Very professional service. On time and work performed to my satisfaction.

Great company to work with. Had to replace the 50yr old septic prior to sale/settlement of our house. Buyer had many questions along the way, which delayed the installation process, but as a seller dealing with the company I couldn't have been more pleased. Through the years they have pumped our system as required by Fairfax Cty as they have for most of the surrounding neighbors. Good people to work with.

We had multiple issues and I think I ended up spending $900.

Stewarts tech located the septic cover, removed the grass and uncovered the lid, pumped tank, replaced cover and grass and cleaned up near truck in driveway.

Called and explained our alarm was going off. They said it was probably a false alarm but scheduled an appointment to check it. They never showed up. We had to wait the whole weekend then with this alarm condition and not knowing what the problem was.

Best surprise is no surprise.

Driver arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work. He was done with everything in 35 minutes. He did a very good job of returning the lawn over the tank to as it was before he arrived. He left everything very clean and neat.

These people are my heroes. I was put in a bind by another septic company Fairfax Suburban Septic who was supposed to make a repair (since Feb 24th) on our inlet tee and line and strung me along for almost 4 weeks until I fired them on Tuesday, March 10th. In a complete panic I called Sue on March 10th and asked if they could make an inlet tee repair and have everything wrapped up and inspected by Fairfax County by Friday, March 13th. She said that they could help me. Keith from Stewarts came out on Wed 3/11 and realized that the line had not been dug up (as I had thought the other company had dug up since they charged me for it) so he had to come out the next morning with a back hoe to dig out 4 feet or more of dirt to expose the line. Keith and Austin were out first thing early the next morning and made the repair. In the meantime Sue had set up the inspection with Fairfax County and the inspection happened the next day by the county inspector and passed. Sue made sure I had everything I needed (all of the paperwork) for closing on Monday. What I also appreciated was the Austin brought sheets of plywood to put across my lawn because it was complete mushy from all of the snow melting and would have been severely damaged by the back hoe. They were so careful and did a great job backfilling all of the dirt. They also put hay and grass seed to help the lawn grow grass more quickly. Stewarts restored my confidence in humanity again. I am so grateful to them for helping us get to closing on time. I highly recommend this family owned business and will use them again at our new house when we need septic service in 5 years.

Went very well. Very professional, worked hard, told us what they were going to do, and then did what they said. Did some minor work on a 40 year old system, and told us the electrical panel should be replaced the next time we have a problem with it, but within a couple of years at most. Offered rapid response to whenever we decided to get the work done (including giving a price and completion date estimate.

Pretty disgusting job, but was done timely with no disruption in use of house. Alarm rang in house that the contents of settling tank was too high, and technician found source of problem and fixed it. Gave good information while doing job,

Stewart's performed the septic inspection (whatever it's called) when we bought our house 3.5 years ago. I had heard my neighbors complain about some other companies, so I decided to give Stewart's repeat business. They quoted $265, came out and pumped 1,500 gallons. The workman took his time and explained to me the workings of my septic system, since I had never lived on septic before. He answered all my questions, and replaced the dirt from where he had to unbury the septic box lid. I was pleased with the service.

They also, twice in the past, have serviced our septic tank and also repaired the wire line to the electrical box. On all occasions they were punctual, professional and all at a fair price. I would highly recommend them.

Our septic alarm was sounding on and off when we took showers. They determined that the septic tank was fine, and that the float needed to be replaced. They replaced that one float and made all of the arrangements for the county inspection. We are very satisfied with their services.

They were fast and responsive. I would recommend them.

They had to make two trips because the tank was not where we thought it was. They did not charge us for the first trip. Did an excellent job when we did locate the tank.

I contacted them because I thought I was the company that did the initial inspection (as part of the house sale) was over pricing the replacement of the boxes. They came quickly, confirmed the need to change the boxes, and accomplished the work within 2 days at 2/3 the price of the other company. They were careful in their work and cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely use them again.

After 11 years the old septic pumps failed. Stewart came and diagnosed the situation for a small fee. Once hired, they installed Zoeller pumps. They credited the diagnostic fee. They worked with the county completely independently in getting the permit. County inspector certified their work and gave a satisfactory certificate. Stewart's work was smooth, courteous and they were easy to work with. I would hire them again if needed.

