I have a very small bathroom and it took 3 months to complete my job because of the lack of quality work done and the crew just didn't pay attention to details.The plumbing work was a joke had multiple leaks and one time completely flooded the bathroom AFTER it was "fixed". I kept getting told that my job was "done" and the same things I had pointed out prior still were not addressed. At the end of the job I just gave up and am living with cracked tile, a rusted near the drain BRAND NEW tub, and paint and rust on new hinges. I suggest not looking at the cushy reviews and seeing the ones with the bad experience because those are the REAL reviews. ***EDIT 9/28/19**** Got a phone call from GBC this afternoon, and was offered a $500 gift card to take down this review. Again, check the real reviews. That’s why their listing is so high they try to buy back good reviews!!!!

Pedro Pollarolo and his GBC team did a wonderful job remodeling our kitchen/Family Room. They delivered high quality work, on time and with top notch Customer service. We were almost sad to see them go. We will certainly use their services again when we need them. We would totally recommend them.

Renovating a home can be scary… especially when the homeowners (us) aren’t the “handiest” of people. We interviewed/solicited quotes from somewhere in the neighborhood of eight companies before finally making a decision. For us, a lot of the decision came down to candor, and of course, price. Many of the other companies we ventured to interview came across as “salesy”—boastful and quick to over promise. My experience with Alan at GBC Kitchen and Bath was the complete opposite, and I think much of our decision was a direct result of his demeanor. I felt like I could trust him, and that if he was unsure of something he would second, and triple check with industry SMEs to ensure his answers were indeed 100% correct. We live in a split-level home, and the kitchen remodel we had done was no small feat. Under Charlie and Barack’s leadership/project management, GBC Kitchen and Bath took down two walls, installed an i-beam, rearranged the entire kitchen (to include electric, plumbing and gas), and laid flooring. It was every bit of a gut job—not to mention something that was completed with the likes of a six month old baby and dog in the house, too. The job was completed on time and within budget. We are big fans of HGTV, and as such, had seen many a remodel be turned upside down as a result of poor due diligence. Fortunately for us, we did not run into any major issues. There were a couple projects that were brought to light BEFORE signing of the contract (things that were out of our control and needed to be fixed), but these things could have easily costed way more had Alan and Charlie not worked together to come up with a creative solution. I would absolutely hire GBC Kitchen and Bath again, and would highly recommend them for any job you may be looking to do! The Gerardes

We are very impressed with Pedro Pollarolo and his team from GBC Kitchen and Bath. The company did a great job updating our master bathroom. They were organized and cleaned up each day they worked at the house. From the point of our initial meeting with the Project Designer Pedro, to the actual completion of the job, we werethoroughly pleased with our decision to hire this company. Pedro and his team were very professional and his team did a great job on the work we requested. He was able to assess the work needed accurately and offered up great advice/recommendations on the work to be completed. He and Liz (his assistant manager) were always returning my calls or emails at an appropriate time. We felt very comfortable asking for some last minute changes. We are happy with the service and would recommend the company to family and friends

GBC was terrific – the quality of their material and work was excellent, and their pricing very competitive. Outstanding value! Charlie was the Project Manager, and was terrific: responsive, flexible, and accommodating all my needs. He and Burak (another Project Manager, who assisted with solid advice) really do espouse "customer care". The working team - in particular, Cesar - was the best I’ve worked with in the metro DC area. All of their work was meticulous and their cleanup immaculate - and they were always prompt and on schedule. I have already recommended GBC to my neighbors and friends, and give them the highest marks.

We recently had our kitchen redone under the expert management of Florina Wojiciech of GBC Kitchen and Bath. We have undertaken many remodeling projects during the past forty years and none has ever gone so smoothly as this one. Everything – from the first design to the installation of the last tiles – went flawlessly, thanks to Florina’s professionalism, oversight, and attention to detail. She is an outstanding designer, project manager, and overseer of quality workmanship. We recommend her and her crew most highly!

GBC was exceptional in all regards. The work was completed to a high level of finish. All workers were dedicated, respectful and competent. The working areas were kept orderly and cleaned each evening. The project managers provided very good oversight and provided timely and consistent liaison.

These folks did a great job for us, and at a very competitive price. We dealt with their location in Rockville.We got good guidance on making choices for materials as well. At first, we hired them to do a full renovation of our kitchen. We were so pleased with the results, as well as the work ethic and staying on schedule, that we then asked them back to renovate our Jack & Jill master bath and our powder room/ laundry area as well. Luisa did a solid job of coordinating everything, and had very good back up when she was on vacation over the holidays. Special thanks also to Florina for helping us pick out the most gorgeous backsplash ever and providing other valued guidance. The guys who did the work on site were also really good. Nice work, long hours and worked some Saturdays to keep the projects moving. When once in a while a correction was needed, they took care of it promptly and with a positive attitude. Also very conscientious about leaving work areas as clean as possible at the end of each day. Impressive people, a pleasure to work with.

