I did an extensive search for a company to remodel my 5X8 guest bathroom. After speaking with several potential companies, I chose GBC due to prompt response, cost, and ability to listen to my objectives. I had a design and color concept which was developed with the main designer Fabian, and it took very little time to put together. From this point everything came together smoothly. The workers were extremely polite, showed up when they said they would, communicated to verify choice options, and cleaned up daily. Example-I provided coffee for the workers and one morning I returned home after an errand and the coffee cups had been washed! The tile work and painting were meticulously done, and the finishing touches were perfect. Everyone I spoke with seemed truly interested in my happiness and satisfaction with the work. This has been a wonderful experience and I am so in love with the results. The room is stunning!

My wife and I hired Gbc Kitchen and Bath to completely redesign the kitchen and basement of our home. One of the things that impressed us most they were affordable. Sal and Omar did really good job. We really were blown away with the quality of service Gbc provided and whole heartedly recommend them. Don’t consider anyone else...

They did an excellent job. They got it done on time and on budget. My wife loves the kitchen, especially the new sink. I posted a picture of the finished kitchen on social media and the responses were "looks great" and "beautiful work".

After due diligence including interviews and project quotes from four companies …we selected GBC Kitchen and Bath for a complete remodel of two full bathrooms. We couldn’t be more pleased with the new bathrooms and we can’t say enough about the positive experience we had with GBC throughout the process from design to project management to construction. Everyone we interacted with was professional, customer focused and quality oriented. From Fabian in project design, to Ray and Sujan in project management, to Omar and Wilmer and the construction team … our voices were heard on our requirements… we were kept informed throughout … issues were resolved in a timely manner… and importantly, the quality of the renovation work and the care that was taken to protect the rest of the house during construction was exceptional. Our bathrooms were completed on time and on budget…and we are thrilled with the results. Thank you to the GBC team!

Steer clear - I wish I had trusted their BBB page more before I signed their contract: [*** Link removed ***] While GBC definitely makes everything pretty, their lack of quality is remarkable. Our project has taken more than triple the quoted duration and GBC has still not fixed all of their quality issues. In some cases, they did try up to four times to fix things, but failed each time. In other cases, I had to remind them up to five times - for example, they had dripped paint on our floors and did not clean it up for months. In each case, they never once told me "oops, sorry, this didn't go well and we will fix it". Instead, they waited for me to find it and then argued with me about fixing it. They have demanded payment multiple times despite a cracked and uneven floor and warped cabinets. I showed them the quotes that I received from real professionals to fix both, and they are still arguing. They offered 75% of the floor quote, and they refuse to refund me for the cabinets that they now tell me are designed to warp every 6-12 months. Of course, there was no mention of this either before we hired them or in our contract. We had even asked them to recommend cabinets during our design phase. This is what they chose. Very low quality, and definitely worth paying a bit more for a reputable contractor.

GBC Kitchen and bath did an excellent remodeling of three bathrooms in our home seamlessly. The assigned program manager (Enrique) was very professional, helpful, courteous, and kept us well informed about the progress of the effort. The GBC team did an excellent job of teardown and installation of tiles, floors, and cabinets. The company manager (Liz Rivas) was very responsive, and helpful to our needs and understood our requirements clearly, and executed flawlessly. We interviewed 4 companies and picked GBC for our kitchen remodel. Designer was easy to work with and came up with a good design for our smallish kitchen. As planned, job began very soon after receiving the cabinets (longest lead time item). Started with a Project Manager and Work Team on site review of the project to supplement the drawings. Clearly an experienced crew who worked hard but, efficiently. Were always sure to check with us to confirm something is how we wanted it before performing the work and provided good advice when needed. Estimated job would take 4-5 weeks but, completed in 3. Again, not a huge kitchen. We made sure all items that were our responsibility to procure (Appliances, Paint, Specialty Trim, etc.) were on site when needed. Plus, it helped that we were working from home the entire time so decisions were made quickly. At the end we did a punchout list for a few small things that GBC quickly took care of. Job site was always neatened up and trash (bagged)/debris set out for pickup at the end of each day. Then, a final cleaning. Overall a good experience. Very happy with the results. Thanks to Fabian (Designer), Selim (PM), and Ever and Team (Onsite work).

The project went off extremely well. The team was dedicated efficient timely and of extremely high quality. The price was very reasonable. The work was done by their own dedicated people. They also provided the timeline and followed it overall — in tasks they often beat their schedules. They were to replace the doors to a couple of closets — each closet of a different size. But they had ordered the doors for one closet incorrectly and hence the delay in completing the project. They had no problems with the minor tweaks and changes we requested ( we made no major change to the design). Pedro was a great project director and planner. Tony was a wonderful Projext Manager and Alex and team did an excellent work. I would want to ask them to renovate our kitchen in a couple of years.

GBC did a great job. They pretty much remodeled our whole house and it looks great. They only used top quality parts. Pedro did a great job designing the remodel and the project Manager Tony carried it out to perfection.

GBC removed old carpet in three bedrooms, hallway and stairs and installed Bruce hardwood flooring and completely reworked our staircase. They installed hardwood on the stairs and new newel posts. They also painted our hallway and staircase. Just gorgeous! Pedro did a wonderful job helping us design the project and Enrique, our Project Manager, ensured every detail was completed beautifully. They showed up every day and worked hard to complete the project. Their attention to detail was really appreciated and everyone was more than willing to answer our questions. I highly recommend this company and would hire them again without reservation. Job well done!!

