Yellow Van Handyman

He was waiting for me when I got to the house, he worked non-stop all morning and accomplished most of what needed to be done. He is coming back this Saturday morning to finish up. I liked the work so well that my daughter is also contracting with him to so some cleanup some mistakes on projects that another contractor did poorly.

The repairman located the water shut-off quickly, installed the new fixture, provided great explanations of the needed repair and cleaned our air filter. We were out of the country when this repair was made and had friends staying in our condo. They were very complimentary of his service. Would definitely recommend!

Dave Wright worked tirelessly for two hours, tracking through several circuits and electrical panels-- it's an old house-- and flagged a number of issues we needed to address. We'd also called him to do a window repair, and he referred us to a local vendor who could to the job at less expense. When he wasn't able to solved the immediate problem of a light not getting power, he insisted on not being paid. He referred us to a trusted master electrician instead. Throughout, Mr. Wright was professional, knowledgeable and made several suggestions to our benefit, nearly all of which didn't involve any financial incentive on his part.

Discussed the issues with the old door and why it wouldn't close anymore. We talked about options and he was very helpful in discussing issues of cost and repair. He showed up on time and on the date of booking. Called me when he completed the job and answered any questions that I had. He was very professional and easy to work with. Very pleased with his work!

Very professional service. Dave from Yellow Van Handyman was very friendly and helpful. Worked diligently and quickly to fix or fit all the items requested. I would definitely use this service again for other jobs in or outside the house. He kept all the areas very clean where he worked and made excellent suggestions on how to improve our own suggestions.

I had used Yellow Van in the past and called them again because we needed to have the door to enter our deck enlarged. At the time, there was a transition from the person who came to our home from the prior job and the current person, Dave. We have to wait for a short time for Dave to fully come on board, but we were not in a hurry, anyway. Dave came out and we were able to tell him what we needed. He gave us some suggestions to consider regarding the door and the construction. Since the door had to be specially ordered, it did take some time for it to come in. A new screen door was also ordered, but it did not come in at the same time of the new door, but Dave went ahead and completed the construction and installation of the new, larger door. There was a few weeks' delay in getting the screen door in, but when it finally came in, an installation date was identified. I might mention that during our first contact with Dave, I told him that I also wanted to know if he could help me moving our formal dining table so the area rug it has been sitting on could be taken out and discarded. Dave remembered that this was something that I had wanted to get done (but couldn't because the Mr. is in a chair and is physically unable to do this type of activity). He told me several times that he had a friend that lived close and he would get him to come with him and get this done. On the day that Dave came to install the screen door, he brought with him, a friend along with his cute 3 year old daughter! The table was moved and they waited for me to clean the area and the put the table back in its' place. This extra act of service was greatly appreciated! We love the new screen door and look forward to being able to have an open door during cool evenings to enjoy the fresh air. It also give the Mr. access to the deck which he has not had. Dave did an excellent job. He was efficient and did a quality job. He's also gone the extra mile to ensure that we were pleased with the job. We will definitely call Yellow Van in the future as additional projects come up. Anyone who is looking for this type of professional is encouraged to contact Yellow Van and consider having them complete their project(s).

Dave Wright worked very diligently. He power washed the deck and in a few days came back to do the staining. He even came by on a day off to show me samples of paint colors. I feel he went above and beyond what he was paid to do. I did get another quote on the job and the price Dave quoted me was much more reasonable. He used a top quality stain and did top quality work. Dave was quick to fit me in his schedule. He is very knowledgeable and efficient. Job looked great and new A/C is perfect.

Dave was prompt, courteous, and very careful to complete the job without getting and stain on touching surfaces. He even power washed the adjoining patio for us. I recommend him highly.

Dave really went the extra mile to get my job done on time. He came in the evening as an extra appointment. Hard worker, great attitude. Pricing is not a bargain, but ease of scheduling is worth a lot.

