Description of Work: There are four NADCA-approved HVAC system cleaners in Utah as of two weeks ago. I contacted all of them by email and asked for price quotes and heard back from three of them, one of which was Royalty Services Group (RSG henceforth). I emailed RSG just before going to bed on 08. 01.11. When I checked email early morning on 08. 02. 11, there was a reply from Samson Rollins, the owner of RSG. He'd asked me to either call him or email my phone number so he could call me. I called him immediately, and my first impression of Samson was that he was a friendly, pleasant person who was very easy to talk to. He asked me a lot of questions about the HVAC system in my place. He also asked me why I wanted to get it cleaned. I told him that I was having allergy and sinus problems, aggravated when I was inside the house. He told me outright that a lot of people have their HVAC systems cleaned for health reasons, but he couldn't guarantee that it would relieve my health problems. I thought it was nice of him say that instead of making false promises. His quote was $ 405, but he gives a $ 20 discount to new customers, so the net charge would be $ 384. Samson first gave me an appointment two weeks away. I told him that I didn't want to wait that long, so he spent some time with his schedule and gave me the appointment at 1 PM on 08. 08. 11. He told me that he might be a little late and in which case he'd call me and let me know. On the 8th, he called me at 1:11 PM and told me that he was running late but would be at my place before 1:35 PM, and he did. He was with an associate, and both of them were very presentable, friendly, and polite. Samson examined my furnace, vents, and return, explained to what they were going to do, and got to work. Samson showed me that my air filter was too small and, therefore, ineffective. I thought it was nice of him to do that because it'd have been to his advantage not to mention it because he'd get my business again sooner rather than later. I hadn't had HVAC cleaning done before, so I have nothing to compare Samson's work with, but I think they did a through job. My house has ten vents and one return, and they spend about three hours to complete the job. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave any mess. It is too early to tell whether my health has benefited from HVAC cleaning. One immediate benefit I notice is that when the air conditioner is running, the air coming out of the vents is noticeably colder. I'm very happy with Samson's work and will hire him again. He says he does carpet cleaning, too. If I decide to clean my carpets, I'll hire him to do it.
