A bit delay in writing this review, but all good things are worth waiting for! How did our project go with Salzano Custom Concrete? WONDERFUL! Salzano Custom Concrete performed an outstanding job for us this past spring. Having an existing concrete base used as a basketball court for my son, CJ and his crew helped us convert it into a beautiful stamped concrete multicolor patio for our fire pit and and wicker furniture. I do LOTS of research before selecting a company to do any work at my home. Salzano repeatedly was the company to go to. Great reviews, awesome references and thorough discussions of what was necessary to do the best job per our needs. CJ and crew made numerous recommendations per their expertise that turned out to be spot on! Very professional, punctual and ALWAYS available for any questions, concerns and advice. My advice - Don't hesitate! If you want a professional awesome experience, go with Salzano Custom Concrete!

They were really good. They were wonderful. I have given their name out to people. He's a perfectionist. He took the time to get the colors right. They were really good on keeping you informed. They showed you a video before your project so you know exactly the steps.

Although ours was a small job of just plain concrete it was important to me that I was able to communicate with the job foreman and express exactly how I wanted it layed out. Work crew showed you promptly as promised and completed the job by mid afternoon. They took extra care to protect our subbery. Cleve Askins North Springfield

The end result was fabulous -------- we did a wide plank boardwalk wood pattern and it looks just like the real thing. Salzano's crew was professional, on-time, and finished the job within the timeframe promised (it took 3 days).

They were very easy to work with. We knew exactly what we wanted and they delivered. We had a Ashlar Slate pattern sidewalk and small patio area installed around our house. It looks awesome! We liked it so much that we decided to have them come back out and jack hammer our existing sidewalk on the front of our house and replace with a matching new walk. They come in high demand so get your name on the list! It took a few months to start but the wait was worth it. Very quality product.

The construction process was excellent. The crew worked very quickly, and met all of our design requests. The finished product is exactly what we wanted, and we love it.

We have satisfied the results of a recent concrete driveway, walkway, and porch replacement work. Their estimate, proposal, contract, project work, and follow up procedures were professional and perfect.! The project working team was friendly to answer our questions and corporation with us. They were working hard. We paid the deposit at beginning and Received the invoice after job and follow-up were done. Then we paid full price. Another impressive thing was they planted grass seeds to the new soil area. We strongly recommend this company to our friends and neighbors.

We really appreciate all the effort and professionalism, and love the results! CJ and his crew were spectacular. CJ emailed us prior to every work day letting us know what they would do with tentative plans for the next day. If there were any changes in the work schedule he would write back giving us real time updates. Each day, the crew worked hard and cleaned up very nicely before leaving, We have so many horror stories about contractors working at our home and Salzano's work was by far the best we have ever seen. Not only do they do everything in the proper manner, they also manage to be clean and efficient as to minimize damage the surrounding area. This really is a tribute to CJs management skills.

We could not be happier with the overall experience CJ and his company provided start to finish. He walked us through the whole process, provided some informational materials prior to starting and always provided options with OUR best interest in mind. He suggested innovative options for out patio, which ended up even better than we envisioned. He put in extra amount of work (at no additional cost to us) to ensure the finished product looks best way possible! At the start CJ explained every detail of the project, worked with us to pick the best pattern and coloring to go with our existing landscape and home. As the project was underway, CJ was very prompt to address minor issues that arose quickly and without any hesitation. It was a pleasure working with CJ and would hire him again for this type of work.

I interviewed several contractors, and felt that Salzano Concrete offered the best options and was most professional. I was correct. CJ (the owner) spent a lot of time working with us on the layout and design. We opted for multi-color concrete using the random flagstone pattern. I was concerned about the look of the control joints, and CJ came up with a solution that incorporated the control joints into the design. We were also very particular about the grout color. CJ spent several hours putting test colors down until we found the color we wanted. CJ and his staff were great to work with. I wanted to be home during the major parts of the project, and they were very flexible in accommodating my schedule (and also the schedule of my pool and lawn sprinkler subcontractors, who had to do some updating because of the new deck). We made a couple of design changes during the process, and CJ was very fair on the change fees. The bottom line: We got a beautiful looking deck (see photos) with minimal trauma. I would highly recommend Salzano Concrete without any reservation.

This is our second patio with CJ. He and his company are incredible. My husband is very picky and CJ was always a phone call away with our many questions and changes of sizes.

This company was a pleasure to deal with. I am completely satisfied with the entire project - but absolutely love the stamped concrete patio. It looks like fieldstone but is concrete. I don't know why I waited so long to do this!

After obtaining multiple quotes, we decided to go with Salzanos because of their responsiveness and willingness to work with us on our needs while staying within our price point. They got the job done in one day and it looks great! They even transplanted my Rhododendron free of charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for concrete, stone, or paving work. The yard was backfilled, leveled and reseeded as needed. The crews helped with removing certain small shrubs and in some case replanting in new locations. At the conclusion of the job all the leftover dirt and other debris was carried away. The project took longer than expected, but that was due to two waves of rainy weather. Salzano clearly new how to coordinate the timing and arrival of their crews, concrete deliveries, machines, supplies and build materials. The Salzano crew chiefs and overall project supervisor were reasonably good at keeping us informed of what would happen before, during and after the job. They adjusted to the weather, made a great recommendation for the steps replacement and responded reasonably quickly when we had questions or suggestions. Many of our neighbors have commented favorably on the work. We can strongly recommend Salzano.

