Wouldn't give estimate or do the job because it was less than $500 for the gutter repair / replacement

The work itself went very well. I felt the evaluation was detailed, the estimate was accurate and the job done was outstanding. The gutters were reattached and cleaned out. The scheduling was delayed but I was made aware that they had a backlog. This company absolutely takes pride in their work.

The quote amount was $1450 for their services. They gave me a brochure/folder of information and they went over on the details with me. They did let me know that I would be on a waiting list, which was fine. They have a lot of work needing to do; so that’s fine, because I get a good feeling about them. I’ve been waiting for a long time. They were friendly and courteous. They answered the questions that I had.

Day 1: got proposal and was given fair bid Day 2: called to schedule and was told wouldn't schedule until I faxed a signed agreement and sent half the cost as down payment, which I did that day. NO COMMUNICATION ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT Day 3: was told that they were scheduled out for 4 weeks and I said that was acceptable. Week 6: no work done, NO COMMUNICATION FROM COMPANY. I called them and was told worker would show "tomorrow or the next day" Four Days Later: worker shows unannounced, didn't call me as agreed so I could me him at home. Communicates to my son that it was a two person job and he would be back. Two days later: NO WORKER HAS APPEARED. NO COMMUNICATION FROM COMPANY. I called and demanded that the work be done or my deposit to be returned. Next Day: Two workers show and are so uncommunicative it almost feels hostile. Do work, but install slope the wrong direction so the downspout is on the wrong end of the house from where we had asked them to put it. This company didn't do the least little THING to suggest they care about customer satisfaction; don't show when they say they will, and don't communicate with customer which, ultimately, led to job being done improperly. MISERABLE EXPERIENCE WITH RAIN GUTTER SPECIALTIES. Update: I have changed my evaluation because of the assertive outreach from the owner. He was genuinely concerned about my negative experience and has assured me they will do what they need to in order to make it right.

It turned out pretty good. We have no complaints.

I got bids from two companies and ending up using Rain Gutter Specialties. They came out with a detailed bid. They showed me what they thought needed to be done.

My mother actually paid for it. They did what they said they were going to do, and very quickly. We had no problems at all with them. The quality was good and the price was reasonable. Their responsiveness and punctuality was excellent. They were good, and seemed to actually have no problems in getting done what needed to be done. They were reasonable and worked really well.

I interacted with Tim. I liked what they did. They were fine and I had no complaints. The workers were fine; they seemed pretty professional to me. So far, the gutters are still out there. They were pretty good. They were a little more expensive, but they came across as being more professional. Their quality of work was good; I would have to wait a couple of years to see how good it is though. Their responsiveness was good. I would use them again.

I scheduled an appointment with this company for 9:00 am, they called and changed it to 1:00 pm, ok no problem. Went home to wait for estimator, got another call about 10 minutes after 1 saying they were running late. I had a meeting at 2:00 but the estimator said he would still come out and look and give me a call with suggestions around 4:00 pm. Put my dogs in the house left the gate open went back to work. When I got home the gate was closed so they must have shown up, no phone call at 4:00 or any other time that day. Waited a week, still no call. Called and left a message a week later for them to call me back. Been 2 days and nothing.I guess we will be calling other companies, I don't understand how these guys got an "A" rating.

I contacted this company for an estimate on leaf protection. The estimator showed up a little early (a plus) and I felt the estimate was very fair. He didn't try to talk me into a product I didn't need, even telling me that the rain gutters on the back of my house were in good shape and would not need replacing. My only complaint - which I have voiced to the company - was that I wasn't given much warning as to when the work would be done. I specifically told the salesman that I would need to make arrangements so my dog was not in the yard when the installers came. He told me to mention that when they called to schedule the installation date. I gave them both my home and cell numbers, so they would be able to reach me at work. A couple of weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I called the office. They told me I should be contacted in the next day or two. Two days later I came home to find a message from that morning, telling me they would be there in a few hours. I looked out my window to discover my gate was unlatched. I went outside to look at my rain gutters and discovered the work had been done. Fortunately, my dog had not gotten out of the yard. I rechecked my cell phone to see if they had tried to call it - they hadn't. I would have been more than willing to run home at lunch to make sure my dog couldn't get out of the house while they were there. I think their prices were fair, and it appears the work was well done. My only complaint was their failure to give me adequate warning about the work being done.

