Dan was very intelligent and personable. He came out to see what we had to have done and then handled all the rest. The only issue was he is so good, it took us a little while to get things scheduled.

Dan showed up promptly, had necessary parts in his truck and completed the work sooner than I expected. All shutters were reattached and have withstood several severe storms. I will absolutely hire Dan for the next repair I need.

Fantastic. Very pleased. This work was done in preparation for getting my house ready to sell. I had used Dan once before for a smaller job, and had been very pleased, so I decided to give him a call. I initially contacted him just for the flooring work because I had not decided how much painting to do, and his quote on that was very reasonable. I got one other quote, and the other contractor really could not compete either on price or on my desired schedule. This particular time of year seemed to be very busy for most contractors. The best thing about Dan is that he was sensitive to my timing needs and was willing to work me into his schedule to accommodate me getting my house ready to be listed. When Dan's crew arrived to start the flooring work, I had figured out I needed to do the painting and front door work, and Dan was again able to accommodate me with reasonable prices and an ability to work me into his schedule. His initial estimate for the painting was based on an hourly rate for 2 painters. As the job progressed, it was clear the full job was going to take some extra time so Dan arranged to have 2 additional painters come out for a day. This did raise the initial estimate of the painting work, but Dan called me before and let me know. All of the work finished on time and looks great. I would highly recommend Dan and his crew for your general handyman needs if you're looking for someone who has reasonable prices, will be very responsive to your needs, and do a great job.

Contractor came for walk thru and I asked for a written proposal. Previous review said he did not follow up but after I called I was told to check Spam and the proposal was there. We have agreed to proceed with this review and a appt to be scheduled in Dec 4th time frame. Waiting to here back for scheduling.

After doing some research on Angieslist, I called Dan the Man to disconnect both a gas line to the kitchen range as well as a water line to the fridge before some upcoming floor renovation in our kitchen. We agreed to $170 to do both the disconnect, and subsequent reconnect, post renovation. Dan arrived on time and got to work trying to disconnect our water line. It turns out there was a valve at the waterline which was not functioning (not his fault). Dan stated that he did not have time to replace the valve that evening, but could come back in a few weeks to take care of that. This meant that the fridge could not be moved out of the kitchen for the upcoming floor work, but we worked around that. Next, Dan disconnected the gas line for the range and told me that he thought I could perform the reconnect after the floor work was done since it was a relatively easy job. I let him know that I was not quite comfortable with that and he said that was OK and that he could come back when I needed him to reconnect. He collected $150 dollars despite only being there for 1 hour and not doing anything with the water line. I didn’t protest as he showed up on schedule and did what he could. About 10 days later, the floor work got completed and Dan came back to do the reconnect of the gas range. After he did this, he pushed the range back, but it was being blocked and not able to go back all the way to the wall. He left and let my wife know that I could call a friend over to help push the range back into place. I called a friend and we were not able to push range back. After pulling it out, we discovered that the gas line was twisted as a result of the reconnect and was not able to be folded back enough to get the range close to the wall. I texted Dan about this as I needed him to disconnect the line and untangle it. He wrote back that it was the power supply that was blocking and not the gas line. I checked again and let him know that was not the case and that I needed him to come back and fix it. He said OK. After several attempts to call and text Dan over the next several days, he stopped responding altogether. I finally tried to contact him one last time asking him if he was coming or not, and he ignored that as well. The reason that I’m writing this review is because this shows a lack of integrity. To not complete a job that you committed to, no matter how small, is very frustrating. I have two small kids at home and I didn’t feel comfortable connecting a gas line myself, so I paid an expert to do it. He did the work in a shoddy way, and altogether washed his hands of the situation. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. Dan is rated very highly on Angieslist and this is the reason I chose him. This was not a big job, but crucial for me and my family to have a functional kitchen. I will not hire Dan again, nor will I recommend him to anyone. I have quite a bit of additional work to have done at my home and I will choose a more reliable, dependable person to do this for me. I paid for this work to be done upfront, and I expected Dan to hold up his end of the bargain. He failed to do so, and so I am writing this to warn others about his practices. In order to get this resolved, I called Washington Gas, and they came over promptly, confirmed the issue, and fixed it with no issues, and at no cost.

Great! I reviewed a lot of online sources to find someone to clean and stain my deck late in the season. I found Dan on Angie's List and liked the reviews plus his location of service. Dan did a fantastic job. He was very professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and responsive and his work was reasonably priced. He made adjustments in his schedule to fit my job in before the weather was not feasible for outdoor painting. He did a very good job first time round and when I questioned the color of stain used when he was done, he didn't hesitate to do the right thing and he came back and re-stain the deck again in the color which I thought we agreed to! That was after I paid him, which shows his true character and dedication to customer service. He provided sound advice and recommendations on other of home repair issues we discussed so I'll be using him for other project need in the future. I highly recommend Dan for any home projects in his specialty area that you need.

It went great with the dry wall install and Dan was very knowledgable.

Dan and his crew of two showed up on time and they went right to work. They covered completely the work area, scrapped off the sagging wallboard tape, screwed in the metal cap, taped over and applied joint compound. They dried the first coat then applied a second coat, smoothed it all out, and did an excellent clean up job. The workmanship was excellent and professionally accomplish. I was totally satisfied in the entire process and would hire the company for further work. Dan offered a lot of advice about painting the interior and I asked for an estimate to repair the wallboard and paint the townhouse. Dan's company is reliable, professional, communicates well with the customer, and provides quality work at a fair and reasonable price.

There has been no response to my email through Angie's List or to my voice mail after nine days, as of today.

Perfect. Dan the handyman sent out a worker to do the job early in the morning so I could manage to get the guys back in to finish the carpet installation.

They were excellent, very efficient and from the time they came in, set up, completed all the work we asked was within three hours. They were very clean! I would highly recommend them and have called them back twice already!

Dan was very punctual and did the work quickly and efficiently. He and his crew were polite and cleaned up after the work was finished. I appreciate that he was able to get the work done in time for a dinner I was hosting later in the week.

Smoothly. Dan was early and he explained to me exactly what he was going to do and how long it was going to take to complete the repair. Because of the small size of my job, the price covered the cost of materials. That was great because when I was shopping around for a handyman, another company told me I'd have to pay for everything - sheet rock, tape, nails, plaster, etc. Dan prepped the work area by covering stuff stored in the garage and taped it down. When he finished, he left the area clean. I found Dan very professional and friendly. I would definitely call Dan again!

Great job. I could not be more happy. After getting a quote from another handyman service that I thought was way too high, I found Dan on Angie's List and decided to give him a call. Dan was able to give me a very reasonable estimate over the phone for the job, and it was easy to schedule a convenient time with him. Dan arrived to do the job on time and everything went incredibly smooth and easy. I may have just found a new handyman for the various jobs I need done around the house from time to time.

Dan is so easy to work with and really did an excellent job on my bath. He suggested the ceramic floor tile, ventilation fan, and granite sink which was so helpful. His workmanship is excellent and I would most definitely use him again. I've recommended him to a few of my neighbors.
