Express Moving and Storage

We needed to (relatively last minute) get the rest of our house packed up and stored. This included a gym (with 100s of pounds of weights), treadmill, music equipment, couches, book shelves, books, a piano and probably 50 boxes of "stuff". Robin's responsiveness alone would given these guys 4 or 5 stars but the crew that showed up (led by Hugo) was remarkably professional, hard working, careful, and positive. When they arrived they realized that the job was bigger than we had spoken about but nobody was angry or irritated. We just updated the scope and moved forward. They just let me know that they can still get it all out (which was important because we had to cut power the next morning). Hugo and his team worked hard for almost 12 hours, taking the most delicate care of my belongings even at the end of the day when everyone was tired. These guys might be a tad pricey but you get what you pay for it and believe me, it's a bargain. I wish I could give them a higher rating.

The company provided 2 movers to move my mom out of a 2 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom condo. The team arrived on time (called 20 mins prior to arrival). They were very professional and nice people to work with. They worked at a good pace, and were very careful with loading and unloading the items. The truck was well packed -- nothing shifted during transit -- and no items were damaged or broken. Robin and Cesar in the front office were very responsive to emails and calls, and made sure all of our needs were addressed. I would highly recommend Express Moving and Storage -- they were excellent!

Express Moving was great! Their price was 30% less than the other mover that gave us a quote. Robin was very responsive and the movers did a great job on both ends of the job. They were very pleasant, worked quickly and efficiently, and got the job done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them to anyone in Northern VA.

I rarely give reviews, but here it goes. Robin's team was the best I've ever worked with on a move, and I once moved 8 times in 10 years. They were on time, professional in every sense, extremely careful in the way they packed, and polite. Robin is very responsive and got back to me quickly any time I called, which was also greatly appreciated. He also arranged for my Steinway piano to be moved into a separate climate controlled storage until we are back in our house. After all, Quinn's Auction House trusts them with priceless antiques. I feel my Steinway and household goods are in good hands, and I look forward to the move back into our renovated home.

Express moving & storage was absolutely amazing. We just had a very large move and everything from the initial quote, scheduling, and actual move was done flawlessly. I cannot say enough good things about the crew that came to move us. They were to arrive at eight am and exactly to the minute they pulled down our street in two brand new, beautiful trucks. Every single one of them was professional and friendly. They got to work immediately and honestly went above and beyond on several occasions. This was a SUPER hot day, they never complained and worked so hard all day. The move with the Express team was terrific. They were punctual and helpful throughout. On moving day, the guys went the extra mile, wrapping furniture, moving quickly, and helping us deal with last-minute items we'd forgotten about. Both crews (loading and unloading) were pleasant and great. We felt the price was fair, and their care and attention to detail made it well worthwhile. I recently moved a bunch of stuff from my house to a storage unit in Falls Church, VA. I used Express Moving & Storage and they were really excellent. Jose and Dustin called ahead of time to let me know they were on the way, they arrived on time, loaded everything efficiently and reached the storage unit very quickly. The only available unloading bay at the storage facility was more or less blocked by a huge truck. Jose managed to maneuver his own large truck into an extremely tight space, thereby saving a lot of time--and time is money. Jose is a phenomenal driver! And under Dustin's direction, they were able to stack everything with great precision in a relatively small storage unit. Dustin is definitely a master packer! An excellent job and at a very reasonable price. You won't find better than this. Many thanks to Robin and Cesar of Express Moving & Storage for providing such a fantastic team.

There were some misunderstanding regarding the putting together the furnitures brought from the storage. In my written request for estimate I clearly mentioned that furnitures from the storage needed to be assembled at the delivery location. The movers were not aware of that requirement and had to call office to confirm. there was about 15 minutes delay in starting the unloading operation. Express provided a 'not to exceed charges' which was about $100.00 more than the base quote. At the end of the day the time needed exceeded the estimate.It was about one and half hours over the base estimate. I was pleasantly surprised when the mover told me that my cost would not exceed the quoted maximum. It was a complicated move but at the end was done very well. In last 5 years I have moved four times. This move was most cost effective and hassle free.

Awesome! Movers were very timely and efficient. Handled my furniture and boxes with care !!!!! Owner is super nice and made sure he addressed all my questions and touched base with me periodically as I scheduled my move a few months in advance!!!!

These guys did an INCREDIBLE job - we were moving from a townhome to a larger home, and had a storage unit full of stuff to move to boot. These guys were prompt, incredibly polite, and wrapped everything with clear plastic and packing blankets to ensure there would be no dings and scratches on the journey. We had antique furniture, paintings, heavy electronics, you name it - they moved it all safely and efficiently. I would recommend Express to anyone, especially if they have expensive items that need special care.

That was the movers. Just give them A's in everything.

It went well. They could not get a few larger items in stair way but tried several ways and this simply was not their fault.

It went great. We were apprehensive (hadn't moved in 30 years!) because everybody has a horror story about moving. Express Movers were just terrific. They arrived on time, were professional and thorough, and charged a fair price. I would hire them again in a minute.

The three man team completed the job in under an hour (in the pouring rain, no less). They were professional, on-time, and had great communication from the scheduler/office. Given the heavy rain, they took extra caution to not bring any mud into he house. Would definitely hire again and recommend.

Best movers I have ever used. Showed up 10minutes early to pack my belongings, the next day to pack the truck, and the third day to drop off and unpack. Not a thing was broken and the crew was very professional.

The entire Express Moving & Storage team was efficient, responsive, and top class. From the get-go, Robin was quick to respond to my quote inquiry and answered all of my questions when I realized i had more stuff that needed to be moved than I anticipated. The morning of the move, the team got there on time and worked what ended up being a 14 hour day on the hottest day of the year so far. All items were packed efficiently and securely. There was no damage to belongings or residences. My wife and I were very impressed and so glad for the help as I had broken my leg a few weeks prior and my wife was 5 months pregnant (so obviously we needed all the help we could get). The price was also reasonable and toward the bottom of other quotes we obtained. It can't get better than great work for a reasonable price.

They showed up on time (what a concept!), and the crew was super friendly and professional. They were very careful with my items, and made sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it and that I was happy with everything before the left. The price was also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of movers.

This move took lots of coordination, and required flexibility on the part of Express. Robin was terrific in handling the details and taking that burden off my mind. The crews were very professional, extremely pleasant to work with, and careful. Terrific!

Although we underestimated the number of furniture items, the company and crew were extremely accommodating to get everything moved and make it a great experience.
