Our septic level alarm went off late Friday afternoon. I called Stewarts since they had pumped the tank in February 2010. Unfortunately, I got their recording which indicated that their office hours were from 7-5, M-F and I was calling around 6pm. I decided to leave a message and figured that I would hear from them on Monday. Lo and behold, Nancy called me back in less than 10 minutes after I left my message. She walked me through some steps to see if we could get the alarm to go off by itself, reset fuses, etc. Nothing seemed to work, so she advised that we should use the minimum amount of water over the weekend and she would have someone come out on Monday. On Monday, they called us to let us know that someone would be coming to pump the tank since they didn't have anyone available to come do any repairs or replacements for the pumps or fuses or whatever was wrong. This would allow us to use water more normally until Tuesday. The technician arrived Monday morning, around 10-ish. I showed him the fuse boxes and everything. He recommended that we could go ahead and turn everything off until the technicians arrive on Tuesday and proceeded to pump the tank--he also indicated that the level was and quot;normal.and quot; Stewarts arrived Tuesday morning, around 10am, and ran their tests, etc. They were able to confirm that the pumps were pumping and things appear to be working normally and the alarm is no longer being triggered. Possibly just needed some kind of reset on the fuses. Since our pumps are 13 years old and the average lifespan of a pump is about 7-8 years, they offered to send us a quote for replacement which I gladly accepted. No hard sell, no push. I asked about payment, and the technician asked if I had paid for the pumping yesterday. I replied that I hadn't. So, he said that they would probably just send me an invoice for the pumping and no charge for today's visit since it resulted in mostly giving us peace of mind that everything was working as it should. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I'm only sorry that I can't give them a grade any higher than and quot;Aand quot;.

Stewart was able to FIX one pump, and the estimated cost of work was $4,000 less then the first contractor. A MAJOR relief to work with Stewart again, a small. family owned business that I can trust and rely on. Would NEVER call anyone else again!!!

Came for a 4 minute service call on Friday. Charge for it was $150 Said we would have to wait until Monday for quote on new pumps. Couldnt even give us a ballpark figure. We had to follow up for quote. Didnt get one and called multiple times. Had to go with another company. They got $6,000 of business from us because we needed it done ASAP. Had Stewarts been more communicative they wouldve had our business.

They were very punctual and pleasant. They did a good job and restored the land the best they could.

sheWhen I called I was greeted very nicely by Nancy. I explained the problem and she was knowledgeable to understand the issue and know what the company had to do. She explained the cost and even gave me the contact information for Fairfax County's septic unit to get a map of my septic system. It was all great until this exact point. I called in to schedule an appointment and Nancy told me she would call me back. A week passed by and I decided to call again; Once again I was told that needed to confirm with the crew to see when they would be around my home and that she would call me back. Another week or 2 passed and no call. I finally decided to call one last time given that they had done the work at my place and covered the flow divert valve that should not have been covered. I was told once again that I would get a call back, but I have not. By now, I have called another company to do the work!

Mr. Stewart arrived at scheduled time and performed all services requested in efficient, professional manner.

Arrived on time and went strait to work. Left the site as he found it. Will use their service again.

After they cancelled, I called their office three times. Each time someone said they will check into the matter and call me back. I never heard back from these people. Went with Loudoun Septic and had an amazing experience.

Recieved a Call from my Realtor that the septic inspection had found that my distrubusion box was cracked and unlevel. So I went to my home at the time to go look at it and could not locate any cracks in the box, I also noticed that the water in the box was completley level in the box. I immediatly got on the phone and called Stuarts and spoke to the and quot;fatherand quot; and explained to him I could not find any cracks and that the box was level. He then explained to me his son did the inspection and that his son is not a liar. I never accusing him of being one. So he tells me he can come out within 2 hours. I wait for him to show thinking he would see that obviously his son had made a mistake. At this time I have my wife and four young sons with me. He pulls up in his truck, I greet him and walk him back to the disrubusion box. He then begins looing at it, scrapes it with his knife, and cannot locate a crack. I am at this time telling him I understand mistakes can happen and that I appriciate him coming out, He then says well lets check the level, he goes and grabs a bucket fills it with water and dumps it in the tank. The water flows perfectly out of all the lines and then when there is barley any water left in the tank it goes in 1 line just a tad more than the others. He then says it is unlevel and can not pass it. My wife and I are flabergasted and could not believe it. I had another contractor there at the time working on the deck and says the guy is crazy. I then say are you serious? I told him I will have to call the Health Department and he immidiatley gets upset, I explain to him everything in his report was false, he tried to have us replace the box for $1500, and that he admitted that there is no crack in the box. He then threatend to put a crack in it. At that time I was through with him and told him I would just call the health dept. He offered to give me there number and I said thanks. He then says and quot;just call another company I am sure they will pass itand quot; and I said I am not going to spend another $400 on an inspection when I paid him to do it. He then said, dont pay me I dont want your money. I said I dont have to pay you? he said no and I said thanks. I immediatly called Butler and Eichert and they came out and inspected it and passed it with no problems. Said the Distrubusion Box was in fine condition and no need to replace. Watch out for these people. I see the good reviews, but if you are selling your home, or if the house is empty, they may just think they can get away condemning things that dont need replaced.

