Plumbing Plus

Temperature pressure release valve started leaking last night. Called Plumbing Plus at about 8:15 am. Although their price was somewhat higher than a more-local competitor, it was not unreasonable and I chose them because they said that they could be here this same morning (meaning I wouldn't have to take as much time off of work). Plumber was on time, which I apprecaited. The dispatcher said that he would be here at 10:00, and he was within 5 minutes of scheduled time (extra time due to address miscommunication). Work took less than 1/2 hour, and (so far) seems well done. The plumber didn't leave any mess, and had a polite, friendly, and approachable manner. Also, I appreciated that he took an additional 10 minutes to answer my questions, and explained how to prevent problem in future.

Things went great. They did everything we asked, they were on time and they were professional. We needed them to move a drain and do some other work, and everything works great. We now have a finished bathroom.

A friend of my late husband helped install a new sink in my bathroom. I am widow who knows very little about plumbing. I just know that I had a mess on my hands. I called on Monday morning and explained that the sink was leaking and since I worked several jobs, could I get it fixed that day. They came that morning and completely replaced the drain (the previous work my husband had done did not help at all). They reinstalled the faucet and connected the sink. I was very happy with the work done and the price charged. Would definitely use them again

They had to dig 5 feet deep to get to the valve, manually - using shovels through the rocks and roots of the huge maple-tree nearby. Great job!

Great service. Called ahead and described the problem (old, leaky shower valve). They recommended an excellent replacement part, which I purchased ahead of time (not included in cost above). Job took longer than anticipated due to unforeseen complications with old plumbing. Professional all around. Recommend.

After getting 4 other quotes by phone, I called Plumbing Plus for a quote early Saturday morning (following the flood), and Paul came out that afternoon to take a look at the situation, and take some measurements to make sure everything would fit. Since they had to pick up a new water heater for me, the work had to wait until Monday, but they were at my house first thing in the morning (within the short window they gave me)! They took great care to not spill any dirty, rusty water out of the old unit when they removed it out of my basement and hauled it upstairs and out to their van. They had the new unit in, the pipes soldered, and everything running within 3 hours. My only complaint (and the reason for the B for Quality) is that once the pressure built in the water heater (after they were gone), a leak at one of the new solder connections sprang to life. I immediately called them, and they came right back to fix the problem (another hour). Despite this minor setback, I would definitely use them again. Their price was very fair (not the cheapest quote, but certainly not the most expensive) to begin with, and they knocked off $25 bucks when they were done (before we even knew about the leak!). They were the only ones that offered to come out right away to take a look at my situation and make certain they wouldn't run into any problems bringing a new water heater into my 30+yr old home. And they did the follow up service very willingly, correctly, and were very appologetic about it. I was left feeling very satisfied.

Very satisfied with the professionalism and work. They arrived on time and finished the job efficiently. The final price was same as the estimate. I will use Plumbing Plus again.

I requested an estimate from a reputable plumber that was referred to me from a local rooter company. The plumber, Paul, professionally conducted the estimate free. His estimate was significantly cheaper than other plumber's estimates. When the excellent plumbing job was done (very timely), the charge was again even less than the estimate. I thought it was Christmas. I was surprised, and happy with the outcome. I highly recommend Plumbing Plus, as the service was recommended to me.

Water was leaking into the basement of our 100 year old house. It was leaking at the water main shutoff inside the house. It was suggested that I could repair it myself. My total part cost was $18. Plumbing Plus offered to fix it for somewhat more but sure impressed me with there honesty, punctuality, and expertise. The fix was to chip out the concrete shelf around the pipe. I was told to verify that the pipe was still good below the concrete level. It was and so I was able to use a steel compression fitting to make a repair. Thanks

The appointment was set for 8:30-9:00 am to begin the work. I got a call at 9:10 from the plumber stating that he was on his way he arrived at 9:30am. He began work right away but informed me that I should keep my distance because he had the flu. He cut a hole in the ceiling in my bedroom where the main shut off valve is for my house. The hole he cut in my ceiling was in the wrong place. He had to cut a second hole in the wall. After removing the old bibs. He then said he had to leave to go and get the replacement pipes and access panels. He was gone for 1 hour and 45 min when he returned he replaced the bibs and turned on the water. He then charged me for 3 hours worth of work when in fact he had only been at my house for a little over 1 hour. I now have to hire someone to fix his mistake the hole in my ceiling.

