Star and David came out and did an estimate on removal and replacement of the disintegrating, grody grout in our 1950s-era pink tile bathroom. The grout in the tub/shower really, really needed to be replaced as we were getting the house ready for sale, and this was the only bathroom in our 100+ year-old bungalow. We didn't want, nor could we afford, a total bathroom reno, but that tile/grout needed some serious attention. We were surprised that the estimate was so reasonable, so we went ahead and scheduled the work. Star and David both came out to do the work, and it took them only about 4 hours. The transformation was amazing. I had never wanted to take a bath in the old tub because the grout and caulking were so disgusting, but Star and David's work went way above my hopes and expectations. I took a fantastic bath that night! I really had no idea that the tile could look that good. Made me wish we had had the work done YEARS before!

The estimates were complete and we were given a specific time for the work. Star and David arrived exactly as scheduled and got right to work. A job initially scheduled proved infeasible due to structural problems in a shower stall. We got a clear explanation for why the work should not be done, and we were not billed for their inital attempts in grouting tiles that would soon just fall off the wall. I was grateful for the honesty. These guys are very professional and very honest.

When Matt came out to give us an estimate to redo our shower, we had already been told that we would have to re-tile the entire shower and that it would not be possible to re-grout it. There was some water damage and there were many places in the shower where the grout had fallen out which allowed water to drip to the back of the tile. When Matt gave us an estimate, we were pleased when he told us that the tile could be re-grouted. We did have to call on the day Matt was to come out to do the work to find out if he was still planning to do the job. He was just running late. When he arrived, he and another employee went straight to work. We were informed that a place in the shower where some caulking had been applied had actually sealed in some water and the tile popped off so it would take additional work to repair. He indicated that there would be additional cost for the unexpected work. When the work was completed, we couldn't believe that the shower looked new. Matt and Shane did a magnificent job! We are very happy with the quality of the work. Both were very professional, had the required equipment with them, and cleaned up the area before they left. We would definitely recommend The Grout Doctor to family and friends. The amount Matt quoted us for the estimate was fair and surprisingly, he only added $20 to complete the additional work for the tile that came off! This was a great option rather than having to spend the money to install a new shower, which was not in our budget. If/when we have a need to have tile re-grouted in the future, The Grout Doctor will be the first phone call we will make.

Fantastic, super, unbelievable that our 20 year old tile is sparkling clean and the grout is like new. Work was done with attention to detail, very neat and tidy in their work, and they showed great care of our home. Work was professional and very exact. The caulk he replaced looks amazing. I will never hesitate to call them again for any other tile, grout or caulk work. It's been three weeks, lots of showers and it looks as good as it did when they left. I have recommended them to all my neighbors and wish I had more tile in my house so they could come back for more work. Price was completely reasonable for the work done.

I contacted the company by telephone, and no one answered. So I left a message and asked them if they worked in Utah County because their website claims they work all over the state. No return call.

They came and did the bid. It was a reasonable bid. Then they came back and did the job. They did a very good job. I was very happy with their work. He worked about 3 or 4 hours, so it was plenty of time. He cleaned up after himself very well. They got stalled one time for the initial bid. They had a car that broke down, but that happens to everybody. They went right to work, but they were delayed in getting to me. They did call me and I did appreciate that.

It was not quality work and the grout fell out within a year. I will not use him in the future.

Excellent experience. I thought I submitted an A report months ago, but I will absolutely again recommend this Grout Doctor. Very responsive, friendly and informative, to boot. I would use them again in a heartbeat! The amount I paid, too, was actually less than the quote. Perfect!!

The difference was remarkable in how much more even the grout coloring was in the after phase of Danny and David's cleaning work. They were extremely attentive to detail and worked on spots we did not even perceive as needing care, but their experienced eyes could see uneven coloring and/or worn out areas where the original grout had deteriorated. Danny advised us on better ways to care for our tile surfaces of which we were unaware and will help us keep things in better condition going forward. They did not push us to do more than what we felt comfortable with and so allowed us to see the effect of just grout cleaning as opposed to cleaning and restaining. David returned at our request to recheck some areas and to consult on whether one difficult room could benefit from staining and noted some other isolated spots where a touch-up was warranted. This approach saved us money overall and in one instance in a guest bath allowed us to see the difference where staining was necessary in order to create-restore the visual balance of a brand new floor. They were prompt in coming back for the second visit when we had the staining done and during that visit did a few spot checks and cleaning/staining of a few areas where the color coordination was not to their satisfaction. Their timeliness and professionalism was greatly appreciated. Their prices were reasonable and they stood by the estimated provided during the initial job-sizing visit.

