Description of Work: Completely restored fried Dell XPS desktop computer, which seemed to me to have been damaged by repeated on/off power problem during a wind storm, but which Ryan seemed to attribute to some sort of infection that dodged my Norton 360 and totally messed up my old drive. Required a whole new drive, transfer of programs from my old drive, a new Windows 7 and Microsoft Office installation (2007 version received), and, by these means, resolution of terrible slowness and non-functionality of my old drive. It now works better than I ever remember it doing before. Ryan picked up the damaged box on 4/9 promptly after my initial contact through email, repaired it (a process that took several days), returned and helped reconnect it after repair (returning as well the old damaged drive with everything still in it), and tested the repaired system to be sure it was working properly. He is personable, professional, prompt, communicative, and amazingly affordable. I cannot recommend him highly enough..

Description of Work: I have used Ryan's services on several occasions. He has setup a new computer, transferred files from an old system, setup new software, and debugged a problem laptop. Very knowledgeable, willing to teach, very cooperative, and punctual.

Description of Work: While he was quick in getting here and most polite, he did not have the expertise to diagnose or fix my computer. I was told by Best Buy that I had viruses, and I wanted a local, professional to handle it. He said, "No!" I didn't have viruses, after only applying Malwarebytes, a very lo-tech anti-virus software, that I needed more memory. He charged me for a "diagnostic" only, and I got new memory that afternoon, but ... alas, didn't do a thing. I took it to a professional computer person, and they said, "Yes! you have viruses -- 85 of them -- and they're in your registry and Malwarebytes could NEVER get those out.!" I asked him to return my $$ since he didn't, indeed, diagnose and the charge was a "diagnostic" charge, but he never responded. My check has been cashed. Oh, and my computer is now fixed and minus viruses. UPDATE: I received a check (no note, just the check) in the amount of $50 today from Mr. Ryan. Thank you! I appreciate your honesty and character. Description of Work: My e-mail on AOL (at the home office computer) was running super slow. Ryan came out and cleaned things up on my computer. I can now work more at home instead of having to go to the office all the time. He also checked my office computer and determined it was not my hardware but the company's wireless connectivity that was the issue.

Description of Work: My computer was zapped by an electrical storm and Ryan - at no extra charge - came on a Sunday afternoon and diagnosed a bad power supply. the two he had did not quite fit but he figured out how to make one work. he has ordered the correct unit and will install it later. the internal Internet connection was also zapped so he figured out how to bypass it with an external board that he had. then he straightened out my wi-fi system which has never been right. I was amazed at his technical skill but not as amazed as I was with his bill. it was about half of what I expected for the time and work he put in. this is my computer tech from now on.

Description of Work: Ryan arrived promptly on our agreed upon time. He is pleasant and extremely professional and his greatest quality is, his is pet friendly. Before any work was done he had a treat for my little one and I think he has a friend for life. As for my computer problem, he was very knowledgable (since I am technically challanged) he explained everything he was doing as he went along. He explained and showed me where the problems were, explained the definicenies and made the repairs. He made simple suggestion on upgrades which would help me in the future. He also talked me out of spending an unnecessary amount of money based on the equipment I had, and my use. How many people do that. I will definately use him again, and highly recommend him.

Description of Work: My email began bouncing back and I called Ryan for help. He came out the next day and fixed it, charging me a very reasonable $25. Knowing I have dogs, he thoughtfully brought them greenies!