I called to make an appointment for a quote and they had an opening two days later. Bob arrived on time and was very helpful in answering my questions about their product and services. He explained the differences in gutter construction and showed me why my old gutters were failing. Their price was pretty in line with other quotes I had received. They were 2 weeks out for installation because of the heavy rains we had been getting, but we were fine with that. They showed up on time and worked fast. After the install they went over the job with me to make sure I was satisfied. They saw that I have lots of trees around my home and gave me some information on gutter covers, but didn't try to give me the hard sell (which I appreciated!). They suggested I see how the gutters do this year and if I decide I need the covers in the future to give them a call. Overall I'm very happy with them.

Our rain gutters were extensively damaged during one of the windy storms this year. After looking through the BBB and the websites of several companies we decided on Rain Gutter Specialties. We were very impressed by the thorough evaluation and presentation of the estimate. The price seemed very reasonable for the amount of work we needed. We chose them and made the deposit with confidence. One day we came home and the first half of the job was done and looked great -- wow. After that it went downhill somewhat. The back yard part of the job remained incomplete for a few weeks, and they were already billing for the final cost. There were gutter parts laying around for all of this time. It took a couple of phone calls to get this part of the job done. We still have a couple of leaks we haven't called in to have fixed. My gut feeling is that they were very busy during this time and may have taken on more jobs than they could do at their full level of quality. Everyone we dealt with at this company was friendly and professional. I think they sincerely intend to do a great job but I can't say we're satisfied with everything.

We got their name off Angie's List. They were very good. Our experience was excellent. We plan to use them again.

Rain Gutter seemed to be locally, family owned and we liked that. The fellow who came out seemed knowledgeable and they got the job done.

They did excellent work. I have no complaints. They were timely. They had a better price too. I would most definitely hire them again.

We had a negative experience with this company. The gutters weren't installed properly the first time. We complained and had them come out a 2nd time to re-install the rain gutters so they would drain correctly. Within a month or so of the 2nd installtion, we were having problems with our new rain gutters. It took about a year and multiple phone calls to have Rain Gutter Specialties come out and fix the gutters they installed. The gutters were draining away from the down spout, but it took a year for them to come out and fix the simple problem.

Their sales manager came out twice to estimate costs, with/without covers. He gave me 2 options for covers.On the second visit, we discussed in detail some problems with slope, downspouts and leaf protection. I felt he listened to my questions and concerns and didn't dismiss them or downplay them as other companies had. The installer completed the job in a day and a half. He was very friendly and easy to work with.

The gentleman who came to do the estimate was incredibly professional, and took the time to go over the estimate thoroughly. He found solutions to several interesting drainage situations left for me by the previous homeowner, and was honest in telling me what would and wouldn't make sense for my house. Rather than sell me items and services that I didn't need, he was honest in telling me what was necessary and what I could take care of myself (keeping leaves out of the gutters, preventing freezing, etc.). He was friendly, courteous, professional, and honest, and I knew I'd be hiring them from the get-go. I didn't interact with the installers at all, other than a phone call telling me they were at my house to do the job. I had told the estimator that I would be working, showed him where the gate and power source was, and he took care of the rest. The installer called to tell me he was there, and when I returned home that evening, the job was done marvelously, the old gutters had been removed completely, and I was completely satisfied.

They did a good job with trying to match our exterior home's style; the first time they came to install the gutters, the color did not match. So, they came back in a few days with a better matching color. We appreciated the extra effort to make it look right. The installation (once they started) took only a few hours. The gutters are holding up and functioning well.

They were great. They came in on budget. They were very helpful. They forgot to put a piece on and I called them and they came right out to make sure it was on right. They were very friendly, I would rate them an "A."
