The fixture and valve we already had on hand turned out to be the wrong size and could not be installed. Caffi had to do the work twice because of my mistake and use a different valve and fixture. They did not charge me full price for the double work. We've used Caffi for 8 years. They're our go-to plumber for all repairs -- always prompt, professional and reasonable.

Plumber came on time. It took him 5 minutes to fix problem. I asked him a few questions about other stuff. He was helpful there. But the real problem was the sink and he didn't figure it out. He didn't and quot;diagnoseand quot; the drain which he should have checked. Not at all. I had a feeling that he wasn't very good. Just as I said above, I will never call this company again.

Our basement flooded during Tropical Storm Lee on September 8. We were fortunate not to have to replace our furnace but the county insisted we replace our water heater before we could turn the gas back on. We were also lucky that the water had receded by the morning of September 9 and we could actually access our basement right away. We had Caffi's information handy because they had remodeled our kitchen for us with extensive plumbing work last Spring-- we had been very happy with their work then so I didn't hesitate to call them the morning after the flood for the water heater replacement. They sent out Mike Meese the next day-- Saturday morning-- to replace our water heater. He had to replace some additional pipes to bring it up to code and because our old exhaust pipes were rusting through and basically were leaking CO into our house. It took Mike 6 hours to do the replacement. He was working in a smelly basement because we hadn't been able to clean it out yet. The electricity didn't get turned back on until Mike was about 3/4 of the way through his job, so he was working in the dark with a flashlight. Our neighborhood was declared a disaster area by the County and the State and was a complete mess. When Mike left to get a part, he ended up stuck in traffic behind a garbage truck for over an hour. Despite these conditions, Mike finished the job and did it well. He was kind, courteous, and helped us out immensly on one of the most difficult days of our lives. We were THE FIRST people on our street to get our gas turned back on and be able to get the ok from the county to get back in our house. Mike dealt with the inspectors for us (they were walking around the neighborhood to be able to inspect for structural damage and to be able to pull and close-out permits on site) and advised us about the permitting, etc. Given that this was an emergency, Mike came out with one day's notice on a Saturday, and it took him six hours working in the dark, I think the price of $1700 was fair. I was quoted $1100 on the phone, but they didn't know it was going to take so long or that they would need to replace the pipes or the exhaust vent in addition to the heater itself. And the thing heats my water up hotter and faster than the unit they replaced (which was only 5 years old)-- I've had to turn the temperature setting down very low on it. In addition to this water heater replacement, Joe Starkey came out and did an estimate for us to replace the basement windows and the drywall. He came out also on short notice before our insurance adjuster came so that we would have a baseline to negotiate. He has since also come out to prepare other estimates for us so we can budget and prioritize all of the rebuilding we now have to do. Joe is always professional, punctual, and thorough. We couldn't ask for more. Thank you Caffi!

Caffi helped us remodel our outdated and nonfunctional kitchen in a house we bought on short sale in 2009. It had been neglected by previous owners and when my husband went to take down the old wall cabinets, the whole wall-- drywall and all-- came crashing down. We had to strip the walls down to concrete block and studs and start over. Caffi was great. Everyone we have worked with was professional, kind, courteous, punctual, and reliable. We had a VERY limited budget for the project and Caffi was willing to let us to a significant portion of the work ourselves. They set up a temporary kitchen for us in the dining room-- there was only one day in this whole process that I did not have water, and my gas stove was functional at all times. This was a huge help given that my daughter was only 18 months old while this was being done, and it saved us a ton of money on eating out because we were always able to cook and wash dishes. Caffi moved all of our plumbing lines (water and gas), subcontracted out to an electrician who brought our electrical up to code, and relocated our back door (involving window and door installation and bricklaying/mortar work). They supplied us with high-quality products (a casement window and exterior fiberglass door). We bought our cabinets, countertop, and appliances separately. Caffi installed our cabinets and appliances for us, and coordinating with the countertop people was not a problem at all. We also met with their recommended suppliers for cabinets and counters but found better prices with another supplier-- and they had no problem with that at all. We did the flooring, drywall, and trim. Caffi's subcontracted electrician installed our lighting. The guys kept tabs on our work and gave us a few helpful pointers along the way (we aren't complete novices-- my husband worked in construction for 15 years), and they even voted on the paint color! All of their workers were friendly and respectful. This was a big, unpleasant job but Caffi made it a little bit easier for us. They have our loyalty and we have already used them again for plumbing.

It was a positive experience with them. We were very happy with the quality of the work they did. If there was anything wrong they would come back and fix it.

They were very educated in finding where the leak came from. They were reliable and did a great job.

They are okay. I wouldn't say that the company is outstanding but they have good plumbers. I would use them in the future.