I was very happy about their objective advice about what kind of water softener to use, helping me choose between cheap bottom of the line (Sears) and overpriced top of the line (Culligan), ending up with a very good local company's product (Pacific Water.) We have had it now for 2 weeks, and we are very happy with it's performance and extremely low use of salt.

They did a good job but took a while to get faucets correct.

For about 10 days, I had been going through several contractors that our home warranty company kept sending out. No one really wanted to get to the bottom of the problem, they just kept misdiagnosing the problem, without gathering sufficient evidence. At this point I decided to contact my own contractor, Plumbing Plus. They had scoped our pipes before when we bought the home, and everything looked good at that time. So they came out and went above and beyond trying to figure out the problem. They snaked the pipes several times, ran a camera, even went down to the city to find the plans for our house. They weren't leaving until they figured out the problem, which was a welcome change from the previous vendors. At the end of the day, they ended up having someone come jetter the pipe and that did the trick, cleared it out and figuring out it wasn't a broken pipe, like the others had said. So with others telling us we had a $10,000 problem on our hands, Plumbing Plus actually went through all the motions to figure out the real problem, which was fixed the same day they came out, which ended up costing us $300. And as a bonus they came out the next day to scope the pipes one more time just to make sure everything was in order. Without a doubt, I will always call Plumbing Plus first for any of my plumbing problems/needs.

They came quickly, around when they said they would. The job got finished and we haven't had leaky sinks since!

A very cordial man spent 90 minutes in my bathroom cleaning pebbles and debris from my pipes. Now I can shower with enough water pressure to get my hair wet.

The plumber was very easy to talk to. He explained what needed to be done and did all the work of draining the pipes without bothering me. He accomplished the task the first time and I really don't blame them that it leaked again. It seemed fixed and only leaked after a couple of days had gone by. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to have a plumber over to the house. It is no fun to have no water in a house!

I did not hear from them for two months until they finally sent me a notice. Estimate of $200.00.

They were very efficient. They keep in contact with me. I would recommend them to anyone who needed the services. They cleaned up well after themselves.

Needed to change original appointment for an emergency they had to respond to, so they reduced the bill by $10.00.

Two outside hose bibbs and copper swamp line had been damaged by freezing and tub valves and shower valves needed repairing. Plumber arrived on time and worked 5.66 hours. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He left the sites clean. The cost was $95 per hour, which was higher than other places I contacted, but they were able to schedule us in a couple of days rather than weeks. Overall, I was pleased with the work.

Brian appeared at my door at the appointed time, quickly figured out what was wrong and how to fix it. It's not Brian's fault that the builder installed the most obscure toilets possible and Brian had to leave to get a part. However, he returned promptly and things were quickly fixed. He was prompt, personable, neat and efficient. Rene, who answers the phone, was also very personable and helpful.

Renee in the office was very responsive and sensible on the phone in scheduling a time. She knew enough to give me a rough estimate based on what I told her. I had to reschedule, which they handled well. Within a couple days after the work was complete, one of the toilets was running without shutting off and making a hissing noise. We scheduled a second visit without argument and Renee indicated the work would be under warranty. On the second visit, Steve spent 5 minutes making a couple final adjustments, which may have been due to the manufacturer or home conditions. No questions asked. Both times, Steve arrived exactly on time.

I liked that they showed up on time and they were able to get the work done pretty fast. The price was fair and they knew what they were doing. I also thought that they were very polite and nice.
