Plumbing Plus

My 70 year old sewer line needed to be replaced/relined. I had several plumbing companies come out to give me estimates. Paul made me feel comfortable and explained everything very well and gave me several options which was nice. Some of the other companies jumped to the highest priced solution without listing alternatives. Price wise, Plumbing Plus was on target. I did get a lower quote from one other plumbing company, but they did not take as much time explaining what they would do and I felt much more confident about Plumbing Plus. The guys that did the work were polite, friendly, kept me updated on where they were, answered my numerous questions, and let me take pictures of the work in progress. I expected a lot more disruption for the days they were here, but I really was only without the sewer line for a portion of one day. Once they got to the sewer line, it was surprisingly quick how fast they removed the old portion and replaced it with new. My only complaint is that one corner of my yard is a little torn up, but that is to be expected when you are digging such a deep hole. So know that you might have to do a little landscaping after a big job like this. :) I'm happy to have a worry free sewer line that will last for years to come.

Approximately 3 days after posting this review I received a $30 check from Plumbing Plus. Maybe because of my Angie's list review or just slow bookkeeping? I do appreciate the company's response though. I have modified my ratings accordingly.

It would have gone perfectly if we hadn't discovered a week later that the lateral is broken. Tried a using a hydrojet to clear the pipe the second time and that's how we discovered the problem. Will definitely use them and the hydrojet (even though it costs more) in the future.

As always Plumbing Plus came through. Service was fast, friendly, professional, and done right the first time. I've used Plumbing Plus in the past and will continue to do so. I had a leaking exterior hose bib that needed a special part (Woodford model bib). No worries with freezing now - fixed. Also had a slower flushing old toilet replaced with a new model at a great price. Everything works great now.

Fanstastic! They were on-time, professional, and provided excellent service. They could have easily charged me for a new pressure valve but he was able to tighten some bolts as a temporary fix and to save us money. Very nice!

Took longer and cost more than estimated, but that isn't surprising considering the inspector we were dealing with. He (city inspector) is quite a piece of work. At $108/hr they ain't cheap but you get what you pay for. I had two other bids. One of them never even got back to me because they said they didn't even want to attempt it. The other bid was much less cost but I did not get a sense that they would be nearly as considerate with the tight space, would leave lots of cleanup work for me to finish after they left, and they were not nearly as attentive with my project. This was a difficult project and Plumbing Plus took the time to completely understand the work and they handled all the coordination between the city inspector and Questar Gas. They kept me informed throughout the process and though there was a significant delay, my expectations were appropriately managed. Both Paul who put the bid together and Eric who did the work were just awesome to work with!

The plumber, Jeremy, arrived on time. He was professional and personable. He installed our new kitchen faucet, cleaned up after himself, and did so in a very timely manner. I highly recommend Plumbing Plus.

Excellent! Everyone I worked with at Plumbing Plus really care about customer satisfaction and doing a great job. As executor of my father's estate, I've been working to get the 50+ year-old house ready to sell. The plumbing had been neglected for many years, so a lot of small repairs, and some larger ones, were necessary. After getting a plumbing inspection and a very high bid from one company, I obtained three other bids for the work, one of which was from Paul Shaaf at Plumbing Plus. Not only did Plumbing Plus provide the lowest bid, I also felt most comfortable with them doing the work. Paul seemed the most knowledgeable about the older fixtures, and I liked his suggestions for resolving the problems. He also offered his honest opinion when he felt that something listed in the inspection was not necessary. I also found Rene, in the office, to be very knowledge and helpful when I called with questions and to schedule the work. Two employees completed the work in less than a day. They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I am very pleased with Plumbing Plus and the work, service, and value they provide. I will definitely call them whenever I need plumbing services in the future!

From the first call to the last goodbye, Plumbing Plus exceeded every expectation. Use them. PERIOD

Our water heater went out on Tuesday morning, October 20th. I called Any Hour Service to give us a bid. We had used them in the past. They came and told me they would have to tear out the wall and the gas line clear to the ceiling, plus all of this stuff that was illegal, now. They just couldn't do it for under $3,500. I was floored. Plus he said you have to have earthquake straps. (The water heater is in such a tight place you can't get it out without taking out a wall, and it needs earthquake straps? Believe me, it isn't going anywhere.) After a day of stewing I finally got on Angie's List and found Plumbing Plus. My husband called and talked to Rene, who was very helpful. I then spoke with Rene and sent her pictures of the area so she could determine just what would be needed. They decided that it wasn't all that bad and they could do it for the "special's price" of 1,450. This would include an energy efficient 50 gallon water heater, so we would qualify for a $50 rebate from Quester. We took out the necessary wall joints, their technician came and explained everything he was going to do. He was the nicest guy ever, by the way. He was so great with our dogs, very friendly and gentle with them. He had the job done in under 2 hours. Any Hour Service said it would take then 6 hours to do the job. Of course I will use Plumbing Plus again if I ever need plumbing done. They were honest and upfront with their service. They were prompt and courteous. Their customer service was excellent. What a great company!