We've had two major issues with Stewart's and one has yet to be resolved. This is the third year in a row that we booked Stewart's Septic to come perform our Loudoun County inspection. Previously, they had always been prompt and filed all of the appropriate paperwork with the county. We were generally pleased with their service. Dylan came to perform our inspection on June 02, 2014. Everything went smoothly and he stated that he would file the paperwork as he did the two previous years. On July 16. 2014, we received a notice from Loudoun County that our inspection was not up to date. Since the receipt of the letter, I have called Stewart's 5 times to follow up on this issue (first call was made on July 17, 2014) and no one has ever called me back. Elaine, who is the receptionist, was extremely rude and belligerent with me when I called for the 5th time and explained to her that I was extremely frustrated with their lack of response. She told me that she couldn't help me because and quot;Dylan and Jerry are gone when I get here and they're not back when I leave and all I can do is leave them messages.and quot; I asked if she could please call them on their mobile phones and she claimed she had done so and that they'd never gotten back to her or me. She told me I was out of luck unless one of the Stewarts called me back and she couldn't help me. She accused me of being 'argumentative' because I asked her what else I could do because we were not in compliance with the county and we paid Stewarts to take care of this for us. I still have not received a call back from them and may have to call another company to come repeat the inspection if Stewarts' does not respond. Our other issue with Stewart's arose on Sunday, June 23 when our compressor alarm on our septic system went off. I called the so-called emergency number that was on Stewart's voicemail and left three different messages and no one called us back until the next day. I had already resolved the emergency with a different company at that point. The company claims to have an emergency service (important with a septic company), but they don't actually respond if there is an emergency. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with the lack of service provided by this company. Terrible experience in the last couple of months and my issue has still not been resolved.

In Feb or March we had an alarm on our alternate septic system and called Stewarts Septic They came out and said the blower needed to be replaced but that we could do without it until spring when they would come out and do our yearly inspection and pump the tanks. County inspections are due July 1st, so I made an appointment over 3 wks ago for them to come out 6/25. They never showed up. After a series of calls, speaking to Jerry (owner) he assured me they'd get out ASAP. Today the secretary called and said sorry, we're too busy, you need to find someone else to fix it. Now we are under pressure to get inspection done before the deadline and companies are swamped. We are a Navy family, lived all around the country, owed homes for over 30 years and never once have I had this type of experience. They have put us in a terrible position!! I like dealing with local family run businesses but this is UNACCEPTABLE. Do NOT call Stewarts Septic. THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR COMMITMENTS, OWNER GOES BACK ON HIS WORD.

Our house is 60 years old - we have owned it for the last for 30 years. We have used Stewart for all septic services including blockages, repair of cast iron lines, tank pumping ,etc. We found their name in the records for the house. They are extremely knowledgeable, very professional, reliable, courteous and punctual. I have never been steered wrong by Stewart Septic. They have gone out of their way to help us every time we asked. They charge a fair price. They are respected by the county. They are a family owned small business with four employees. Austin is the third generation of Stewart I have dealt with. Nancy his grandmother, is the dispatcher. I have read some reviews that state they may not answer the phone in five rings. This happened to me once and I called them back in ten minutes and they answered - it works. If you are one of those tightly wrapped Northern Virginians who doesn't think yours stinks, maybe you should go to a big company, that treats you like any other customer and pay more for less service. Treat the Stewarts with courtesy and respect and they will not let you down. In my experience, it's good to have a personal relationship with your septic service. I highly recommend Stewart Septic.

After initial evaluation, and opening or cylinder that caused a terrible stench. It took two weeks to replace the part. He still hasn't re-sealed the cylinder (nearly 2 months later). The reason was weather. This doesn't apply now! We let them know we had new tenants moving in and it was important to get this sealed! Repeated phone calls have been ignored. Very frustrated.

Their estimate in replacing the pipe was high, we thought, so we went with another company. But, Stewarts was good to deal with.

Initially, it took a couple days to get a call back to schedule the appointment. But once in contact, scheduling was flexible. The serviceman gave a courtesy call ahead of time. They were very professional and helpful. They showed me how to clean the septic filter, how the tank worked, and answered all of my questions. Highly recommended.