I’m absolutely delighted by the bathrooms renovation job performed by GBC Kitchen and Bathroom of Alexandria, VA. I hired GBC to renovate and upgrade all my two bathrooms and the powder room. From start to finish, the GBC team listened to my requests, guided me with the process from envisioning design, selecting the materials, delivering the materials to specifications, and performing the renovation jobs. Ms. Eda Yeniay proposed a few design concepts and materials. As someone who was aesthetically challenged, she helped me with choosing the design and color coordination that would stand the test of time. More importantly, she selected high quality materials consistent with the vision. Mr. Charlie Ozdemir was an experienced project manager who ensured that the process would be executed smoothly, on time, and on budget. He excelled in those areas as well as he listened very carefully to and answered all of my questions. I also could not be happier by the skilled craftsmen led by Mr. Ever who executed all the designs and concepts leading to desirable outcomes. Throughout the process, GBC always came up with solutions to possible issues. I really did not have to worry about having the contractor mess up the job. I have now fully renovated, updated, aesthetically pleasing, and modern bathrooms suitable for 21st century. I will entrust GBC again with my kitchen project in the future. Thank you, GBC!!

We used GBC to re-model our kitchen in December 2018. The job included removing soffits and a pantry; adding an island; and installing cabinets, counters, and flooring (including flooring in an adjacent room). We gathered several different price quotes from various companies and GBC's bid was the least costly by a fair amount. Our designer was Luisa and she was very patient with us over a period of probably a couple of years. She did not bother us at all over that time unless we called her and she was fairly responsive to our ideas. The work took 3 weeks and they did an excellent job. They used the same crew for everything except the countertops (those were brought in and installed by the granite company). There were no special visits by electricians, plumbers, etc. Alex and his crew did everything. Our project was managed by Charlie who was always a phone call or text message away if we had a question or needed something addressed. Be aware that the kitchen remodeling experience is not without its' headaches - the crew does make some (minor) mistakes and the initial demolotion is quite messy. But we found Alex and his team to be very responsive to anything we asked. Anything that wasn't right was fixed right away. We did have to supply a few items like a faucet, a garbage disposal, and paint. Oh and there were no big trash bins or anything like that outside the house. They carted everything away every day. We were very satisfied with both the price and the quality of the work and we would use them again. The job was completed on time and we didn't spend a penny more than the price on the contract.

It went great. I don’t know how renovations usually go but in the end I got the kitchen I wanted and they addressed all the issues I had, eventually. Only negative that I can think of with my novice eye was that there were many days where no one showed up to work on it and I wasn’t sure why, as there was nothing in the home that needed waiting for, and all supplies were already on-site. I don’t know if thats standard operating procedure, but it was frustrating to me to keep coming home and finding no one had come that day and not knowing why. But again, in the end, the kitchen looks amazing and the work was quality and I get a lot of compliments on it.

We recently have one of our bathrooms remodeled by GBC. Pedro from GBC is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is the best. He is very knowledgeable, cooperative and understanding. We went to their nice showroom in Rockville, MD. He helped us selecting the materials for Bathroom remodeling. Also, we had little bit of time issue but he scheduled everything very nicely and completed the job way ahead of time. He had a great team. Diego did a very high quality job. We are very impressed with the professionalism, and work ethic of the entire team who were on the project. They arrived promptly each morning, worked through till the evening and cleaned up the job site each evening prior to leaving. GBC is affordable and reliable. We are very happy with our new bathroom. If we have any future project we will definitely contact GBC. We would highly recommend GBC.

11/17/2018 My husband and I needed our Master bathroom refurbished. We went with GBC since it was so close to our house. Burac came to the house and carefully measured the space and designed the new bathroom cabinets and counter tops and showed us many choices for the handles. He did his plan quite fast and neat and allowed me to review and update anything I wanted from the design. We picked out quality lighting to accent the new bathroom. Mario and Alberto were the professional workers that came to our home and they were very pleasant and cheerful. They were very hard working and we appreciated their competency and their neatness. They had all the carpeted stairs and flooring covered with plastic before they began their work. They finished the work in the time frame we agreed upon. We couldn't be more pleased with our new bathroom. We definitely will use them again on our next project.