We called for a quote, the office staff is VERY knowledgeable. We had them do some work in the past and after comparing bids - we accepted their quote (the last time they did work for us it was excellent as well). We were very happy with the work this time as well, the tech arrived on time, did a very nice/clean professional install. The tech was also very knowledgeable and experienced, he leaned up after the job - everything was at/above expectation. We highly recommend this company and will call them again for future plumbing needs.

Exceptional responsiveness, communication, and service! Over a weekend (of course!) we lost all water pressure to the house, and had to move to a hotel in order to be ready for work on Monday morning. I called Plumbing Plus first thing Monday morning; the receptionist informed me that the company had multiple large and emergent jobs scheduled for the week. She made it clear that she understood the urgency of my request, but also expressed concern about whether the crew would be able to work my job in with everything they already had scheduled, which was also urgent. I understood, of course, but based on a small job Plumbing Plus had preformed for me in the past and on the high Angie's List ratings, I informed her that I was willing to wait for the Plumbing Plus team. Later that same day, I received a call back stating that they could come over the next day (Tuesday) to evaluate the problem and provide an estimate. They showed up on Tuesday (early!) with great communication. They spent a lot of time thoroughly evaluating the problem and developing multiple options for repair. The problem was potentially extremely complex, involving digging up a large portion of our back yard to access the well connection and trace the water line into the house; there was a possibility that the job would include digging under a fragile stream, going through our foundation wall, and digging up our basement to access the piping to the well pump room inside the house. Throughout the entire evaluation process, Plumbing Plus was communicative with me and transparent in their thinking and their concerns about the potential complexity of the job. Also, Plumbing Plus offered several options for me to cut costs (like suggesting that I could dig part of the yard up myself in order to cut labor costs on their end). In the end, I chose to have Plumbing Plus do the entire job, for multiple reasons, but I truly appreciated their willingness to make suggestions for portions of the job that I could perform myself in order to cut labor costs, if I wanted to. The original estimate for work was in the $10,000 range, with the potential for it to be up to about $12,000 depending on the amount of inside basement work required. However, the final job came in at $6,300. Plumbing Plus was communicative with me throughout the entire job -- including taking a phone call from me after hours simply to explain the work that they had done during the day while I was at work myself. Ultimately, the Plumbing Plus team found that the problem was isolated to just the connection between the well pump and the water line to my house. They were able to confidently assess the quality of the water line running into the house and advise me that there was no need to replace the entire pipe. I appreciated their willingness to both (1) advise me on the wisest and most efficient way to conduct the diagnostic evaluation and the final job without risking having to dig up the line again in 2-3 years because only a portion of a problematic line was fixed (which is something I was worried about), and (2) narrow the scope of work to a much smaller job than originally estimated, based on a confident evaluation and assessment of the entire inside and outside plumbing structure. In summary, the Plumbing Plus team did a fantastic job on a very complex project: their communication, transparency, attention to detail, and dedication to quality work was exceptional. I recommend Plumbing Plus, without reservation, for any small or large job.

Plumbing Plus repaired a "stack pipe" or what I would call the main 3 inch pipe that goes directly into the sewer. It was leaking quite badly every time the toilets or any of the sinks in the house were used. The technician arrived on time, was very courteous and pleasant to deal with. Best of all, he knew exactly what needed to be done and saved me a considerable amount of money. He was able to drill out a piece of pipe (the part that was leaking) and replace that with a section of new pipe. He did need a special piece of equipment in order to accomplish the job, and called another employee and that fellow brought over the necessary tool. The whole procedure, including the delivery of the special equipment, took less than 45 minutes. Had the technician not been able to do what he had hoped that he could do, it would have required an extensive repair of my plumbing system and a huge amount of money as well. The repair works great, the technician cleaned up after himself and things work perfectly. Plumbing Plus is a very good company and I have used them in the past and will continue to use them in the future, if necessary. These people are no nonsense and very professional.

They were great, he's really good and he did all the plumbing and he put in the bathroom under the basement. He's really reasonable, he is really passion able and of course I will use him in the future. He's an exceptional plumber.

