Salzano Concrete is a family owned and operated, local concrete company with over 30 years of experience in concrete and construction. We offer a wide variety of concrete services including both Stamped Concrete and Decorative Concrete Resurfacing. Services include Driveways, Pool Decks, Patios, Walkways, Sitting Walls, and Stairs We will spend time with you, one on one, to create an attractive, modern, and artistic design to complement the feel and setting of your property. Select from our many stamp patterns, colors, accent borders, and stair designs for your project. We typically have a backlog during the season so call early to schedule. This was a great backyard transformation project. Went from a small older patio to a new large 3-tier outdoor space with areas for eating table, grill area and a custom built-in firepit in the lower tier. We are very proud of the results on this job. As on every job, toward the end of the project, we worked with the customer through some color touch-ups and adjustments as we do with all stamped concrete projects and in the end created a great new outdoor space. We are very pleased.
Description of Work: Decorative design on top of existing concrete pad. Salzano Custom Concrete took their time, paid attention to the details, and did a very nice job. We trusted them, and it worked out very, very nicely. Patio looks great, looks very much like stone. We've received many compliments on the beauty.

Terrible. Rude and unprofessional.
Description of Work: Talked to contractor over the phone. Told him about the job I wanted done. It is a 20 by 20 area..400 square feet. These jobs are between 3 to 10,000. Lost him on the line while talking. He never called back to explain if there was a problem with the line. I called him back 3 times right after and no answer and left voice mail with my contact information.

A bit surprised by this, but is looks like I owe the member a sincere apology. I take all phone calls and respond to all customers for my company so I take complete responsibility. However .... for those interested .. my side of this story. I typically take 4-6 new calls like this each day and this situation occurred about a month ago so after 30 or so other calls I may have some details mixed up but none the less I do distinctly remember speaking with the member. As with all my initial calls with customers he gave me some details about his project and I went over schedule and pricing issues with him on that call. My recollection is that he wasn’t particularly happy to hear we have 2-3 month wait time for work and also thought our pricing wasn't very competitive. So as the discussion neared the end I concluded that he was not interested in using us for his project. As we were wrapping up the conversation, yes the call faded .. figuring we were done with the call and he wasn't interested I didn't call him back. Many people would consider a call back in this case bothersome given this particular situation, so I thought the best decision was to not call him back. Most would agree with my assessment, but it sounds like the member wanted to continue the conversation. If that is correct, I do sincerely appologize for this misinterpretation. The next I hear of this situation is here on Angies List with the member's “F” rating. He claims to have called back 3 times and left messages that I didn't respond to. The only thing I can say is that if he left just 1 message I certainly would have called back … let alone 3 messages. So did he leave those messages and they never came through to my phone? .. I really don't know. My phone does roll directly into voice-mail if I am on the line, so possible that he called back 3 time and got frustrated that it went into voice-mail, but never actually left a message? Again, not sure. This is confusing and doesn’t make complete sense to me. I always pride myself on maintaining 100% call back rate. I am always polite always courteous, and always respectful. We deal with dozens of customer each month and have great testimonials, great feedback, and overall hundreds of very satisfied customers. So, I take this type of situation very seriously and personally. Angies List is a great service, but certainly allows any customer to write anything they want .. unpoliced, and unchecked. The member chose to write this review with a score of “F”. The member chose to resort to personal name-calling. “Terrible”, “Rude”, “Unprofessional” because he claims I didn’t return 3 voice-mails that he claimed to leave. Even if he did leave those voice-mails and I didn’t call him back, maybe it makes me a bit absent-minded, or unorganized, but “Terrible” and “Rude” and “Unprofessional”? The member is certainly entitled to his opinion. My opinion that an “F” rating and personal attacks over allegedly not returning phone calls is inappropriate. One of the best parts of my job is talking with customers about their projects. I enjoy the challenge of each call to understand the customers issues, discuss options and potential solutions. I setup appointments and meet with customers everyday. I spend an average of over an hour on each appointment and customers regularly comment very positively on my attention to detail and thoroughness of designs, etc. So, again my apologies to the member if I didn’t return his calls. It certainly makes me even more diligent for future calls and even more concerned with each and every new call that comes in. cj salzano
