Description of Work: I started calling to schedule the work in September and didn't reach Alvin until late October, even though I left over a dozen voice mail message. He wasn't able to schedule the appointment when I spoke with him, he was going to call me back, but didn't. I finally got a time scheduled, then he had to cancel it, it took six weeks to reschedule. He no-showed the appointment, then made me wait three weeks while he completed another job. He struggled with the electrical work I requested him to complete and then left several messes for me to clean-up afterwards.

Description of Work: Money was returned, he had to much to do and wanted me to wait about six weeks.

Description of Work: Provider took a long time to get scheduled, then a week before the service was to be provided, the owner notified me that personal circumstances were going to make it so that he couldn't fulfill the deal I purchased. I sought a refund from Angie's List.

Description of Work: He never responded. Once he was matched as my service provider on the Snapfix project I waited 24 hours as indicated for him to contact me. After that time frame I messaged him through the app and a few hours later I called and left him a message as well just to make sure I was covering all points for attempted contact. I then waited another 48 hours and still no response. So basically I waited 3 days for nothing. I've now given up on waiting for a response from him and have booked a more professional company for my project.

Description of Work: I have used Alvin before and he does excellent work for reasonable prices but he has recently become unresponsive.

Description of Work: This was the $99 for 3 hours of handyman service deal. I had one main goal that was quickly accomplished so we moved on to two other projects. They both got done. What would have taken me days to do was professionally done in 3 hours and I couldn't be happier!

Description of Work: He installed an air conditioner for me but he had to rebuild my window .My house is101 years old with very little remodling done to it. He was very quick and very good considering he had to remodle the window. I would use him again in a minute.

Description of Work: I called Mr. Blackburn on a Saturday and he asked that I contact his office to set a time he could go out and estimate the work I was requesting which was painting. I did call his office twice - once when the mom wasn't available and again when she took down the information and service address. I was told he would go out on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I waited and had no call from him or email telling me he'd been by to do the estimate. I called him again and have heard nothing. His lack of interest in even returning my call tells me he has enough businss and doesn't need mine. Mr. Blackburn is not a good choice in my estimation. Sorry way to run a business.

Description of Work: I had a quote for some work I needed to have done. I needed to have some water damage repaired in a bedroom, bathroom and hallway. He is also going to remodel our down stairs.

Description of Work: Alvin installed a new electrical sub-panel in my basement. He's a very brilliant, innovative, creative fellow when it comes to troubleshooting and getting a seemingly impossible task done. I have had him help me on dozens of other projects through the past 9 years and I've always been impressed. In this case, he ran the sub-panel out into the garage which was far better than putting it in the basement which is what I thought about doing. It worked out so much better! He also ran plumbing for a new bathroom. That turned out fantastic too.

Description of Work: They had to remove a piece of base molding to match that which was already in the room, shop for the molding, measure, cut and install the molding. They also put in a gfi plug in a bathroom which did not have a plug.

Description of Work: We used A+ Handyman West Valley and he did a lot of different little projects for us.