Honestly could not say enough great stuff about Salzano! We absolutely LOVE our stamped concrete patio! They were extremely communicative throughout the entire process answering every email and call in a very timely manner. With out a doubt, gave us the fairest quote, but it was our meeting with CJ (Salzano) that sealed the deal for us. Very knowledgable and was a huge help creatively in the design. When the construction of our patio started, we got an update EVERY MORNING as to what the crew would be doing and what they would be completing. The crew was extremely professional allowing us to ask questions, were very patient with us and was VERY good to clean up the site every day! Would HIGHLY recommend Salzano to anyone!!

Everything went great. The workers were great, the responsiveness was great and the patio is beautiful.

CJ Salzano did the initial meeting and walked us through entire process, design options and rough order of magnitude on costs and cost drivers (stamped concrete single vs multi color, stock stones vs others, etc..). This was informative and comprehensive. He prepared an estimate based on our initial plan and selections within a couple days as promised. He also gave us links so we could look at color options and styles of other jobs as points of reference. We paid a deposit to get confirmed on the schedule that got backed up due to bad weather spell that hit area for a couple weeks. His website shows where you are on the schedule which I found helpful planning other trades. The experience working with CJ and team was overall very good and the finish is beautiful. The transition from rough grading, digging, framing and pouring concrete to the artistic detailing of the stamped concrete is really interesting to observe. The Gettysburg Slate multi-color was hand finished by CJ himself. See the pictures attached. The sitting wall was a customized design to incorporate post and this added some additional cost and due to increased size to build 3 wrap around post walls and tops. CJ provided some volume discounting when we did the final measurements to offset some of the additional cost without me asking. The stone work took a bit longer than expected as the mason does not work fulltime on these jobs so we had some gaps where he was working elsewhere. However, he did great work where every stone has to be cut to fit. The stone work area was not kept as cleaned up at the end of the day like other parts of the job were. This would not be too bad if we didn't have the gaps in work to look at the debris. I think expectations were that the job would not be left like that at days end by CJ. All in all, the wall looks great, see the pictures. One thing I would recommend to new customer. Although CJ communicates very well, I would recommend that once the job starts he provide a quick call to home owner to go over plans for the day to ensure the crew and the home owner are all on same page. We had a couple minor items that came up that I think could have been avoided if he communicated with them vs. me trying to. We also felt the finish on the sides of the concrete steps was not up to same level of finish as the rest of the project. I do understand that forms are used on the sides, however we would of liked to have known any options up front to improve the finish. The crew did come back a couple times to smooth and blend it, but I would likely have asked for something different if I were to know up front how that would finish. Overall, I would highly recommend Salzano Custom Concrete, CJ and his team to do very good work and we are very pleased with the outcome.

The job went very well. The team was very professional; they helped with the design and color selection based on house colors. The installation went very smoothly. The patio looks terrific and has added a lot of usable space in the backyard that previously wasn't used very often. It's like an addition to the house. We had considered pavers but in the end, this offered a much better solution and it was much more economical than real stone (and even pavers). It looks great!

I thought it went very well. CJ listened to what we wanted, offered suggestions and we were very pleased with the work. This is the second project Salzano Concrete has done for us. They did a beautiful patio in our back yard and were able to re-create the same look in the front.

Hiring Salzano Concrete was a wonderful experience and my new patio is beautiful. CJ Sazano showed me pictures of the multi colored stamped concrete on our first meeting . I thought it looked great,but it's even better looking in person. CJ really informs you about what to expect and the reasons why . Their website is also very informative. We shopped around and were given estimates by a few different companies and we most impressed by CJ Salzano?s willingness to take the time to explain the options and various processes in detail so that we could make the most informed decision about our patio. No one else gave us pro/cons of each option, some rather steered us into their direction. Choosing Salzano?s was absolutely the right decision, we would happily recommend Salzano?s Custom Concrete to others. We found the quality of service as well as the quality of the completed patio to be excellent and exceeded expectations in every respect. All the personnel involved were extremely hard working and responsive to any and all questions. We requested a very short timeframe to have the job completed and despite many consecutive days of bad weather, the job was completed early due to the very long hours worked even on weekends and late evenings. CJ Salzano and team were an exceptional contractor to work with from start to finish! We wanted a dual use patio for basketball and entertaining. CJ walked through all concrete options from multi-color stamped to plain brushed and everything in between and spent a lot of time with layouts. We had 3 estimates and Salzano was the most cost competitive. Exceptional customer service and immediately addressed any concerns we had. Very pleased with the final product and would use them again!

Salzano spent a lot of time educating me in stamped concrete and providing me a better understanding of the process. The crew was very professional as they worked very cleanly and provided a great quality patio. They exceeded my expectations!