Unfortunately, we chose to use our friend's brother and that was a huge mistake! it cost more money and more time then it ever should have! i wish we used Yellow Van he was super responsive and spot on with other competitors on pricing and time to do the work. I wish we used him! He was easy to reach and answered my questions quickly. Next time I know better then to trust an unlicensed worker in my home. I will use Yellow Van!

He did an outstanding job. The work was of high quality and he did it very quickly. He left the work areas clean when he finished. I would definitely use him again for this type of work and any handyman work I need done in the future. He was also available on Saturday, which works much better for my schedule.

They were great. He is very punctual, thorough, and works well in business hours. It was reasonable.

It was good Good. He was really nice, pleasant, and efficient. He was willing to do anything. I live in an older homes and he was knowledgeable about older homes. He cleaned up after he was finished.

Troy is always on time and there is not a plumbing, electrical carpentry or painting job he can't do. He was efficient and thorough & completed both projects in a timely manner.

Troy was wonderful. He was easy to get ahold of, easy to get an appointment with, and was on top of everything. He repaired everything quickly, and was very friendly and easy to work with. I have used him for 2 jobs now, and will go to him for future handyman needs.

It went very well. His experience and knowledge stood out to me. I was working with a curved handrail and that was kind of unusual. I had been pre-curving the material myself and so I had that for him to use. He took that and ran with it. He did a nice job with it. He was very good. He wanted to know if I had anything else around the house for him to do because he had a minimum charge. He would have been able to discount the cost if I had anything else for him to do. I paid the fee.

Troy was great! He came on time (actually 10 minutes early!) and got to work on the drawers right away. He had the parts with him and he worked quickly and expertly. He then took down the vent cover and vent grille and patched the hole very nicely. I will have no problem painting it myself. He worked very efficiently and neatly and I intend to use this service in the future.

It was ok. One window looked worse after he cleaned it. Other windows and doors turned out good. Responsiveness and overall demeanor was just average...not great but nothing bad.

My only complaint was during the scheduling process. Once i signed up for the deal on this website they sent me a note to call them to schedule a time even though i had provided times as part of this site. When i called them i had to give them all the details then schedule somebody. Ideally they would engage with me on this platform where i saw the promo and signed up for it. The serviceman who showed up was professional and did great work. I would hire him again

It was great. They got it done really quick. They're efficient and helpful. It was nice. I was very happy. There were no extra charges. Their price was great. They're very professional.

Troy Shepherd was very punctual, very courteous & professional. He was able to complete all work requested other than one job because call of materials needed because of the job was unfamiliar. Troy will return by the end of the week.

We bought the 2 rooms for $299.00 deal. We asked for and received a bid on additional painting we needed done. We felt the price of the additional painting was fair so we went ahead with it. Todd worked quickly and was pleasant to do business with. He offered to caulk the area between the wall and the oak baseboards for no extra charge, which we gladly accepted. Unfortunately, the caulking he used was a much darker gray than the gray paint on the walls. It looked like someone had taken a dark gray marker and outlined the rooms. Further, the caulking was not just in the space between the wall and the baseboards, but it was on the baseboard itself. I asked Todd to come back and fix it. Todd came back and painted the caulking the same color as the wall, which much improved the look of the job, but caulking is still all over the top ledge of the baseboard and in my opinion, it looks sloppy.

Wow! I couldn't be more pleased with Yellow Van Handyman Services. For a year I had been struggling to have a leak fixed that was coming into my mudroom. Had a roofer look at the problem but he didn't correct it. Had a friend take a look, but he had no clue but recommended I call a handyman. Checked Angie's List and chose Yellow Van. From start to finish Troy was the consummate professional. He was knowledgeable, methodical, and extremely competent. He analyzed the problem and came up with a plan of action. He removed drywall, located the problem and began fixing the issue. He discovered the leak was originating from around the fireplace chimney on the roof and not under the deck. The deck would have been a nightmare to fix. Yellow Van and Troy are going to be the company I use when I need stuff done at my house. I give Troy five stars for his professionalism, customer service skills and expertise.
