Express Moving and Storage

It went very well. We were very concerned about the china cabinet, but they were extremely careful - removing the beveled glass and wrapping it separately, as well as a shelf with attached lighting, then put cardboard over the blanket on the base and labeled it to protect wooden handles. They were efficient, friendly and very careful. I plan to use them again when we sell the house and move the rest of our belongings. We scheduled our move after another one to avoid minimum charges. the first move took longer than they had expected, so they arrived a little after the window we were originally given. However, they had called well within that window to say they were running late so it really wasn't a problem.

Movers were great. Showed up on time. Very professional, and extremely hard working. Moved us for almost 12 hours, and had to do two trips. Got everything out of the old house, and into the new. No problem.

They took great care of all our items and put down runners on the floor to protect them. They were even early! They were polite and professional! I must have changed the box count and what we were moving 20 times and Robin was patient and accomadating with all of it. Highly recommend them

I found myself moving at apparently a very popular time, and was distraught when both companies I'd been referred to were already booked. I found Express Moving & Storage via online search and gave them a call. I'm so glad I did! Everything went just as it should, and when our closing was delayed (twice!) and I had to bump back our final move-in date, they were completely understanding and accommodating. After a few months in storage, I was so happy to see my belongings in great shape. Overall, it's a group of professional, friendly, capable, and helpful people. I'd use them again.

It was as excellent as a family move can be. Express Moving is an excellent moving company and I highly recommend them! We contacted Express Moving only few weeks before our scheduled move at the height of the season (end of June). Within a couple of days of that first contact, Robin and Cesar scheduled and personally came to do an estimate at our home. They were very personable and asked smart questions. Within a couple of days we received a "not to exceed" quote by email. We accepted several days later and the schedule was quickly confirmed. (Phew! I was worried that by sitting on the estimate I was losing our chance to schedule the move before the end of our rent back period - but there was no need to fret.) The crew of 2 packers arrived at the appointed time on Sunday and methodically & efficiently packed our house room by room. They were friendly, conscientious and respectful of our home and belongings. The packing took longer than estimated but the guys did just kept working smoothly (with appropriate breaks) until they were done. The next morning the crew of 3 movers arrived promptly and started loading us up. Our houses (old and new) have tight stairways and there were several pieces of furniture that had to be disassembled and reassembled; so moving us out and unloading the truck took longer than anticipated and the crew still had to make a separate trip to pick up our packed storage unit. Despite a few wrinkles and stresses along the way the crew remained gracious and professional. Throughout the day Robin kept in touch with his crew and with us to make sure everything was on track. The movers finished around midnight ... but they got it done! For the quoted price. With no reportable damage* to our furnishings or either house. (I write not reportable because while we did have a scrape with a crazy staircase and a chest that was too wide to make it, it was not the movers' fault. The guys gave it the old college try at my direction and I acknowledged the risk of damage to the wall and the dresser. And why yes, I am a lawyer.) In a courteous and professional manner. And I write this at the halfway point of unpacking, and I am pleased to report that the vast majority of boxes were all put in the rooms where they belong, and they were packed in a way that made sense. And Robin wrote a thank you e-mail after the job was done. No move is going to be a flawless or painless experience - but Express Movers brought us as close as possible! We highly, highly recommend!

I heard very scary things about scammy movers holding people's belongings hostage. I went with Express Moving & Storage because they provided me with a competitive, not-to-exceed estimate for the specific items of furniture that I wanted moved. Robin was a pleasure to work with and we were easily able to schedule our move for our desired date. On moving day, the Express movers showed up to our house five minutes early and ready to go. Despite the extreme heat the team worked quickly and efficiently, and all three gentlemen were friendly and professional. Our belongings and home were treated with care. The final bill was slightly lower than the estimate.

Express Moving and Storage was very responsive in providing us with a quote and answering questions about the quote. They sent three guys and an appropriate sized truck for the job. They arrived on time and were very professional throughout the process. They would point out existing dings on furniture, asked questions if they had any doubt on something, and apologized if they had to take a call regarding another job. They worked hard (in the rain) and were careful with our belongings. They also helped set up the furniture at the new house. We would definitely use them again.

Could not have been better! The men arrived on time, wrapped all the furniture, mirrors and large pictures in heavy quilts and wrapped them. Individually, with tape. They were polite, competent and professional. Upon arriving at the destination all was placed where I wanted it placed and the bed set up. The furniture was unwrapped and the tape taken away. Not a scratch or dent anywhere. Very efficient and I could not have been more delighted! Obviously, I would recommend them highly!

Robin communicated effectively during the entire process, provided a personal cell number to provide an added comfort level and made sure each team member stayed in contact on their arrival time. The service delivered was efficient and effective. All the staff handled the move carefully and the move out cleaning team put the apartment in pristine condition. The pricing was competitive and the final bill was lower than the estimate. Because I had to arrange the DC move for my niece from Orlando, the good work from Robin and his team was especially valuable. I feel fortunate that I selected them from Angie's List.

service was great, clean, got everything we asked for out. guys were friendly. add on prices not excellent hence the B but as long as you go in knowing that they got the job done well.

