GBC Kitchen & Bath was referred to me by a good business friend, who has worked with GBC on few other projects before. Although I trust my good friend, as a business owner myself, I made sure to have at least three more quotes to compare the price and material that i would get. After all, it was a pretty big and crucial investment in one of my existing hair salon that I wanted to update. After comparing quotes, I found that GBC estimate was higher than the others. I visited all showrooms and got a pretty good impression of the companies and their people behind the scene. Soon I gave up on the other showrooms that I visited. One of the showrooms designers seemed unable to even answer a few simple questions about their company project procedure. Either the other showrooms were cluttered or no one took the time to talk to me. GBC was different, unlike the other showrooms. Later on I understood that GBC?s price was worth any penny of the project. It did not take me too long and I was already with GBC. The more I got in touch with them, the more i was confident to have the right company for my project. I experienced great communication, commitment, teamwork, customer service and technical know-how: All those aspects that are not easily found in one place. I know from a business perspective how challenging it can be to please a customer. Especially in today?s environment were customers are able to leave reviews everywhere. There are great customers, loyal customers, honest customers, as well as, unfortunately customers trying to take advantage or just frustrated people with personal issues trying to blame others. My project was completed in a perfect timely manner. The material and workmen ship / tiling is outstanding and I hear that from my customers all the time. I gained more and efficient space in the salon due to the competent up-front design Osman worked out for me. All the coordination and preparation of the project was enormous. Its not all about price, but more over the quality of service the confidence to work with a reliable company and its team. There is nothing better to trust than a good old business friend?s advice. And I am so proud to refer GBC to my customers as the outcome of the project is obviously outstanding. I will be definitely in touch with Osman and his great GBC team for more upcoming projects along the road, as we are planning to extent our family!

GBC did such a great job, we can't say enough good things. We compared quotes, and not only were they great in price and quality, but they were very personable with a awesome service. We hesitated how to start and who to use with our project as my husband is a picky person due to his carrier but after GBC's showroom visit we had a good feeling. Nili welcomed us warmly and guided us through the showroom as we had our first appointment and explained some of the cabinets and made us aware of several stages on a project. We were very impressed. Our designer Osman was very responsive and stopped by several times to check on our project and his assistant Eren, who always was there for us, when Osman was not available. We had requested some updates to our initial contract which increased the cost a little but I m very glad that our project has worked out so well. I already had several neighbors and friends come to our house and provided GBC contact info. Now, our next project is to finish our basement and we know for sure that GBC will do this job for us as they have earned our trust completely.

Our main point of contact at GBC was Osman. He gave us a tour of the GBC showroom in Alexandria, came to our house (several times) to take measurements, gave us recommendations on appropriate improvements to our home, developed a detailed contract proposal, was willing to negotiate on the total contract price, and stayed in close contact with us for the duration of the project. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. Whenever I had a concern I called Osman, and he made sure that my concerns were resolved (including several trips to our house to make sure that everything was okay). The actual construction was performed by several groups of workers. I was at home observing all of the construction, and I am a perfectionist who pays very close attention to detail, so I had a lot of questions and concerns. I'm happy to say that all of my questions and concerns were satisfactorily resolved. The main construction supervisor, Javier, had a lot to do with that. In his role, he oversees construction on multiple projects throughout the DC region, so he is a very busy man. But he made several trips to our home to address my concerns and direct the workers to make any necessary improvements. The project took longer than originally scheduled, but part of that was due to me asking for additional work. Also, all of the work was done at the agreed upon contract price (which, by the way, was a very good price - compared to other estimates we received). There were no unwelcome surprises. The main takeaway I have from this experience is that GBC seems very committed to customer satisfaction. If they don't do something right the first time, and the customer is not satisfied, they will do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer. I think that's pretty unusual and very noteworthy.

The work that was supposed to be finished "by Christmas," started in mid Novenber and lasted until February. There was one legitimate delay, when a cabinet needed to be exchanged. The work timing was erratic and at one time put on hold because they shifted their workforce to a client that needed his job completed by Christmas!!! As a female, I felt condescended to at times, not by the wonderful workers, but the contractor and his man overseeing the workers. This guy was not responsive when called or asked to inspect a job. I was later told he had family problems. Often days went by where no work was being done as promised. In spite of the time lags and arguements over esthetics, the items purchased from them were of excellent quality. The various workers coming in to do the work were courteous, worked very hard, did quality work, and arrived on time. In an exit conversation with the contractor, I voiced my concerns about the "one stop shopping" approach and various problems we had experienced. He explained that the company is like a family and rely only on each other. This explained some of the work lag and reluctance to refer to the vendors for a wide selection. Additionally, there was no inspection for the electrical work other that the contractors helper. Although I should have known better about not getting an electrical inspection, it was not suggested either. I am happy with the completed kitchen in quality and workmanship and have no complaints about that . I have to admit some of my own deficits in knowing the proper procedures, but that is what they are for! This would be a good company for your renovation with the limitations noted.

The original consultation, estimate and selection of materials was without incident. The overall remodeling work was frustrating at times. GBC was rated highly and based on reviews here and their estimate I contracted with them. But it seems, as someone recently comment here, they sub-contract most of their work and it appears do not have the resources to monitor or manage the crews. Much of the time I was the crew manager or lead pointing things out. Communication was non-existent or poor at times. Some of the observations from the job: Tile grout was white, specified black. Had to redo grout. Outlets were not installed originally and had to bring person back; Old cabinets, material sat in front yard for days until requested immediate removal. Several days door and bathroom / LR windows left open or unlocked after crew left. Mismatched cabinet doors with hardware installed even after told they would not be accepted. Many of the finer points (punch list) had to be explained many times - lacking quality control to inspect job and determine what is acceptable. As example, toe-kick on base cabinet installed unfinished side facing out. Had to point out more than once to correct. Kitchen appliances put in place and connected, but never set-up. Packing material, wrap left on. Took weeks with little communication to get new cabinet doors in and installed. Kitchen clean-up after completion was rushed through. In the end the job was finished, kitchen acceptable but experience left much to be desired.

