USI All Purpose Windows & Doors

That was probably the best experiences we've had with someone. They had it done when they promised it would be done.

I loved the doors. They were very professional and not sure how the price compares because we did not shop around. My brother checked around and he said he believes we got a decent. THey did a great job, very craftsman like, and they turned out perfectly.

We are very satisfied customers. Our sales rep understood what we were trying to accomplish with the job, suggested great windows, and didn't try to upsell us into the exotic glass where it wouldn't make sense (unlike some others we met). The installers did a fantastic job even on windows where our house had settled and the openings weren't quite rectangular anymore. It looks perfect. The price was below what others had quoted. Everything was complete within the estimated time frame, it looks great, and they were easy and polite to work with. Our home is much more comfortable with the new windows. The carpentry on the new window sills also looks great.

Overall, they were good. They were very reasonable and affordable, and I was very satisfied with them. I wanted to install the windows myself, and I liked that they would actually let me do that. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The work was scheduled on two successive days, with the bulk being completed on the first day. The crew arrived as scheduled on both days and were efficient and respectful of my house's interior. I have had the windows for over a year, and I have never found any defects. I had used the company for another house in about 1994, and was pleased with their work at that time, so used them again. I am now contemplating using them for a third time for some basement windows.

The sales guy was a compete jerk. He wouldn't honor the coupon listed on their Angie's List page until we called corporate and had them honor it. He then tried to tell us he already gave us a deal in the price, even though he didn't mention this at the time we got the estimate. Once we got the adjusted price he just treated us like crap from that point forward. If it wasn't for the fact we got such a great deal (due to the coupon) we would have gone elsewhere. However, the guys that came out and did the measurements and installation were awesome. They were friendly, professional and very thorough. Because of these guys I would go back to this company, however, I would request a different sales guy. When I mentioned the coupon on Angie's List to the sales guy he actually said "Only old women use Angie's list, guys wouldn't use it" I actually laughed at him. Overall this company did a great job but the guys at the main office and the sales guys need a lesson in customer service. If you decide to go with this company make sure you print out the coupon and let sales guy know about it.

They did a good job. We would use them again in the future.

They were excellent and timely. The back door came in the wrong size, but they handled it really well. We were pleased with their price, service, and the installers we professional and I trusted having them around the house. They listened to our needs and cleaned up well. I would recommend them to anyone.

I bought the high-end wood frame windows that closely matched my old ones (85 year old home). I ordered the windows in September, it is now almost the end of December, and the job is still not 100% complete. They have made 4 trips to my house. On the first one, they installed 2 of the 4 windows I ordered. Of the two they didn't install, one just didn't get ordered from the factory somewhere in the midwest, the other was measured wrong, so had to be built again. One of those first two was damaged during install, a 1/4" thick x 2" wide strip of moulding at the bottom was (and still is) cracked along its whole length. I was told they would replace that next trip. On the second trip, they installed another window, but damaged the weather stripping and the nice wood that I paid so much for. The third trip went well, for one of the 4 windows. I had to remind them 4 times for my screens, which they finally brought on the last trip. On the last trip, they fixed the weather stripping, replaced the sash on one of the damaged windows. As for the cracked moulding, they're now suggesting I glue it, after I stain it of couse, so it doesn't look bad. After 3 months, I'm still not 100% satisfied.

I had a good impression of them. I thought they would do a good job. Their price was good but I thought I could save some more money. The person who came was very late and called late as well. I might use them in the future.

We collected four bids for replacing the windows in our new-to-us home. In his visit and all our follow up meetings our sales man, Geoff Leckie, was professional and very informative. He was patient with us as we waited for all of our financing to be approved and was quick to get us what ever we needed for the process. The installation went smoothly. I was surprised to find the workers were more than comfortable using my restrooms several times throughout the day without question or regard. Perhaps this is normal and I am just not familiar with how those things work. We have been very pleased with the work and the quality of the windows so far.

Having been rejected by 4 vendors, and ignored by a fifth, I was just so happy All Purpose found a solution. We have a vintage (1940's-era) home and the basement door required custom work. Most vendors I found don't do custom work, and it took months just to get so many rejections. The rep at All Purpose was friendly, helpful, and resourceful. He actually did find us a pre-fab door, but from a manufacturer that was willing to trim it down to fit. By now I would have paid for the fanciest custom door out there, had I the budget, but All Purpose said there's an economical solution out there - and they found it. We'd had the old door sealed shut just to keep bugs out. Bought the home knowing we'd need to replace the door; just didn't realize what a pill that would turn out to be. Anyway, All Purpose's installer was extremely efficient and clearly experienced. The company communicated well each step of the way (a rarity with many vendors); upheld everything they promised; everyone we spoke with or met was very kind, so you can tell it's a nice group altogether; and it's just such a relief to finally have that door working again!

Sales person was easy to work with. Showed up when he said he would as did the guy measuring when the order was made. The sales guy was honest about the higher cost and benefits for it. He wasn't very close on the estimated time though. He said 4-6 weeks total. The door/window companies were back logged and my order took close to 6 weeks and then All Purpose was backlogged. Whole job took nearly 3 months. Once I got it scheduled, the two installers showed up within a half hour of time I was told. The finished the basic install in 6 hours leaving me with a secure home and then did all the trim work the next day in 6 hours. Both days they left the work area very clean. They didn't even leave any tools there over night for work the next morning. I refused earlier time slots because they would have fallen over the weekend. Knowing now how clean they are, I should've taken the earlier times offered. Overall, they were more money but well worth it to me just for the savings in time and stress with usual contractors who no-show, go long, go over-budget, &/or leave the place a disaster.

This was one of the best experiences we have had with remodeling companies. Rusty the sales representative came to our house three times before we signed anything. Rusty was honest, professional and helpful beyond expectation. After the windows were built and arrived in SLC, the install was scheduled within a week. The installation team headed by Matt arrive when they said they would, were neat, and did excellent work. We even had two screens that did not arrive with the order and the challenge was handled professionally. The company listened and provided outstanding service.

Two men were assigned for our project. They completed the job roughly 7 hours. They put down cloth to keep the mess to a minimum. They cleaned up after themselves, washed the windows inside and out when they were done. The salesman who we had met with came back a couple of weeks after our windows had been installed to check the work. Everyone we dealt with from the sales staff to the office staff to the installation staff were all very professional, friendly and concerned that we would be happy with the finished product and we are.

I was very impressed with their work and I would recommend them to other people any time. They were so friendly and professional. They also made sure to answer all of my questions. They did a great job and it was so easy to do business with them.

All Purpose windows did very well about following the guidelines for the historical area codes in my are. It only took them two days to get all the work done for me and they made sure there was not any debris left over. I was just happy how they totally followed through with my entire request.

They came out in a timely manner and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They answered any questions that we may have had and everything was done correctly the first time.

It went great. The installation ended up taking longer than the original two days scheduled because wood with dry rot had to be replaced under the large picture window. The crew was on time, courteous, and kept us apprised of what they were doing. The one glitch was that the sales representative overlooked one window in his original estimate. He made the best of the situation by giving us a good deal on that window. One screen was bent during installation that has not yet been replaced.

I have used them several times and I think they are always a pleasure to work with. The workers are always polite and easy to work with. They show up on time and the price is just right.

They told us to arrange the concrete cutting, so they didn't have to have a middle man. He should have had it have steel reinforcement. The company says it's the concrete cutter's problem not theirs, but I don't think so. The doors were installed incorrectly.

The company did not follow up and return to do work needed after the bill was paid. They did not do everything promised, but the work done was very good. They had to remove stucco around the windows and did a good job. Im still waiting for them to come back.
