Dave Passey Plumbing & Heating

We had a water leak from water tank on toilet. We had another plumber come and he replaced the entire toilet. The next day we noticed water on the floor again. I tried several times to get the plumber back to our home with no success (long story). I finally decided to have someone else come to the home and we called Passey plumbing. Dave came out, when he promised, assessed the problem, but didn't have the part needed to fix the problem. He then drove and got the part, did not charge for the time it took to go get the part and fixed the problem. His pricing was very reasonable, he fixed the problem, and I will use this company again in the future!

Went very well, the person who came out was terrific and and very knowledgable, I will use again.

Cliff called 30 minutes prior to his arrival. He performed a system check and provided guidance and direction on how to use and maintain our water softener. He was very thorough and made sure all our questions were answered. I would definitely use him again.

Cliff came to my home in Millcreek and fixed a badly leaking bathroom sink. He unclogged a serious clog, replaced the P-trap and fixed the leak. He was on time, friendly and knowledgeable and he gave me the Angie's List discount even though I forgot to mention it while he was there. The only part of the service that I wasn't totally thrilled with was that the bathroom was a disaster when he left -- wads of wet toilet paper and black grease marks on the cabinet and wall where he was working. I always appreciate when a service provider tidies up just a bit before they leave. That's what makes an "A" company an "A+" in my book. Otherwise, though, I was quite happy with the service and would definitely recommend Dave Passey Plumbing. Thanks! Emily

I called Dave Passey plumbing on a Friday, explained what I wanted done and asked if it could be scheduled for the following Monday. They gave me an 8-12 window and I asked if I could be first call as I was driving 60 miles to the location for the service. They put me first call and the plumber called early and showed up right on time. He looked at the problem, which I thought would include changing valves and water supply lines. He said the supply lines were top of the line and to just replace the valves which saved me a considerable amount of money. He was professional and completed an excellent job and cleaned up afterward. I was extremely pleased with this company and I will definately use them in the future.

Cliff arrived with in an hour after I called their office. He asked where the water shut off was and then followed me into the master bath shower. He had the new Moen posi temp cartridge on the truck. It was no more than 30 minutes after he arrived and the job was finished. The shower head hasn't dripped since and the shower floor is dry every morning. I will call them again if and when i have a plumbing need.

Our tankless water heater died over the weekend. After trying to revive it until late Sunday night, I emailed Dave Passey asking for a quote. Around 9 am Monday morning, Dave called and we talked about my particular situation. He suggested that it might be better to go back to a traditional water heater. We had another plumber also scheduled (no hot water in the morning makes some people very insistent on immediate repair), that plumber came by and told us $5500 to replace the tankless. Yep, fifty five hundred dollars. Tankless might be nice, and save money, but to pay for itself, that replacement water heater might need to work until 2114. It would take two days to install, and they couldn't get to it until tomorrow. I called Dave back and asked about a fast-recover traditional water heater. Fifteen hundred, they could do it that today, but not until afternoon. Sold. At 11:30 am, Josh, from Dave Passey called and asked if he could come by early. We met at noon. At 1:30 pm, we were shaking hands and he was leaving. Heater installed, old heater recycled, everything neat and tidy. Wow. Thanks for saving us $4000, and getting us fixed in lightening time. I highly recommend these people.

All went well. I spoke with Dave at approximately 7:15am on Tuesday morning, He asked me a few questions about our water heater, provided a quote and scheduled us for later the same day. His plumber, Josh arrived within the scheduled time frame, completed the job faster than expected, was very professional and focused and the bill was exactly what Dave quoted my. My only regret is that I forgot to request the 15% labor credit through my Angie's list membership.

It's a mixed review. They were quick to get out there and do the job. All of that went fine. The part where they gave a bid on another bigger issue didn't go so well. They did the sewer line which was fine. It worked for about a week. We had two issues on that sewer line at one time. We thought that was what it was. They put some foam in it. We called them when we had the same issues come back. He proceeded to tell me that the foam that they had put in the line, somebody had come along and shut them and flushed the toilet which ruined the foam. None of that had occurred. They told us not to flush anything or run water in the toilet for 4 - 6 hours to let the foam fit. Basically what happened is he was very quick to jump in to blame the consumer when that had not occurred. They came out and fixed it the second time. He also told me that any reputable plumber would make sure I'd get a DVD of what they discovered in the sewer line the second time. I completely forgot to ask them for the DVD. I wasn't offered one and I wasn't given one. I had to pay for the service again. We paid about $1400 for the two water heaters and $230 for the two different sewer clean-ups. The price was reasonable. The quality was fine. They were professional while they were there. I don't think they handled the situation in a professional manner.