After the beautiful job the company did on our bathroom, we hired them to renovate our kitchen as well. They did a beautiful job. Osman, the designer, came to the house, took measurements and gave us an estimate. We then went to the showroom, picked out the cabinets, tile flooring, backsplash and granite for the countertop. The quality of work and materials is excellent. They responded quickly to any problems, and worked with us to adapt the design to suit the actual room (uneven ceiling, one cabinet was the wrong style, one cabinet door was stained). The workmen were polite, clean, and worked very hard. One concern from the bathroom reno was that they didn't let us know when they would be working. This time, they emailed the day before, and called the morning of, to let us know about what time the workers would be there. The kitchen came in on time and on budget. We are very pleased with our beautiful kitchen!

I could not be happier or more satisfied with GBC Floors, Kitch & Bath. From the very beginning, staff was very attentive and helpful. It took a while for me to decide on the granite and ceramic tile I wanted to use for my kitchen remodel and "Koksal" (the main salesperson that I worked with) was very patient with me. The price was by far the best. I checked with two other Angie's List companies for an estimate of work. GBC was at least 25 -30% cheaper. But, the quality of work and work ethic was not compromised. "Camile" checked on the job (in person) occasionally once work began to make sure everything was going smoothly. The plumber stopped by soon after being notified of a small leak under newly installed sink the day after work was completed. All of the staff (both in the store and the technicians) were courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend GBC Kitchen to friends and family as they were honest/fair and did a fantastic job from start to finish.

Had the family bathroom remodeled. Visited several other bath/kitchen remodel companies, GBC was local, and had the best price. They also allowed us to select fixtures such as shower and sink faucets from other than what they offered. The showroom had a great selection of tile and cabinetry. As we bought a package, we were limited to the number of choices of cabinets, tile and granite for the countertop, but all were of good quality. Pros: The quality of work is excellent. The workmen respected our space, and kept the area clean. While trash was kept in our yard, it was cleaned up the next day.The quality of the cabinet, tile and fixtures is excellent.Any problems were solved immediately, or as soon as they could be, and to our satisfaction. Cons: Communication was fair to bad. We were never told when to expect them, after the first three days. Even if we called, we were never told when they would show up. If they did say, they were usually wrong, in that no one would show. Frustrating. We are very happy with the results of the remodel, and are strongly considering GBC for our kitchen remodel as well. We are waiting for the design estimate.

Tom, the designer, seemed pretty good. The overall experience was excellent. I could possibly use their services in the future.

They gave us a fair estimate. They were punctual. They were very efficient. They were done in less than a week.

They provided high quality of materials and work and they were competitively priced.

GBC has been great. This was the first time I've done any home remodeling work, and I got GBC's name from a realtor friend of mine who had used them to remodel her kitchen. Kemal at GBC took the time to help me pick out flooring, the vanity and fixtures -- even when I showed up at the showroom without notice. The workers were always on time and very professional. I was a little worried on the first day when I came home to find the debris from the demolition in our condo parking lot. I emailed Kemal and Nili, Kemal's assistant, and within the hour a truck came to remove it. Also, where tile was installed in a different pattern than I requested, I emailed and it was fixed the next day with no questions asked. Those were the only two small problems we've had and we are more than half way through the remodel. So far the workers are moving the project along according to schedule. The project was estimated to take two weeks and the full bath is nearly completed (in a week and a half!), the ceiling and wall damage has been repaired, and painting on the main level is about 1/2 finished. GBC also worked with me on budget. Because the damage in the house was covered by our insurance, Kemal provided a reasonable estimate within two days after he came to look at the damage, which I submitted to my insurance company. He was able to provide a separate budget that covered the upgrades that I wanted that would not be covered by insurance. So far I've been extremely impressed. I will provide an update and pictures when the final project is completed.

My wife and I knew after our first meeting in the showroom with the GBC staff that our year long search was about to end. Very helpful in the bathroom designs and selection of materials. Provided excellent suggestions to reduce costs, e.g. don't relocate the toilet to the opposite wall. Also provided advice to ensure the project would be completed as envisioned, e.g. larger pipes from basement to increase water flow to the multi-functioning shower heads/sprays. Really satisfied with new extremely quiet exhaust systems on timers with lights, night light and heating. The workmen always arrived when scheduled and were very professional. Everyday the work sites were left clean and any carpet uncovered and vacuumed. My wife (and I) couldn't follow the "no change rule" but GBC was very cooperative. The final price paid was the same as the estimated bid price. My wife and I are planning to have the kitchen remodeled and of course GBC will be our contractor of choice. Recommend them without any reservations.

They were really good. There were one or two problems, but the customer was always right and they always corrected everything. They were very responsive. The workmen were very accommodating and nice.

It was a great experience working with GBC. They did great work for the budget I provided and were very professional with great customer service. I highly recommend them!

The guy showed up when he was supposed to, he got the quote to me within three days, but we just opted to go with someone else. The price he gave was fair. I sell real estate and I’ve recommended him a couple of times.

Their service was great! We have no complaints.

They came in on one morning and took out the cabinets, counters, sink, lights and the next day they put new installations in. The countertop was a beautiful granite, and the cabinets were an oak color with black detailed trim and one had double glass doors. The sink is a deep double steel sink. The cutting of the granite countertop was done on-site and we were able to get the perfect measurements.
