Excellent. The Metro scheduler worked with us to schedule convenient time. Emmanuel, the technician, called before came and then showed up on time. We discussed our concerns. He then went up and looked it, discussed the corrective action with us and completed the work in a timely manner. He also inspected the roof and gutters--all good. I will use them again.

Very thorough, patched a few areas. Gave us great comfort that our roof is sound for a few more years.

They did a fantastic job. Not only did they replace the gutter, but suggested we add an aluminum wrapping to the wood that the gutter was fastened onto as it was showing signs of wear. This way, when they put the gutter up, we wouldn't have to worry about anything for awhile. They also cleaned the gutter that didn't need to be replaced while they were there. They were great with communicating with me and actually had a cancellation, so they showed up a week or so earlier that we'd expected - which I really appreciated! They came earlier than expected, did a professional job, and everything looked great! To add a personal touch, a couple of weeks later, we got a hand written card in the mail, thanking us for choosing their company. We were really impressed and we'd recommend them to others and use them again in the future.

Not well. The initial advertisement said "Inspection with minor repairs". It took the company nearly 3 weeks to get to me. OK, that's fine. They added another $50 to the inspection fee because if the height and pitch of my roof, according to them. I have a standard 2 story Virginia colonial. The inspector spent about 1 minute on my roof, did no repair and said $500 to replace 6 tiles, which he could have done in another 2-3 minutes. I agreed to the repair, he said someone would call to set up an appointment. No one called, I called at least twice, no answer. About 10 days later a repair guy called and said he would be there in an hour, no notice. He did the repair, I paid the bill and felt I was set up and ripped off.

I have used Metro Gutter a couple of times to clear clogs in my gutters. I have been very pleased with the service. It's easy to schedule, they show up when promised (if not sooner), I don't have to be there for the service, and the employees are very friendly and work hard. They are a little more expensive than I thought gutter cleaning would be, but I've got some pretty, precarious high gutters - and those are always the ones that get clogged. I will continue to use Metro Gutter.

I puchased an offer for $89 for Roof Maintenance Package. I chose their offer because of how good their reviews were on their work and their rating. I contacted the provider to schedule the service and I was told that they would need a credit card on file before they would schedule me. The fine print did state that that there may be additional charges, which I had no issue with, but they insisted on having my card information on file before they would even place me on their schedule.

Great. Came out when they said they would, didn't find any issues with the roof, and responded to a request to check one area in particular. Very pleased. Purchased service through a Big Deal.

Just got off the phone with these jokers. They wanted to charge me more because Zillow erroneously has my home stated as over 3,000 sq. ft when it is actually 2,245 sq. ft. I explained to the supervisor that Zillow is wrong and that they could confirm the correct square footage on the county website. The supervisor then spoke with here supervisor to no avail. They refused my appeals and would only go by what Zillow has on there website.

The service I paid for went well. They patched and fixed some minor issues. I called the office asked for a written estimate on a roof repair. I also talked to the guy who did the work and asked for an estimate to be done, and I never received one.

I just wanted to clean my siding with the mildew and they quoted me for everything in the world. I just said clean my siding. It’s on three walls the side and the back. That’s all I wanted. S when they quoted me over a $1000 I said I’m not ready for this. That was just horrible and I was just pissed off. I would never recommend them. I am a single woman and I can't afford that.

After scheduling changes on their part, the service performed was good. Inquiry was made for estimate for future work to be done, estimate was given and will be compared with other companies before making a decision. Service representative was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient .However, roof inspection did not include actual walk on roof, nor did it include clearing debris (leaves) which as advertised was supposed to be part of the Big Deal. Disappointed at that, but believe Metro Gutter & Home would do a good job if hired.

The gentleman called 30 minutes before arrival. He arrived on time. The inspection took over 30 minutes and appeared to be thorough. He showed me photos of parts of roof with missing shingles and areas where nails were pushing through shingles. He repaired areas where nail holes were evident. He stated that he could not replace damaged shingles and I would need to contact office to schedule for that.

It was great- from the very pleasant office receptionist to the excellent work performed by James, We had just noticed signs of a leak inside and could see what appeard to be dislodged "flashing." BY coincidence we saw the Angie's deal for a roof inspection and that worked out fine. During the inspection James confirmed the flashing problem, took pictures of the "flashing" and the damaged area because of it. He explained what needed to be done and gave a very reasonable price to do it. They came back a few days later and repaired it. Perfectly matched the shingles. James is extremely professional and explained everything. We definitely and without reservation recommend them.

I asked to reschedule (a week prior to my appointment) and they were not flexible. The earliest time they could fit me in was in another three weeks. I didn't realize how bad this was until calling another company. It was night and day. If they are this difficult for a simple gutter cleaning just go some where else. Lots of companies in DC that are much easier to deal with.

It went okay. I had to pay additional. The roof is not leaking. It would have been nice if they had shared some pictures with me of the work because the roof is so high that I just have to trust that they did a good job. It didn't take that long for them to come out. I wasn't home when they fixed it.

