Salzano Concrete is a family owned and operated, local concrete company with over 30 years of experience in concrete and construction. We offer a wide variety of concrete services including both Stamped Concrete and Decorative Concrete Resurfacing. Services include Driveways, Pool Decks, Patios, Walkways, Sitting Walls, and Stairs We will spend time with you, one on one, to create an attractive, modern, and artistic design to complement the feel and setting of your property. Select from our many stamp patterns, colors, accent borders, and stair designs for your project. We typically have a backlog during the season so call early to schedule. All good.
Description of Work: Really two things. The first was fixing outdoor lights that were embedded into two stone walls and an concrete step that were disconnected a long time ago and no one has figured out a way to fix. CJ came up with a solution and I know have working lights again and am very pleased. I also had my concrete patio resealed. Although the work didn't really correct the look of my patio as I wanted, it wasn't because of the quality of the work done, which was fine, and the sealing was done well.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to add this review on Angies List. I recognize your name as a property manager for our customer, but the date you listed is a year off from the work we did, and the address is not the address where we did the work. So, not really sure what your review is for ... If it is for the work we did for the customer, we felt that project went very well, and yes I think an "A"rating is appropriate, but not sure why you would report that you would not hire us again. Seems the project went well and the customer was very happy and satisfied with the qualify of the project and working with us. Since the date is a year off and the address is wrong, I wonder if this review is just simply a mistake and you meant to enter this for a different company. Seems you were working with other contractors for other types of work including deck builder, roofing company, electrician, etc. If this is a mistake, maybe best to just remove it all together or at least let me know why you feel you would not hire us again. For each project that we do, we spend lots of time up front discussing the project in detail, providing scale drawings, walking through the project work site together and also showing many dozens of photos of similar projects. During the project, we are sure to communicate with the customer each day or every other day to provide updates as to the status of the project and overall what to expect. The feedback we received during the project from all parties involved were always very positive and we never got the sense that you would not want to hire us again. Thanks again for the "A" rating, and glad to hear you were happy with the results of the decorative concrete project. The project was decorative concrete with our unique multi-color, grouted details. Customer also added onto the project a few other features once the project got started. Feel free to give us a call anytime to discuss the project. Description of Work: We had our asphalt driveway removed and replaced with a concrete one, just a little wider than original. The crew arrived on time, worked constantly through the day and left the area clean afterwards. Was again very happy with this company and plan to use them to complete work on back patio as budget allows.All the neighbours were impressed.

Description of Work: They poured a concrete patio under our deck. Deck is high so plenty of room. Concrete is quite rough. Main issue is the follow-up and cleanliness of the area after they left. Left a large mess of dirt and I had to hound them to get them back to fix that. I continue to find lots of gravel in the grass. Then I found the buried downspout and sump drains were not done as discussed which required multiple phone calls. Much of problem is that the PM handed work off to those who we could not communicate with due to language. I was told he would meet with me so I could explain the issues, then instead he sent his people who I could not communicate with. Finally on 9/4 it seems as if the remaining items were corrected. It should not be this hard to get work done and done well.

[Member Name Removed] Thanks for providing feedback on your experience with our project. We always want to hear the good and he bad. The good news is that the project was completed to your satisfaction, ... but it sounds like it was more of a struggle to get there for you along the way than it needed to be. Our sincere apologies for your inconvenience. We do a reasonably high volume of similar projects. Much of our work is backyard residential work, very similar to yours, that gets completed with no problems. Our workforce is made up primarily of hispanic workers. We don't mean to keep this a secret, it is common in this area for construction workers. We discuss this with customers often before the work starts so you know how we manage our crews and what to expect. We do our best to have at least one worker on each job that speaks good English in case there are questions that come up, but on certain occassions is not possible. Workers know exactly what that are to do and our bilingual foreman provide instructions and manage the work. We do our best to tell customers that if the situation occurs where they have questions to ask for the foreman, and if they have having any trouble communicating with the crew they can always call the office for help. This customer did just that, but it seem that the instructions didn't get through correctly and thus needed more than one call and more than one trip back and thus the frustration. We completely understand and do our best to avoid this situation. We do over 100 similar jobs each year with great success, but one or two have communication problems as you have reported. We are constantly monitoring our process, and how we can improve, and communication with workers is always something we are working on ... If we could hire skilled workers that are good at what they do and also speak good English, of course that would be our preference, but unfortunately this isn't always possiblel and of course isn't as easy as it sounds. Most all jobs have one or more workers that speak good English. It is just these couple jobs a year where we don't have a worker that speaks good English and the call into the office isn't effective, ie, the perfect-storm, per se ... this situation happens rarel, and we do our best to manage it, learn from it, improve our process to get better. We have many dozens of happy customers and do our best to provide a professional service, effective communication, and a quality product. Description of Work: They did stamped -concrete in a reddish brick pattern on my drive. Exactly what I wanted. We signed the contract in March but it kept getting delayed and delayed for various reasons. This was very inconvenient...but the result was worth it.

Glad to hear that you are happy with the results. We are proud of the work as well. This was a traditional 2-color stamped concrete driveway using brick red primary color and charcoal accent color. The pattern we used was a herringbone brick pattern that creates a very traditional brick style. Sorry about the delays. This was a great project. We build a traditional 2-color stamped concrete backyard patio as we'll as a renovation to the front porch and walkway. We build our "fancy" multi-color grouted stamped concrete for the porch and walkway and created a beautiful transformation to the front of the house. Glad to hear you are enjoying the new spaces.

Description of Work: We had a deck ripped out and patio poured then stamped and dyed. This was for a hot tub (heavy weight on platform). In addition, we had our driveway ripped up and a concrete driveway poured, stamped and dyed. They did a great job and both are beautiful.

This is a concrete driveway project. The driveway is a 2-car wide driveway that is a bit larger than most and slopes down toward the street, so the driveway is a very prominent feature for the aesthetics at the front of the house. Customer didn't want plain "white" concrete and was worried stamped concrete would be either too expensive or to "busy" due to the size. So instead we came up with several other options. Customer decided on plain concrete, but with color pre-mixed, and we also added natural brick border and inlay details in the interior sections of the driveway, large squares "diamonds" with bricks that match well to the front of the house. All together this combination created a simple, yet elegant decorative look for the front of the house, and gave a charming boost of curb appeal overall. Description of Work: Hi, the vendor came to the house, it took a while for us to get things scheduled. Provided his advice on the projects, and informed that they have a minimum of $4500 for any job. We were looking at something smaller, but would entertain a proposal for our front walk, porch and back patio. After reviewing the proposal and work to be done, the costs just exceeded what we want to spend.

Description of Work: We highly recommend Salzano's. Salzano's transformed our old, cracked aggregate concrete pool deck, stairs and patio with a custom designed "concrete overlay". CJ has an online system for clients to check the status of their job's start date. (It was a 3 month wait for us due to a combination of the shear number of clients ahead of us and the weather. It was worth the wait.) A couple of days prior to our start date, CJ called and then texted regularly to keep us apprised of what was on tap for the day. Great communication. It was a labor intensive job. The crew was very professional - always polite, worked carefully and diligently, and kept the job site clean and orderly. We couldn't be happier with the finished product!

Description of Work: CJ and his team installed a stamped concrete patio in our backyard that was approximately 550 sq ft. The inconsistent weather caused a bit of a delay but once they were on the project everything moved along quickly and smoothly. The crew was extremely professional and made sure the yard was cleaned up each day upon their departure. We are EXTREMELY happy with the result and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a concrete patio!
