Description of Work: A-1 was very responsive. However, we discovered the problem was a bent laser unit that was reacting to the heavy wind on the garage door before their service man arrived. The wind caused the unit go on and off. A-1 refunded my prepayment.

Description of Work: I had a problem with a spring on my garage door. I got a few quotes but ultimately decided to go with A-1.They were able to schedule me quickly, and fix the garage door for 75% less than the other quotes I received. The repairman they sent over was friendly. Now you can barely hear the garage door open. These guys did an awesome job! The only problem I had was that they didn't take credit card, but that's not enough of a problem for me to not give them an A.

Description of Work: Extremely responsive and courteous company. I called on a Saturday morning because we had a bit of an "emergency" with our very old garage door. Door had come partly off the tracks and was hanging lopsided and 1/2 closed. Also, a window pane in the door had cracked badly in this mishap. Charles was at the house within a couple of hours offering to give me an estimate (we knew we wanted a new door) and to see if he could get the door down so it wouldn't precariously hang open until new door installation the following Wednesday. Not only did he get it down, he got the door working again which we didn't think was possible. At my request, he also provided the literature I needed about a new door, I picked my style/brand and received an estimate on the spot. Having called around all morning, I new the price was at least comparable if not excellent compared to others. Charles took my order, charged me ZERO for Saturday's repair and was back EARLY on Wednesday to install. We LOVE our new door - both its function and style! Charles was a soft-spoken, kind and gracious man. A lovely lady who answers A1's phones was also just lovely on the phone with my initial inquiry and followed up after the install. For a surprise expense, they made the whole thing painless and I felt great about using them.

Description of Work: Replaced orginal wood garage door on my 23 year old house. Very responsive to my request for estimate. Arrived for the estimate as scheduled, reviewed work to be done and answered all my questions. I had five estimates done and they were the least expensive although 3 of the 5 estimates were very similar. After I selected them we were able to quickly establish a date for installation. Charles, who both estimated and installed came early in the 2 hour window we had agreed upon. He was very professional and did an excellent job installing the door and explaining its workings. In cleaning up after the work he even swept my entire garage of leaves and other debris. The door is beautiful and works just as it should. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to replace a garage door.