GBC did an outstanding job on our bathroom remodel from start to finish. Fabian, the project designer, helped us pick out just the right materials. Sujan, the project manager was great. He checked in everyday either in person or by text. He worked with the workers, making sure everything was done according to the plan. The two workers were just great. They were so friendly and professional. They also checked with us when there were questions. Their work was excellent They did a wonderful job on our kitchen about 7 years ago and we are so happy we went back to them. The job was on time and on budget. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

When we first decided that we would do a major remodel on our kitchen, I began researching companies. GBC Kitchen and Bath was one of the first companies that I came across. After researching other companies, GBC stood out. They had many great reviews based on their quality of work, price, and professionalism. We opted to do a consult with them. During the initial consult, we met with George Bryan, the designer. We gave him our budget range, and a general idea of what we wanted. He came back with a great design and within the budget range (we ended up going slightly over the budget but that was because we added on some stuff along the way). George was very professional and responsive. We ran by a lot of different ideas by him, and he would always give his honest opinion. Also, he was very helpful when it came to choosing countertops, backsplash, cabinetry, etc. When the project began, we were assigned our project manager, Ray. Ray was great. He was very professional and responsive to any questions we had and would constantly give us updates about what the crew would work on and when. He was easy to communicate with. During the project, the crew took all of the necessary COVID precautions and masks were worn at all times. They gave us a timeline of 4 weeks and they actually were done 1 day early! How often do contractors actually get done quicker? I'm so used to projects taking longer that expected so this was a breath of fresh air. They only reason it took 4 weeks was because the Alexandria City took a long time to actually come out to inspect. Ray and warned us up front that Alexandria City was notoriously slow for inspections. The finished product of our kitchen is outstanding. We received a lot of compliments on the design and quality of work, including my father-in-law, who is quite good at finding at finding even the smallest imperfections, saying, "They knocked it out of the park. I can't find anything wrong with it.". Overall, I can't say enough good things about our experience with the GBC team with a special thanks to George, Ray, and the entire crew that worked on kitchen.

I would highly recommend the company. Quality workmanship and in a timely manner. Projects were completed in six weeks and the supervisor came once or twice a day to check on progress and answer any questions A professional and trustworthy company.

We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end with GBC. Our designer Pedro was very patient and helped us create a beautiful and very functional space. This company is a well oiled machine. Everyone communicates on a daily basis and everyone is a professional. Our Project Manager Tony was always available when we had questions or concerns. Everyone that worked on our project was very skilled and talented. They were respectful of our home and worked hard everyday. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.

This complete renovation of a small bathroom went well for the most part. Staff were respectful and considerate. They were not as tidy as I would have liked but it was a small space in which to work and store tools and products. Some details should have been settled before work began, such as finding a replacement door, and change orders were not submitted before the changes were started, though staff did get verbal approval before changes were started. The final product is a fantastic new bathroom that shows superb attention to detail.

Our completely new, renovated kitchen was completed on time and within a very reasonable budget, even in view of the current pandemic situation. The kitchen is beautiful and we are extremely satisfied with the result. Liz Rivas, the GBC main point of contact, was terrific to work with from planning through the final execution stages. The rest of the GBC supporting staff, Henry, Louisa, Tony and Enrique were skilled, courteous and efficient. The site was also cleared of excess materials and professionally cleaned and the company acted immediately on follow up matters. A very good organization to do business with.

We recently hired GBC for a significant, top-to-bottom D.C. row-house renovation, and we are very glad that we did. From beginning to end, GBC was helpful, responsive, and professional. Our project included the following: fully renovating a kitchen; removing a wall dividing the kitchen and living room; installing built-in bookshelves and living-room cabinets; renovating a powder room; converting a bathroom into a bedroom; building two new bathrooms; building three new closets; installing new HVAC; installing a new hot water heater; new electrical work; repainting; installing new trim and doors; and installing new hardwood floors. Everything was completed with a high level of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The project was also completed ahead of schedule. The Rockville-based GBC team, led by Luisa and Pedro, was very responsive to emails and text messages, gave helpful advice and suggestions, and, perhaps most importantly, was honest and trustworthy. Pricing for change orders—inevitable in a project as large as ours—was reasonable and fair, and even once we paid in full, Luisa and Pedro immediately took care of any outstanding requests that we had. In short, GBC handled our challenging project very well, and we would highly recommend them to others in the area.

I was really scared to take on a massive project like renovating a master bathroom, but the GBC Kitchen and Bath team were very professional and supportive. They provided great design advice, explored ways to ensure I stayed within budget, and were very efficient with their time and effort. They stayed on scheduled, provided their own material, cleaned up after themselves and didn’t accept the lash check until I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend them. They are straight forward and will not waste your time.

The GBC project management and design teams were terrific to work with and they produced a quality kitchen renovation for us! We were not initially looking forward to this project but their team made it easy and beat their own timeline for completion. Our experience was very positive with GBC Kitchen and Bath. We redid a half bath and the kitchen in our mother in law suit! We were so thankful they finished on time as our mother in law had moved in already and we wanted her space to be special and great! They did such a great job and my mother in law is so happy with her new space all thanks to your team!!

We had a lot of water damage from a recent stretch of rain. We had to 100% gut our basement bathroom and re do the entire thing. GBC took the project on with no problem. They finished on time, under budget, and helped us a design a more efficient bathroom. The team was so nice and extremely professional.