This the second time that Plumbers Plus has performed maintenance and problem solving work for me and once again I was very pleased with the entire experience from the initial consultation to the completion of the work. This company is no one trick pony and they constantly deliver good quality professional correspondence and excellent service. The technicians are always very courtesy and knowledgeable and do their work in a timely manner and clean up the work area. I would definitely call on them again in the future for their plumbing services and would highly recommend them to friends and family. They live up to their slogan,"We do it all and we do it well". Plumbing Plus has done an excellent job. We had the same plumber, Eric, two times. He was informative and very personable. He was on time and very efficient. He also explained everything that needed to be done and provided two options to fix the valve. I would highly suggest Plumbing Plus.

This is the second time that I've used Plumbing Plus. I've been very happy with them the two times they've been out to my house. They did exactly what I needed and I got a 10% discount because of Angie's list!

Crew arrived spot on time (9:00 AM) and left at (1:00 PM). They walked me through the entire process explaining work to be done both inside and outside the house, then got to work. When I originally set up the appointment, I was told because of unknown variables, the job could take a full day and in an extreme case even overnight, so I planned accordingly. I filled the tub and kitchen sink with water, filled several bottles for the fridge expecting to be without water for as long as 24 hours. Imagine my surprise when they started filling in the holes just after noon! The crew was absolutely professional, dressed in company logo clothing, driving company truck. They placed tarps on the grass where they pilled the dirt from the holes they dug, and even went so far as to place a piece of cardboard covered in kitty litter under the large compressor they brought in case the motor leaked in the street. They were pleasant and very tolerant of my wanting to watch over their shoulders and ask occasional questions. They filled in the holes, and even swept the sidewalk free of dirt before they left. They removed every single thing they brought with them, no water bottles in the bushes or candy wrappers. Other than the obvious cuts in the sod, you would never know there were 4 guys working in my yard all morning. I didn't realize there were companies still around that took that much pride in their job and customer satisfaction. I usually question any online review that is all sunshine and 5-starts, however I see no alternative than giving Plumbing Plus a full A++ rating. I love these guys and have referred numerous friends to them. I will never need to look for another plumber as long as I live!

Paul at Plumbing Plus convinced me NOT to buy a new water heater, while another local company wanted to sell me a new one the minute they stepped foot in my house. Turns out, the problem with my water heater was just a sensor, that I was able to order and replace myself. Paul said the water heater was fine, and has a number of years left in it given its little use. We can't thank Paul enough for his advice that saved us thousands. When I need them ? and that day will certainly come ? I will call Plumbing Plus. I'm glad to see a company that has their eye on the long-term, building lasting relationships with their customers.

Called for appointment. I've worked with Plumbing Plus before and trust them and their pricing so didn't do a estimate first. The plumber (forgotten his name) was early, informative, polite, quick, and left no mess. The repairs are without problems after completion 3 weeks ago. I was billed promptly after job completed. I've been using Plumbing Plus for years and have had great experiences. Paul (owner) has gone out of his way to help me out for urgent fixes (a flooding basement) coming out to turn off water in the evening without charge a few years ago. Also recently with the very cold windstorm gave me phone advise on frozen interior pipes without charge. He's always pleasant and helpful as are all the staff I've interacted with so far. They have my loyalty!

I would absolutely used them again and I nominate them for the page of happiness!

The plumber and his assistant worked non stop from arrival to finish. He repaired the original faucet right away and went on to install a new sprinkler box for my front yard and fixed the sprinklers so they worked perfectly. We ran into a couple of leaks in the back yard and they repaired them right away. They came back a time or two to besure the pipes were sealed with good water presser and no further leaks. We love these guys they are prompt, professional and friendly.

Everything went well. They were courteous & worked diligently through the day. They did a minimal cutting into walls/ceiling as possible making it very easy for us to do patchwork. It's certainly a relief to be done with galvanized pipes!

THING SERIOUSWe had a toilet back up.... I called my boss. He said call a plumber. I am a Angie's List member so I jumped on and saw them and called. Jeremy came VERY promptly and went to work. We could not find a main clean out.....so he pulled the toilet and put snake in that way. He was not sure where it was going so he said they would need to get a camera. He left. So this morning I waited till about 10:30 expecting them to show up where they left off. NOTHING....so I called. I get passed to someone else who says We cant get back till next Wensday...call Electric Drain at this number. I said THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE we have to have a bathroom here. "Oh and dont use the water" "Cameras cant see under water" Ummmmmm well that would have been helpful to know LAST NIGHT!" While the young man that came was very prompt and tried.....the LACK OF COMMUNICATION is appauling! Totally unacceptable to not communicate what the expectations and needs are!!!!!! I am FURIOUS and frustrated! I used this company based off of their rating. I work for a non profit and my boss gave me free reign to use who I thought best. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY......IF IT TURNS TO BE SOME SERIOUS THEY ARE GOING TO BAIL. When I called the referral number the gentleman that showed up hung his head and said "He wasnt surprised" This is my first time of having a bad experience with a top rated Angie's List company!