We had a bathroom totally remodeled by GBC (everything was torn out down to the sub-flooring and to the cinderblock walls and was then replaced and rebuilt), and the experience was very positive. Eda the designer was very pleasant to work with, gave us great ideas and provided us with very detailed design drawings, product specifications and costs before we committed to the job. She also gave us a firm timeline as to when the job would start and approximately how long it would take to finish. They started exactly when they promised, and finished in the time-frame they had estimated. The quality of the work was very good and the workers were very flexible and responsive to my ideas as the work progressed. There were several minor issues (loose towel bar, drain stopper that didn't close tight, and slight leak along the glass shower enclosure) which took several call-backs to fix, but the project manager (Charlie) was very diligent in keeping after these issues until they were resolved. GBC provides a 2-year warranty to stand by their work and will come back to fix any issues that may appear during that time. All of the people I dealt with were very courteous, respectful and professional. I definitely recommend them for kitchen and bath remodeling work!

We just finished a kitchen remodel project with GBC Kitchen and Bath and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Our kitchen looks AMAZING, and everything was finished on-budget and on-time. Florina was integral to designing our kitchen to maximize the use of our space - she was honest, thorough, and detail-oriented throughout. She became a family friend through her work to design and execute our kitchen, and she was always sensitive to the madness of our family going through a kitchen remodel while we had a 3-year-old and 6-month-old. Byron and his crew executed the work quickly and beautifully. Our kitchen looks completely different now and we are so grateful! Highly recommend!

GBC just finished my kitchen project. I am so happy with the results. They were on schedule and the work was very detailed. Pedro helped me during the process and had many great ideas. I couldn’t be happier with how everything worked and how my brand new kitchen is looking. Also very good prices!

We gutted and renovated an old bathroom from 1939 for this project. This involved removing and relocating all the fixtures in the bathroom, including the bathtub and reconfiguring all the plumbing. GBC did an excellent job and completed the project on time and at the proposed cost. GBC's proposed cost was the most competitive that we received. Project design was smooth and efficient and the project was started quickly. The workers were polite, respectful of the house, kept us informed of when work would take place and cleaned up every day. Dust control was excellent. There were almost no days without progress on the project. The tile work, painting and finishing were all professional quality. The overall quality of the work was excellent and we are very pleased with the aesthetic and stylish outcome of the project. We would definitely use GBC again.

GBC Kitchen and Bath just finished my kitchen. They gutted in down to its old studs and rebuilt a beauty, I am very happy with the final results and wish that I had done it many years earlier. What a difference a clean, modern kitchen makes, and it surely adds value to your home. Thanks to everyone at GBC. I am more than happy to refer to everyone I know.

GBC Kitchen and Bath did a fantastic job on our full kitchen renovation in a 50-year old building in the Van Ness/UDC area. We spent several frustrating weeks interviewing kitchen renovators before being referred to GBC by a friend. From our first meeting with Luisa and Pedro we felt we were in good hands. They gave us a prompt and very reasonable estimate, and their crew began work on our full kitchen renovation within a few days. The original plan was for the work to be finished in 2-3 weeks, but they finished in 12 days (including taking down a wall). It was miraculous! The quality of the work is superb. There was one small glitch at the end of the job, but it was resolved with haste and professionalism. We couldn't be more thrilled with GBC or our new kitchen!

Project went extremely well - On time and on budget. Alan was great with estimates etc. Burak was the project manager who was always responsive, timely and professional. The crew was outstanding - I felt comfortable leaving them a key for them working when we were not home. The dog loved them and she is a great judge of character! The work was complicated with electrical and plumbing - everything turned out excellent / attention to detail etc. I will really look forward to using this company again for a kitchen remodel and request to work with Alan & Burak.

Staphany and Luisa took great care of us from the start. They came to our home and turned around a terrific, innovative design that was both simple and elegant. They worked closely with us on all the details and modifications and ensured the project started on time. They kept in close touch and also helped ensure we were doing the things we needed to in order to keep the project on time. The time from demo to move in was just six weeks. Our kitchen is now just beautiful and we got incredible value and exceptional service. GBC treated us the entire time as if we were their most important customer. They were easy to get in touch with, reassuring and went above and beyond to be helpful. Our experience was absolutely wonderful, and we would highly recommend them. We definitely would hire them again.

I hired GBC after getting bids from several other companies because I liked our project manager, Luisa, and the pricing was competitive. They were professional, and punctual. When I pointed out issues, they addressed them without any drama. And they did a fabulous job. I was worried about hiring a remodeling company as opposed to just using our trusted contractor, but I know now that I made the right choice.

This company worked magic on my hall bathroom. All done right before the holidays! Great team to work with. They were not the lowest quote I received, but due to such good reviews I decided to hire them and they came thru with the job. Quality of material and workmanship is great. I recommend them any day.
