Express Moving and Storage

Our residential move with Express Moving went extremely well from start to finish. Robin visited in person and gave us a straight forward estimate. The system they use was easy to understand. The crew was outstanding. They were extremely friendly and the foreman communicated with us throughout the move. They took care to protect our belongings. Nothing was lost or broken during our move. I highly recommend Express Moving.

SIMPLY THE BEST… I can’t wax rhapsodic enough!! Professional, courteous, friendly, fast, flexible, resourceful, honest, and reliable — What more could you ask of your movers? Oh, yeah — REASONABLY PRICED! Our journey started two years ago as we sought to store our entire household in the Maryland suburbs north of DC in preparation for traveling the country for a year or more. Already having worked with Express Moving & Storage on a much smaller move, we asked Robin Boldt to bid on the much bigger job. Robin did his walk-thru inventory conveniently by video call with total precision for meeting our moving and storage needs, and his team followed suit by delivering on every promise. Nearly two years later we hired Express again to handle the long-distance move from our storage in Baltimore to our new home in Chicago. The team, led by the same foreman — Walter — loaded our belongings into their van and off-loaded the very next morning, expertly and expeditiously. The entire experience — from door to warehouse to door — couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Many thanks to everyone at Express for making it look so easy!

Great experience. Pricing is competitive and the service is great. They don't try to nickel and dime to upcharge for things. Unless something out of the ordinary happens, the price they quote is the price you pay. They worked quickly and efficiently to finish the job in the timeframe quoted and nothing was damaged. I would highly recommend!

Express is a fabulous company. This was my first experience hiring movers, for which I was nervous. Peter was prompt in answering my request for a quote and all of my questions after. The moving team itself was also great - punctual, efficient, and friendly. And they did all of this at a better price than other quotes I received. I hope I don’t have to move again for a long time, but if I do I am calling Express again

Peter was great in helping me set up the move. The guys who did the moving were very careful with my things. They were friendly and efficient.

The crew was efficient, polite, and great at what they do. I just finished unpacking and not a single item was damaged in any way. Excellent work! The communication with the office prior to the move was also fantastic-- very responsive and detail oriented.

I got several heavy...like pretty heavy stuffs to move, due to some reason they cannot actually be put down during the transportation and they got such a high height that most of the trucks like u-hual or penske can provide are not ideal to accommodate, when I almost gave up on hope the Express Moving and Storage just showed up and said they could do some help-and they actually did it! They bring a BIG truck and their crews are pro and expertise in all of this, they did a brilliant job. Well done guys, and well done Express Moving and Storage!

You exceeded my expectations! I receiver white glove treatment and the price was sooo reasonable. Great care was used and Cesare and Gabriel were kind and respectful. I recommend your company without any questions ! Congratulations on a great job.

Excellent service all around from the initial quote through the completion of our move. Peter was very responsive and on top of emails, and the movers (Juan, Errin, and Johnny) did an amazing job loading everything and unloading as we needed at the new apartment. My wife and I will definitely use them again in the future, highly recommended.

We have worked with Robin, Cindy & their team for 3 moves and we will never look elsewhere. Their process is simple, they take so much care and attention to detail, they have always helped us stay calm and go the extra mile packing items carefully and working efficiently. Above all the team is joyful, pleasant, lending a helping hand and very understanding while tackling the inevitable hurdles that can arise (navigating tight spaces, stairs, parking, etc). Outstanding service. Highly focused team of movers went right to work and took very good care of our possessions. Packers came in day 1 and carefully packed our 5 bedroom house. Day 2, the moving team carefully brought our possessions into the new house – not as much as a scratch on anything! We actually made changes on where the furniture goes and the team cheerfully made the changes in real-time as we requested. Amazing job, melton and Jose arrived to the job on time (even a little early), did the walk through of the items that needed to move professionally and discretely. They packed everything to ensure there would be no damage in transit. When we arrived at the destination they unpacked and put everything just as I ask. Great experience and would hire again in a heartbeat.

Every thing about this move was excellent, from the initial contact to the end of the move. I found the virtual meeting with co-owner Robin to be just as accurate as several in-person meetings with other moving companies, and yielded a fast, detailed and very reasonable estimate. When I added items after that, to go to a second location, he came back with a thoughtful revision to give me the best possible savings of both time and expense. The moving day crew led by Wyatt arrived on time (actually a tiny bit early), and every single man was cheerful, professional, and efficient. They worked as a cohesive team so that everything was packed carefully and moved out much faster than I expected. Moving in at the other end was just as smooth. As important, not one thing was damaged or missing. Also important is that the final invoice had no unexpected add-ons and the only surprise was that it was less than I thought it would be. Let's face it. Moving is always stressful, so knowing it's being handled by a company you can trust goes a long way toward making it a great experience. And I had a great experience! It was a small move, but everything went GREAT! Cindy was very responsive in setting up the move and the movers Walter and Milton couldn't have been better. Very careful and efficient. Even though it was a small job, I feel I got first-class service. Thank you Express Moving and Storage!

The movers arrived right on time both for the move-out and move-in, they carefully wrapped all my fragile items including a large, thin TV and numerous pieces of expensive computer and office equipment, including a number of thin glass panels. There wasn't a single scratch or crack on anything after the move. The movers were both very professional and they did a great job coordinating the move, I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

The owner, office staff and moving team were all extremely professional and know their job well. Based on a video walk-thru the owner knew exactly how many trucks and movers and how much time we'd need. The estimate was spot on. Everything was handled carefully, large items that were disassembled were reassembled in place at the end. The moving team was happy to shift furniture and boxes to different rooms as I re-evaluated the space in the new house. I never want to move again, but if I had to I would definitely use them.

It has been more than a week since Jose and his crew moved us from Laurel to Brunswick MD. Just wanted to praise their professionalism, expertise and timeliness in executing our move. We were not as prepared as we wanted to be and they packed up many items that were still left. The crew had a long day and at Brunswick some pieces of furniture had to be moved more than once to make everything fit. Once again, thanking you, Jose and his crew and Express Moving and Storage for a well planned and executed move.

Express was great. Robin met with my mom and gave her a fair quote, detailed and affordable. The crew arrived on moving day a little early, and did not waste any steps in their efforts. King size mattress lowered down from 2nd floor balcony safely. Couches, tables, dressers and bed were all put in place at new condo as requested, including rolling out rugs and some furtniture reassembly from the move. Local move from S. Arlington to Falls Church, and the crew was done faster than quoted which saved a little more money off the initial estimate. Walter, Wilbur and Victor did solid work. Would certainly hire again.

The crew had a rough time finding our address but everyone does. Once they got started they were quick, pretty clean and friendly. Communication was good. On the unpacking side it was the same. The total was below the quote.

This was the best moving experience I’ve ever had. Cindy and the Express Moving team made every step of the moving process seamless, timely, and professional. Every aspect went according to plan, and the movers did a fantastic job (4 flights of stairs, no elevator in NYC in the pouring rain - they’re amazing!) I would recommend this company to anyone who wants an effortless, fantastic moving experience!