It went very well & completed quickly. Gentleman was professional & explain me the work done & what was needed in future to maintain roof in proper condition. He gave me a written estimate. The estimate is very high for the repairs needed on my roof. Few days later I received a call/message as a follow up if I needed to have the work done.

Went great. James showed up on time and completed his work promptly. He did find some items on the roof that I should get repaired. He left me an estimate for that work.

Roofer came by and did maintenance package as advertised. Said roof was in good shape and repaired flashing around chimney, which I thought might have small leak. Also straightened out front gutter.

The technicians were very nice and did a good job on cleaning the gutters. However, they left me a bit confused when they didn't leave an estimate for repairing my leaking gutters after I'd asked them to.

James called at 30 minutes before he and Alex showed up. I was not home, but my wife was home. They completed the work within about an hour and a half. After the work was done, James showed my wife what work they had done and told her that he fixed the edge of the neighbors gutter that connects to ours. I had suspected that part of our problem was the neighbor's (row houses - what can you expect?). Both James and Alex were very professional and courteous. They presented a family like demeanor which is consistent with all the employees we have had come to our home. The cost was exactly what had been estimated.

Terribly. I feel way too expensive for the amount of work done. I was expecting more for the estimated cost from a highly rated Angies List company - my bad. I certainly didn't understand the estimate as I should have. Charged me over $900 to install only one 16 ft 5-inch gutter and one 2-by-4 fascia board/paint the board. $900 ! Then, after I told the company I would pay the balance by check (which I sent in), the company then also charged my credit card, effectively billing me twice for the same amount. I am so disappointed.

William came over on the day that the main office said that they would. He was friendly and professional. I understand that Metro Gutter is a family business. All of the employees that I have met have been like family. William drove his truck into the alley and I let him in the back gate. He set his ladder up and went onto the roof and did his inspection. He advised a new gutter and a flat extension. He asked if I wanted the gutter guards. He explained that they would only have to be cleaned about every two years. That was music to my ears when he said "about every two years." I did extensive research on gutter guards and found out after reading several customer reviews, there is no such thing as maintenance proof gutter guards. I some point all gutters will need to be cleaned even the ones advertised that you never will clean gutters again." I decided to get the guards. William explained to me each of the things that he recommended be down. We went line by line on the estimate sheet. There is a 50% fee to get on the schedule to actually do the recommended fixes. There was no cost for the estimate. Do note that they are running behind schedule due to all the rain we had in May, but I am willing to wait because quality is worth waiting for.

I just had a bad feeling that this service was going to be foot in the door to charge me even more for a whole host of things I didn't need. This didn't start on the right foot for me and I'm very concerned with vendors whose business model is to low sell then upcharge for every little additional service or use the fine print to charge what they originally wanted to charge for the service. Increase the offer to address these issues and charge what the service costs upfront, not after the coupon is used or during the rendering of the service. Upfront pricing is the best way to do business with me, say the whole cost and charge that!

Company unilaterally cancelled entire job on the morning they were supposed to deliver PVC boards, which I wouldn't have learned until calling office just to find out when boards were coming. Initially I was looking forward to working with company for new gutters and replacement of PVC trim, which I would paint myself to save $, 50% down in march. Since optimal weather conditions are important for proper curing of paint/caulk, I politely gave them heads-up to request rescheduling when weather forecast for rain; every time rain forecast was accurate. Then the company started making me call them each time, even though we all have email -- they even asked me to send them, specifically in writing, that my driveway will accommodate long boards. Job could/should have been completed during perfect weather in late May. That week, office asked me to call and reconfirm, which I obliged (even though by this point, I was feeling like a Pavlovian dog). However, the owner then sent me an email that went to my junk folder, then company cancelled without even bothering to call me even though I had already honored their request to reconfirm by phone. They said it wasn't their fault I didn't receive their email, even though they should have called me if they were making me call them for everything and especially if they were even considering cancellation. Extremely annoying and time consuming double-standard. Then they wouldn't reschedule me until mid-July, even though it was NOT my fault that they hadn't bothered to call me before cancelling after I had already reconfirmed. Because of increased heat/humidity during DC summer, I politely requested delivery of boards three days earlier -- which they refused, even though I was asking more than six weeks in advance. Last week, upon request for reconfirmation, I emailed them back, noting that I'd appreciate delivery of boards early in day. no response. 8a morning of board delivery, I finally called to ask when boards would arrive since I had planned whole week around trying to paint when it was forecast to paint every day before installation -- since company had refused to deliver just a few days earlier, which would have allowed me to paint during preceding dry weekend, but I was trying to work with them. That's when "Patricia" told me the owner had decided "this wouldn't work out for them" and would refund my 50% deposit. She refused to answer when owner had decided this, presumably last week but didn't bother to tell me at that time; owner not even in the office yet to discuss. She then hung up on me, which is even more unacceptable. After all of this, company should complete job in timely and professional manner.