The team was collegial and very productive and efficient. They arrived 15 minutes early and their expertise became readily apparent. Because they were so quick we started to add things to the move but they were completely unfazed. They finished with 15 minutes to spare under the three-hour cutoff. They also kindly removed for us from the new apartment some of the cardboard boxes that had held the parts of the new bed and chest of drawers, which saved us a considerable hassle. We were very pleased with the move in general.

The devil is in the details. Have them come by and give you a quote and be specific of what you want them to move or not move. Also, be available during the move to provide guidance or clearly outline the move details.

They also set my furniture up in the quickest time I've ever seen once we arrived at the new place. I would highly recommend them, especially if you're moving from one county to the other.

Great; we are glad we used Express movers to do the job. The whole experience was worth every cent. They came as scheduled; wrapped and handled our items with care; had a professional, helpful crew; and delivered and placed all items in their designated rooms.

Robin ( the owner) came out to give me an estimate. He was friendly, detail-oriented and flexible regarding dates and other details. Andre and his moving crew showed up on move day 10 min early and were very professional and efficient. They packed our household effects carefully and protected the floors in both, move out and move in locations. The move was completed in a reasonable amount of time and pricing was fair. Highly recommended, I would definitely used them again.

They sent a follow-up email advising that there were a bunch of additional costs. That's bad business. They should have let it be known up front what all additional costs were required for the service.

Start to finish these guys were fantastic. I was a little worried the morning of our move when Robin called to let me know that one of his guys had called in sick and he could only send three, but these guys made up for the difference. The move was done far more quickly than I expected and not a single item was damaged. They even managed to get our giant Restoration Hardware Armoire up a tight staircase without a scratch on the wall. The price was also unbeatable. Great job!

Arrived on time with truck capable of handling load, which included several stacks of tree branches, several large wood panels, lawn chairs, and large bags of leaves. Removed materials quickly and neatly, and were very courteous/responsive.

The crew showed up at both locations on time. The men were professional, friendly and efficient. The company specializes in moving antiques so all of our belongings were handled and packed gently. Upon arrival in WV, our belongings were placed where where we asked and our beds were assembled. We needed them that evening, for sure. Everything went well. I tipped the men who moved us, we had quite a few very heavy pieces of furniture (250 lbs+). I would definitely use them again and I recommend them. They were affordable and superior in service.

We used Quinn's Auction for selling some of our antique furniture, and were so pleased with the work done by their movers that we inquired about how to hire them outside of Quinn's and we were referred to Robin B to schedule a local move. Robin was prompt and responsive when helping us schedule this move. He was able to do the move within 4 days if scheduling. His team was thorough, pleasant, and hard working. They moved some very heavy and difficult pieces of furniture, including one piece that barely fit up the stairs in our 1890 farmhouse, but they did it!!! We plan on using them again soon. Jaime the team lead was great too.

Their guys work worked really hard and were pleasant & professional throughout. There were a couple of minor logistical glitches, but those were at least partly our fault. If you want a small firm with a personal touch, these guys are for you.

The experience started out very positively once I made a phone inquiry to Express Moving &Storage. Robin Boldt get back to me immediately and worked with me to put together a careful estimate. Once approved, he scheduled my move. On moving day, the movers, Douglas, Andre and Elvin arrived at my home 10 minutes early. They were very friendly and careful with my items. They utilized shrink wrap, packing tape, and moving blankets that I supplied to carefully wrap all my furniture into the truck. The nicest surprise it was when I arrived at my new location in Stafford, the truck was packed great, and I experienced no damage or loss. I would give them a thumbs up and I would very happily recommend them to others who are looking for a professional careful mover.

It began with a call to the company to set up the move. I left a message and Robin Boldt called me back within the hour. The movers arrived on time. They were friendly, effective, and efficient. I had total confidence in them (with the prior movers I was cringing and asking them to please be careful). They handled everything with care. When they entered the house they put down a padding over the wood floor. They then entered each room and carefully wrapped each piece of funiture with care. They made sure the secure any moving parts, had baggies for bookshelve holders, and treated everything with great care. The did things right. I was so pleased with the work they did. We bought them lunch yet they did not want to take much of a break, they took about five minutes to eat and went right back to work. They were pleasant, kind, and very easy to be around. When they moved the furniture into our new home with wood floors, at my request they put felt on the bottom of all the furniture and there was not a scratch on the floor. At the end of the day I had a large wardrobe I wanted to deliver to my sister. They were willing to do that and I was glad to have it out of our home. I can't say enough about how great this company is. I have several friends who are planning to move soon and have passed along the name of this company. The reviews I read talked about how the owners got thier start moving antiques and took great care with all they did. The excellent reviews made me choose them, the great customer service, care and attention to our furniture and belongings have made me a forever customer. I could see using them even for a few hours if we needed to move furniture in our home.