I love working with this company, they are very fast, very professional and usually show up the same day, which I love. Though sometimes their price is a little bit higher than the competition I don't mind paying for the increase in quality, professionalism and speed.

The service was good. They were able to send a plumber out right away. The work was good. He knew what he was doing, but the price was a little more than what I was expecting.

Cliff was very diligent in determining the cause of a water leak in my three-year old home. He was professional, fast and polite during the complicated process. The leak was from a hot tub, which was under warrantee. In addition to stopping the leak, he thoroughly inspected the pipes and walls to determine the cause. I will call Dave Passey Plumbing for future needs.

Communicated well, arrived and gave good advice based on the situation. No work needed to be performed since the issue did not fall under their expertise, but they gave sound advice nonetheless. |

I called Dave Passey Plumbing at 10:45AM on a Saturday morning after realizing my basement floor drain, into which my washing machine drains, was backing up and causing some minor flooding in and around the furnace/water heater/washer-dryer area. I believe it was Dave who answered the phone and asked about the problem I was having and took my basic contact information. He said he'd find out how quickly he could get someone out and call me right back, which he did. He asked detailed questions about the problem to ensure whoever came out came with the right equipment. He called back a second time with an ETA of between 1:00 and 3:00 PM and sure enough Jose arrived at my door right around 2:00. Jose was very friendly and professional, even cleaning off the wheels on his drain cleaning machine before wheeling it through the house, and went right to work cleaning out my floor drain. He was very patient with all of my potentially annoying questions, all while working quickly and efficiently. He offered some ideas on how the problem could be prevented in the future, both simple and not so simple, then let me know that Dave would come and do a free estimate for the work if I chose to have it done. He took the time to describe in detail how a floor drain is plumbed and how, with minimal work, future problems related to the washer could be avoided. In the end, Jose honored the 15% Angie's List discount, handed me the bill, shoot my hand and departed. All in all, about as pleasant an experience as I could have hoped for. I have already recommended Dave Passey Plumbing to a friend, and will no hesitate to call them again when I need a plumber.

Dave and his Son appeared and were completely professional and had a keen eye for detail. Although I paid a premium for the service I am convinced I got a perfect resolution and the repair has been absolutely problem free.

I am very happy with the service provided. The two plumbers that showed up to do the job were pleasant, professional, efficient, and fast. They were here less than an hour. I had previously had a plumber in for something else and he gave me a ridiculous estimate of $500 to replace the same valve. So I'm very happy to have the job done for so much less. I will ,and have, recommended Dave Passey Plumbing & Heating to my friends.

Once an action plan was created, Passey recommended a disaster clean-up crew that arrived immediately and pumped all the water out of our basement. We were then able to tell that we needed to have a sump pump installed. Again, this is now Christmas Eve. Our furnace is STILL completely disabled, we have been without heat for two days, and we have a stream running through our basement. Dave Passey and his team came out and installed the sump pump, located and retrieved the correct circuit board for our furnace, got that installed and also verified that the sump pump was doing its job correctly as well as that our furnace was working and that we would have a MERRY CHRISTMAS, after all. All of this was completed before noon. Amazing. They were honest, friendly, hard-working and, most of all, dependable. I can not recommend them highly enough and will absolutely call them again for any of our plumbing needs. They're just that good.

I mistakenly thought that Dave Passey Plumbing did not work with sewer problems, so I called another listing in Angie s list that listed sewers. They held me hostage for two days as they came out, said they had to flush out to even use the camera to find the problem, then said my entire sewer line needed to be replaced. I called and explained to Dave Passey Plumbing what I was told by the other company - .how I was being pushed to have the entire sewer line replaced for $15,000. Dave set up Juan to come first thing in the morning. Juan was right on time, got right to work and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He said there were indeed tree roots in the sewer line way out almost to the street , but found the right clean out valve in the front yard and augered out the roots. He said the pipe was absolutely fine, and although I would need to do this again as the tree roots would grow back. He told me I absolutely did not need the sewer line replaced. Also that the other place did not flush out the line as they said they did. He took a couple hours and 370.00 dollars later was done. I had been very stressed out the last two days with the other company telling me I needed this huge repair. I think they prey on people - they knew my husband was out of town and they were pushing this scam hard. Juan was fantastic and took care of everything so fast. He even suggested getting a cover put on the clean out valve so it would be easy to access the next time, rather than having to be dug up again. This is the second time I have used Dave Passey Plumbing, and will call them for any plumbing needs. They are honest and very competent. I meant to do this review months ago. I had to make sure that I did to thank them and let others know how great this company is. Thanks!

They gave me an appt. window then called 30 minutes before they would arrive so I didn't have to wait around all day! Estimate was spot on and Josh came prepared and performed the job quickly. Would hire again.