David the technicianwas running a little late, he called to tell me so, but when he arrived, he cleaned the grout in our main shower, filled in holes and recaulked the door. He was very polite and extremely neat and clean. Not one spec of dust left!

Matt came promply to give us an estimate and tell us what our options were. We decided to not have the whole entry relayed and he agreed to come back and replace the loose and broken tiles and clean and stain the grout. He came as scheduled and completed the relaying of the tiles and replaced the damaged gout. He returned 2 days later and cleaned and stained the grout. Although it was a little more than we expected to spend, the tile is beautiful and we are very satisfied with his work.

I contacted the Grout Doctor and Danny Start came out the next day to give me an estimate. I made an appointment for the following Friday ( I had to get this done before my husband got back from his trip, as he was the reason the incorrect grout was used and both bathrooms looked horrible - ). Danny got it all done in about 5 hours and I was beyond pleased with the results. Not only that but he was very professional and friendly - a definite plus! - it has been a couple of months now, and both bathrooms still look great - I'll definitely be calling for any other tile needs I might have!!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. YOUNG MAN CAME TO ESTIMATE AND BEGAN LOOKING AROUND MY LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN EXPLAINING ALL THE SERVICES HE COULD PROVIDE -RASINING SHADES ETC. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO REDIRECT HIM TO THE WORK I WANTED DONE. HE FINALLY CONCENTRATED ON THE JOB I WANTED AND SAID HE WOULD DO IT FOR 250.00 AND GIVE ME A 50.00 DISCOUNT. THERE WAS NO PRICE LIST TO GO BY HE JUST LOOKED AROUND AND SAID I'LL DO IT FOR THIS. SO I SAID I HAD THE 20.00 ANGIES LIST COUPON AND HE SAID IF I WANTED TO USE THAT, THE PRICE WOULD GO BACK TO 250.00 AND THE COUPON WOULDN BRING IT DOWN TO 230.00. ON THE DAY OF SERVICE THE MAN MADE 3 PHONE CALLS POST PONING HIS ARRIVAL-1ST TIME "SOMETHING CAME UP", SECOND TIME HE FORGOT HIS SUPPIES, THIRD TIME HE COULDN'T FIND THE HOUSE. HE WAS 3 HOURS LATE. HE TOOK 4 HOURS TO DO THE WORK AND I HAD TO MAKE HIM LEAVE AT THAT TIME. HE STARTED TO DO WORK I DID NOT WANT DONE. HE WAS CARELESS AND DID NOT CAULK AROUND MY BATH TUB FAUCET AFTER REPLACING SOME TILES AND WITHOUT IT WATER WOULD HAVE RUN BEHIND THERE IMMEDIATELY. ONCE HE WAS GONE, I REALIZED I COULD NOT LOWER THE SHADE ON THE WINDOW ON WHICH HE REPAIRED A CORNER OF CAULKING.IT WAS BROKEN. 2 DAYS LATER, WHEN USING THE TUB, I REALIZED THE LINE OF OF REPAIR AROUND THE TUB WAS SO TINY IT WAS NOT BETTER THAT WHAT HAD BEEN REMOVED. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND THE SAME MAN RETURNED THE NEXT DAY WONDERING WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. HE SAID HE ALWAYS USES GROUT AROUND TUBS INSTEAD OF CAULK. I ASKED HIM TO APPLY AN 1/8 INCH BEAD OF CAULK AROUND THE TUB AND DOWN THE WALL AND CORRECT THE DEFECT AROUND THE FAUCET WHICH HE DID. ADVERTISEMENTS AND PERSONAL RECOMMENDATIONS FROM FAMILY AROUND THE COUNTRY MADE ME THINK THIS WAS A REPUTABLE COMPANY BUT I NO LONGER HAVE CONFIDENCE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A FRANCHISE THAT USES LOCAL FREE LANCE HANDY MEN TO PICK UP WORK AND THER IS NO QUALITY CONTROL OR PROFESSIONALISM INVOLVED. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Everything turned out great. He responded quickly, was prompt, and I would recommend him.

Came within a day and gave an estimate. I waited about 5 days to get an appointment once I decided to have the work done. Arrived on time, in fact a few minutes early. He finished within the time I was told the work would take to complete. The owner was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He did what he said and also a few extra things without extra charge. The job looks great!

Very well. From the phone call, for them to come and look at the problem, they were on time, price was reasonable and he did some nice extras for no charge. The shower looks so much better, I wish I would have called them sooner. He also cleaned up and did not leave me with a trash can of old moldy caulk and used supplies.

The gentleman did a wonderful job of cleaning soap scum on shower door. He was very unobtrusive. I didn't have to worry about him alone upstairs. He also completed the job in a timely manner.