On time. Easy to reach and schedule. Polite. Friendly. The guy was really interested in doing a quality job.

The price was very reasonable. Everything was perfect. On time, professional, and good work. They were here and got it done. V nice people. He is excellent.

They are prompt; showed up on time. However requested pump out and service on alternative system. Appeared unaware that a pump out requested. Worked on system and said they would return the next day to complete the service and perform the pump out. Never heard from them again. Called the office a week later and they were on vacation; would call when they returned. Had to engage another contractor. No charge so no harm or foul. Just wasted some time..

They did a really good job. They did a good job with locating the tank compared to another provider I used. We were very happy with their service and they did what they were supposed to do.

I'd definitely recommend Stewart's Septic Service to anyone needing repairs as well as basic pump out services.

It took a few phone calls to finally settle on a date to have the work done. We had to coordinate having the new tank lid dropped off on the same day I was having the tank pumped as there were two different crews involved. The first crew arrived at the time promised, carefully transported the new concrete lid into the back yard, removed the old lid and replaced it with the new one. I then mentioned a problem I was having with the control box staying closed, and they fixed it for me. The pump truck arrived a short time later. The technician was very professional. After cleaning the septic[ tank and removing his equipment, he put all the mulch which was surrounding the septic tank back into place. He also fixed a problem with the mechanism that turns the septic field. This was the first time that I was present while the tank was being cleaned, so I had several questions, and he answered them all. My neighbor had recommended Stewart's Septic Service to me, and I would definitely recommend them to others.

Called company to set up appointment to pump out the septic tank. Scheduler was very pleasant and helpful. She provided the next available date that the service could be performed and also the cost. On the selected date the worker arrived on time, completed the work and replaced the soil and grass around the tank. A neat and clean job. I will use this company again.

We called a few companies and although Stewart's price wasn't the most advantageous, we were impressed by their responses to our questions on the telephone and her confidence and awareness of the operational matters of her business. (I think she is the owner's wife? Thanks for your patience.) When the time came, the matter-of-fact gentleman wasted no time to attach many pipes to connect my septic tank's opening to his truck. About an hour (maybe less) later, he was done. Easy job! (For me, at least.)

The electric box with the pump controls has never been right (blown fuses every few months). It got to the point where we had to manually turn on the pumps when the alarm went off. Great Falls Septic came out and wanted $2000 to run some new wire from the box to the tanks. We called a family friend electrician - he said the wires were all fine that it was probably the floater. Call Stewarts (had to call the alternate # - they've been having problems with Verizon). Austin Stewart and his buddy showed up. They were very friendly and professional. Checked everything - he even climbed down into the tank to check everything inside. Turns out we had a bad check valve that caused the other problem (incorrectly wired floats) to be more noticeable. Austin rewired what need to be rewired (both at the box and at the tank). He will be back to replace the valve, and said he would put the service call charge towards that work. Would definitely call these guys in the future.

They came when they said they would and were neat and professional. We would definitely use them again.

Called and set up an appointment to pump out my septic tank. They arrived an hour earlier than expected and nobody was home so I had to get someone right away to help them while I was busy in a meeting. Once my son arrived they tried to pump the tank but the distance and grade between the tank and my driveway evidently didn't work with the equipment they had. They were supposed to call me back and reschedule for different equipment to finish the job but never did. I called them three times. The only thing they did right was not to charge me for the service

Stewarts responded quickly to my emergency call involving an overflow of the septic holding tank. Upon arrival the next day, Austin Stewart immediately diagnosed the problem to be a ruptured pump, and advised me on the proper replacement model. As the two pumps were over 15 years old, I inquired as to the advisabiltity of replacing both pumps. Austin agreed, given that the pumps were approaching normal usage limits, and replacing both now would save on a separate installation cost in the near future. I also asked them to perform the periodic tank cleaning, and authorized the replacement of worn conduits and valves to limit the possibilities of future troubles. To complete the job, Stewarts scheduled the County inspection, and Austin returned to ensure that any questions would be answered. Austin and his team were highly competent, fully explained their work in advance, and were considerate when digging near a garden. I have used two other septic companies in the past, and have been dissastisfied with both the quality of these companies' work and their pricing. I highly recommend Stewarts on both quality and pricing.

This company is top notch. They are honest, do great work and charge a reasonable price. They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem. Had the proper replacement equipment on their truck and installed it in a very short time frame. Afterward, they carefully and fully inspected the tank and alarm box, made sure everything was working properly and replaced the tank lid. All in all, a very good job from a very good, family owned company. I would not hesitate to use them and heartily recommend them.

It went great. Not much to tell exact they were highly professional and performed all the tasks needed to get the tank cleaned. Did not damage the property. I highly recommend this company for all of your septic needs.

Once I got a hold of the office, everything was fine. However I left three messages for them to call me back and they never did - I only got through on the 4th try over the course of 6 weeks)

Excellent and effective service over the phone to lead me through a procecure to get my septic tank pumps working. They did not require a charge.
