Plumbing Plus

I contacted the business via email and asked about having a new kitchen faucet installed in a rental home. Paul called me promptly and explained possible complications with work done on older houses and gave me a rough estimate of cost. He seemed friendly and genuine. I first set an appointment then later asked them to wait because the tenant wanted a different style of faucet, which I then ordered online. When the fixture arrived, they were notified, and quickly installed the faucet and new short connecters in the wall. The final bill was less than I expected and my renter is very happy with the result. I will not hesitate to call them again if the need arises.

The plumber was scheduled to come out a couple days after I called. I said I wasn't in a hurry, or perhaps they would have come sooner. He arrived about 10 minutes early and got the job done in about an hour and a half. I thought he repaired it quickly, since it was galvanized pipe, and required two other pipes to be replaced. The repair worked great and he cleaned up afterwards. I am completely satisfied with the whole experience.

The drain pipe in my kitchen became blocked with ice during the cold snap we had in January. Most of the places I called gave answers along the lines of, "Hunh, drain pipes normally don't freeze" which was not much help. Plumbing Plus agreed to at least come out and take a look. The plumber showed up, assessed the situation, and ran a snake down to the block, but was ultimately unable to help (he did spend about an hour at least trying). We ended up cutting the siding off the outside of the house and using the heating cords designed to prevent pipes from freezing. After about 12 hours, drainage was restored. Plumbing Plus was helpful, friendly, and professional. And I'm sure if this was a "normal" plumbing problem they would have done a fine job. But $138 (after the Angie's List discount) to tell me "Yup, it's blocked" seemed like a bit much.

He could not fix the tub. Both the kitchen and guest faucet were not fixed correctly. I have to have then repaired a second time.

We had a flood in the middle of the night. Paul at Plumbing Plus is amazing, period. Not only did he talk me through how to stop the flow of water coming from the pipes in the middle of the night, he sent an amazing Plumber (Eric) to our home the next morning. This company and their personnel are fabulous. I would give them my highest recommendation and will be using them again soon for some additional plumbing needs.

The outside water faucet shut-off valve broke on a Saturday. Paul came out and capped it the same day and scheduled a repair for later in the week. Since I needed to have the valve fixed/replaced, I decided to have other work that I had been putting off done as well. All repairs were completed in one day. I thought I would need to replace shower fixtures, but they were able to repair the valve instead saving me money. Everything works great and they even cleaned up after they were through with the work.

Office personnel were very knowledgeable and friendly describing their products and options. The installation was on time and done well with no hitches. Service technician was friendly, polite, and prompt and even answered my questions about some other plumbing in the house.

Plumbing Plus was the second company we hired to find the mystery of our clogged kitchen drain. The first company was not successful and wanted to jackhammer out the basement floor to get to the pipe. The first company sent a snake down the drain from the roof and it only managed to make a complete stoppage. Plumbing Plus got to the bottom of the problem and didn't have to destroy the floor. It seems that back in 1940 when the house was built, a shoddy workman had not sealed the drain joint with "oakum" before pouring in the lead seal so molten lead had poured out of the bottom of the joint and left a lot of lead "puddles". The lead blobs had formed a pile that completely blocked the drain. The plumber cut the pipe close to the basement floor, drained the foul black standing water out of the pipe fished out as many of the lead blobs as he could reach with a wire and hook. He installed a "Y" clean a few inches above the basement floor so we have access from that instead of having to go on the roof to clean out the pipe. We have never had the kitchen sink drain as freely as it does now. The basement is completely carpeted and the plumber did a good job in covering the carpet with cardboard. He drilled a hole in the pipe to let out the foul, standing water and not a drop got on the carpet.

I called a couple businesses from Angie's List and apprised them of the situation. None of the other companies seemed to care much and stated they would come give me a quote and the quickest I could get anyone out way about 8 hours later. When I called Plumbing Plus I got something I didn't expect. The lady I spoke with (Renee) actually cared and took the time to dive deeper into my situation and suggest alternatives, mainly trying to snake the lines from the roof. She was able to get someone out in about 3 hours. The plumber was a contracted out I think but he was just as great. He spent quite awhile on the roof snaking and I was starting to second guess my decision when he got the clog and the water drained. He was also able to fix a persistent leak from under the sink that we have tried to get fixed multiple times before with no success. He had it fixed in 2 seconds. Overall this company was great! No complaints at all. Very fast, professionalism, clean, and overall good people. If you have any plumbing issues I would highly recommend.

I have a sewer main that requires regular jetting. I have used Plumbing Plus in the past and have been very satisfied with their work. My most recent experience required them to use another company to jet my sewer because their equipment wouldn't work under the cold temperature at the time. Electric Plumbing was the company called to do the job. They left a huge mess in my basement, sewage water all over the floor and the clean out plug left just sitting off to the side, leaving the clean out uncovered. When I first saw the mess I assumed they weren't done with job and would be back to finish up. I called Rene at Plumbing Plus to find out what was going on at which time she explained to me that they were done and didn't have a shop vac on their truck to clean it up so they just left the mess. Not okay! Rene immediately called one of their own techs and got my basement cleaned up as soon as possible in a very satisfactory manner. Bottom line, you can count on Plumbing Plus for excellent service even when their subcontractors fall extremely short. Highly recommended!

When I remodeled my bathroom 11 years ago, Paul handled the whole thing, start to finish, with his usual efficiency and care. I recently approached Paul about having my tub replaced with a shower. He and his office manager, Rene, have handled the entire project, coordinating all the contractors needed to do the job, again with their usual efficiency. They are so wonderful to work with. Paul was recommended to me 23 years ago, by an attorney I worked for. With the exception of one midnight emergency, I've used Paul exclusively for my plumbing needs ever since. He never disappoints.

I called at first to ask about an estimate for replacing a pipe at our house, but since they didn't know the answer right then they said they'd call me back. They never did so I had to call THEM back to find out that such a procedure would cost over $1300! (Even when other companies give me estimates worth half that...) They never even came over to check the extent of the work; they just gave carelessly gave me that lousy estimate. I then realized that this company doesn't care about its potential customers and I definitely won't recommend it.

The leak in the basement was so huge. I didn't realize it was leaking because I am 71 and do not go downstairs frequently. I looked up plumbers on your site. This plumber was in my neighborhood area and was able to respond immediately. I found him dependable and helpful. He really had to work hard to get at the problem due to the location of the vent. He was a life saver.

I am very pleased with the service, quality, and communication of Plumbing Plus! They arrived the day after my call (2-3 days faster than their competition) and completed the project within an hour. They took care to clean up after the repair, even re-caulking the toilet! Their price was ~1/2 that of the next bid and I feel that their quality surpassed thee competition. They came right away and stayed until the problem was solved. The workers were courteous and professional. There was a leaking issue after they left, but they came right back out and fixed it which I appreciated.