They haven't done the work yet but they were very reasonable and they have been extremely responsive. We are really impressed. We have some other friends who know them and we heard nothing from good compliments on them. They are primarily a plumbing company and I was more concerned about the plumbing than the other part. They were very cooperative about making some changes and they have kept me up to date. We are very pleased with them. The estimate was very professional. They gave us a complete estimate in detail. The broke everything down and gave us the details. We could see where the money was going. They are quick to respond and they follow up on a regular basis. I would certainly use them for any job of major renovation but they are about 30 miles from me so I wouldn't use them for small plumbing jobs.

Their pricing was outrageous!! On top of that they didn't diagnose and solve the problem. Since the problem was not fixed the next day we came home to a house that had several leaks. We called them to come back and fix their error they wanted more money!

Job was done very well only two minor problems. One resulted in small amount of water leaking from condensate drain, but was repaired immediately once I noticed it. Otherwise they did a good job.

I spent around $500 on that work. They were fine. Their work was good.

I received several quotes to replace the ancient hot water heater in my house and Caffi was competitive but not the least expensive option. Strong Angie list reviews swayed my decision. I received a new 50 gallon lowboy AO Smith model for approximately $1130. During the course of work a leaky valve was replaced and a small electrical box was added, increasing the total price slightly. The contractor (Mike) arrived promptly and measured my space to determine which models would work and then provided me with a couple options. I elected to have the system replaced the same day and an assistant delivered the new model and assisted in removing the old one. They were careful moving the cumbersome water heaters through my house and cleaned up everything, including stray marks on my storm door. I would not hesitate to use the contractor again for my plumbing needs.

They got back to me within 2 days of my call and came as scheduled for the quote process. I was very impressed with them and will surely contact them in future.

They were very pleasant to work with. We didn't end up hiring them, but we liked them. It was an issue of pricing and there weren't that many reviews so it was hard to feel confident.

The receptionist who answered the phone was extremely pleasant and helpful and even had a plumber come to the phone to answer a specific question for me. I scheduled an appointment and the plumber arrived on time and was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He talked to me throughout the inspection process and let me know what would be done and how he would do it. He presented me with a written estimate on the spot. I have not had the work done yes but will definitely call them in the future.

They were excellent. The price was reasonable and I usually do a good bit of shopping beforehand. They did the job at the right time at a fair amount and there were no hidden charges.

We requested a free estimate and met with Joe Starkey, who was very helpful in discussing our plans for our bathrooms and responsive when we e-mailed him questions. The estimate seemed appropriate for the work that was being performed. Although we didn't pick them for our project (so I didn't provide a Quality rating above because no work was done), Caffi was our second choice and we would consider them again for future plumbing projects.

They were exceptionally good. They worked with us. It was easy to work with them. They were very conscientious and thorough. They did an excellent work. They were not the cheapest guys in town but on the other hand they are worth every penny.

Caffi was terrific. They were there every day, always kept us informed about progress and got the work done in a reasonable amount of time. This remodel was quite disruptive to our lives for a few weeks and Caffi did everything they could to minimize the disruption. For instance, there was no day that we were left without water overnight. Highly recommended.

Technician (although that's an overstatement of his skills) James T. (code 1JDT) arrived around 8 a.m. He took voltage readings at the aquastat and found 110v in and no voltage coming out. He concluded that the aquastat needed to be replaced. Since he did not have one on hand, he ordered one and had it delivered which took about 30 minutes. He also fiddled with a few cables, since after replacing the aquastat, the boiler still did not work. For most of the time, James T. was on the phone with the Caffi master electrician. Eventually the master electrician arrived and found that the original aquastat was fine--apparently James T. was sick the day they taught how to use a voltage meter in electrician school. After about a total of four hours, the remedy to the problem was simple: hit a reset switch. Still, James T. wrote up a bill for $313.00 labor and $245.00 parts (aquastat), totaling $558.00. After inquiring as to why hitting the reset switch wasn't the first thing he checked, James T. became enraged, shouting "I'm not perfect!" This degree of unprofessionalism and incompetency should not be tolerated by anyone. We refused to pay the bill on the spot. We will agree to pay for nothing more than one hour of labor but only after getting a personal apology from Mr. Ron Caffi himself.

We've used Caffi for years and always been satisfied. The last three service calls were done by James Teasly. He's great -- competent and friendly. We've started asking for him by name.

He did a very good job and cleaned up well. He also gave me a senior citizen discount!

Everything was great. They showed up on time in the morning and were done ahead of schedule.

The workers are professional and always on time. The quality of their work is pretty good. Basically, they fix what they come to fix. They finished a bathroom remodel today, and it took them 10 days. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future.
