+ -1 moreFull renovation. Want to upsize water/gas & replace my failed stop-and-waste. Called PP and asked to schedule an estimate. Lady asked about project. Explained the gist and she said she couldn't provide an estimate for that over the phone, but told me their hourly rate is $165 and that is per worker so double that if two were on job, etc. Pricey, but not unexpected for skilled labor. Scheduled a time and I met Rodney. He was knowledgeable & friendly. Explained in detail what I wanted, asked if it was feasible, etc. He said they could do the water part, but since the gas line is owned by Dominion Energy up to and including the meter, I'd have to talk to them about if the gas line and/or meter needed replacing. Called DE and got on the waiting list for a "pre-eval", and as Rodney recommended I sent an email to PP with all the details of the project and a sketch for clarity. While waiting for DE to get back to me I got an invoice for $165 in the mail from PP. I called PP and asked why
Description of Work: I got a bill and was told "we can't just send someone out and not bill for it". Explained I was never told there would be a charge for the estimate. They were completely unwilling to refund me, even partially. They *might* be able to deduct it from the final bill if I had the service performed. Since Rodney was great I decided to move forward and asked if they had looked at my email. Karen couldn't find it until I gave her the exact date and time I sent it and it was in the spam box. I asked her to mark it as "not spam" and that I'd follow up after DE got with me. DE told me that they needed to know the pressure going into the house and the total BTUs. The pressure was something the contractor knows. Called PP and asked. Deer in headlights response from Paul saying "We're not engineers." 3 days later I get a call from PP where they finally figured it out; it only has two values: 8oz or 2lbs. $165 estimates, Karen doesn't understand email, Paul doesn't understand natural gas. Avoid.

+ 0 moreWe called Plumbing Plus to check out a water leak in our crawl space. They advised that we needed a new water heater, so we ordered one. First, they brought the wrong size and then had to go back and get a different size, prolonging the project. When we sill had leaking water a week later, we found out the water in our crawl space was never due to a faulty water heater, it was due to a damaged water pump. I was angry enough to be pressured into a purchase of a water heater I didn't need, but then they charged us $100 service charge to come and verify the work they did. Not happy. Will never use again. Will recommend NOT to use them. When my husband called to dispute, he could only negotiate to half price of the service charge. If they won't even come out to review the work, how can I believe they will follow through on any warranty?

These guys stand by their work, make sure it's done right, and they do it quickly and at a great price. If I ever tear down my old house and rebuild- I will hire them to do all the plumbing! That would be their reward for dealing with my 110 year old plumbing for the past ten years. :)

+ -1 moreI had a drain installed by my water heater. A wet saw was used to cut the cement which was nice and there was less dust. The cement was cut, pipe and drain installed, and new cement poured all in the same day. The following week they came back to install a water heater drain pan. The work was well done and i was well pleased. They also changed our pressure regulator valve. I recommend plumbing plus.

+ 0 moreCons: We made the mistake of not asking for an estimate. The cost was outrageous! It was a small job. It didn't seem like he was here for the 2.5 hours he charged. We've had others repair the water heater, and the cost is always more than you think. But this was triple what we expected. Pros: He called me ahead and thoroughly discussed the needs, and gave me options for a new part we needed. He was very friendly on the phone.

A large plumbing company rated " B "on Angies List had just given me a bid for the problem at $4,800.00 and planned to jackhammer out my basement floor to replace a pipe after they did a camera exam. Daniel C . from Plumbers Plus saved me $4,600 and a week of construction. Wow, I am pleased. .

As usual with plumbing, nothing ever matches up, so parts were needed. It was a tight spot, but the faucet is installed correctly and doesn't leak. The plumber and shop workers were very friendly.

He replaced the segment of pipe that had corroded all the way through, and made sure the new pipe (and connections) didn't leak. We were highly satisfied with how prompt and effective the service was. The plumber was here for less than 2 hours,.
Description of Work: Our kitchen sink suddenly began draining into our wall, blistering the paint and buckling the hard wood floor. We needed a plumber to stop the leak.
