Description of Work: A+ Garage Doors are a total rip-off. The cable on my door on both sides had become raveled, in order to put the garage door down we took off the brackets that were holding the cable to the door. The guy that came out told me that by undoing the brackets, we had completely screwed the door up, which was a complete lie. He then continued to tell me that my Springs were completely rusted and needed to be replaced. By looking at the springs I could tell it was just surface rust. He then tried to sell me a whole new system, new door, everything. I am a woman and he completely tried to take advantage of that fact. Thinking that I didn't know anything about it. I told him I didn't want to spend that much money and to just replace the cables. He replaced the cables, work for about half an hour and charged me $250 for doing something it would have cost us to do ourselves, maybe 50 bucks. I didn't give them an F because he did fix the door. Don't trust them, they will rip you off and try to sell you everything.

+ -1 moreHad to call A+ out again due to home builders 2" gap problem and he not only came out the very same day I called but had the tools and the knowledge of how to tweek the garage mechanical mechanism to balance right, lift right and seal right in the area where the gap was. Very Very impressed that he stayed and did not leave until the door functioned correctly and worked smoothly having to make several adjustments and changes and did not charge me for the trip or the changes.
Description of Work: replaced a cheap garage door in a new build home with a much better quality door. This new home builder had a 2" difference on the level of the cement and A+ garage doors were able to install and work around the builders poor work.

+ -1 moreI had used the company before but the guy that came was in a hurry. He replaced a couple rollers but I wasn't a hundred percent pleased. I just didn't think it was worth the money. The doors were getting a little older and I thought he would straighten them out. It was not a good value and I think it had to do with the man being in a great a big hurry.

+ -1 moreLynn called ahead of time to say he could arrive a few minutes early if that worked for me - did it ever! once there he had diagnosed the issue within 10 minutes and we settled on fix it all. The job took around 1 hour - and I was 100% satisfied in the end. Thank you Lynn for providing such great service and engaging my family on the repair options.

He confirmed the diagnosis from a company technician who did a garage door tune-up in October concerning the touchpad and the transmitter. The broken sping and its mate were replaced. He noted a chattering of the chain against the rail which was adjusted on a return visit due to my mistake of not realizing it was a new issue. All was done as expected. The pricing seemed high for the parts/labor, but it is hard to comparison shop for both service prices and parts in the garage door replacement business.

I thought I was looking at a new garage opener system, but after inspection, he told me some things he could do to alleviate my problem. He did some minor maintenance and showed me where he thought the problems were. At no time did he try to pressure me into buying a new system. Considering the age of my opener, he thought it might be on its last lakes. We agreed to revisit the prospect of a new system in the spring. I was completely impressed with the service and professionalism of A Plus. Daniel took me through all of the issues he found and explained to me where there might be problems. I would recommend them, and I will use them again when the need arises. I am very please and impressed with their service. A-Plus gets an A+ from me.

The door is working properly and we appreciate Cody's help. We will certainly use A+ Garage Door again to do routine or emergency services for us.

+ -1 moreI looked on Angie's List for a reliable garage door repair shop as two of my garage doors were not working correctly. I called A Plus from the reviews and closeness and locality. Parker came out and was prompt and courteous. He was also very knowledgeable about his work. One of the doors he was able to fix easily. The other could not be repaired due to its age and the fact that it would be not up-to-code. So I needed to get a new opener...he gave me my options and I didn't feel any pressure to go with the more expensive unit. Matter-of-fact as we discussed the options the lower priced unit seemed to be the way to go. Then when Parker came back out to install the unit we realize that he had been out once before back in 2009 and I remember being pleased with his work them also. Nice! I would definitely recommend them!

+ -1 moreCalled Sat morning, was given a 4-6pm time window. Daniel called before 4 and said he'd be out in 20 minutes. He was punctual, and explained what he thought the problems were. the top roller had been dropping out of the track every 4th or 5th opening. He adjusted the track, inspected and lubed the system, and installed a door lock system. Whole thing took about an hour, door works great so far.

+ -1 moreExcellent. My door broke on a holiday and they were the only provider that answered the phone as I went down the list. They explained that they could come out on the holiday but that it would be a little extra charge. I decided to just ask them to come out the next day to avoid the holiday charge. This was my decision to save a few bucks. So we scheduled an appointment at they came out on time, had the part with them and had me fixed in 30 minutes. What I appreciate the most is they didn?t try to up charge me for additional repairs or preventive maintenance fees. They just did what I asked. I am rating them a B for price the price of the spring but I must say I am not an expert on spring costs. I would recommend this company.

+ -1 moreAfter the wind storm I jumped on dexknows.com and looked for the garage door guys with the most favorable reviews. I called them up and they were out the next day with an estimate and a few catalogs and a link to their website which was very helpful. My wife took forever to make up her mind but they put up with us and our questions over the next two weeks while we tried to make a decision. In the end we ended up taking their advice on the recommended color, but we did have to wait two weeks becuase the door was a special order. Installation was quick and not painful at all, there was a manufacturer defect with the new door but they are working on handling that for us. Would definately recommend these guys. Oh yea and they have a great warranty!
Description of Work: Replaced Garage door after wind storm damaged existing door. Because the new door is heavier and better built to handle wind I also had them install a new 3/4 horsepower motor, which we really like. The new door and motor are incredibly quite we were very impressed. M
