Exceptional service.

Carpet installers were skilled and timely. The tile installation and grouting team were artistic, timely, pleasant, and very good in using their skills. Highly recommend both of these tradesmen and Kahlia Flooring and Design Center.

It was great. I like them a lot. The meeting was great. He went out of his way to be really good at his presentation. It’s just my floors aren’t going to be needed to be replaced for almost a year. So that was even better that he would spend that much time. He was really good. He was very prompt. He spent a long time with me to show me samples and options. It was really good. His reviews was outstanding.

Very nice guy, just didn't seem to have his act together. I'm sure they've done fine work for others, but we didn't have a smooth run with them and decided not to continue doing business with them.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! From the first time we walked into the showroom and spoke with Scott about our flooring needs, it was clear that we were dealing with a knowledgeable and experienced professional who wanted to ensure that we were taken care of. My wife and I were both impressed with the immediate knowledge he had of the products he offered and his willingness to walk through the showroom with us to compare the value and quality of different carpets. We're in the process of buying a new house and, as a condition of the purchase, had to have the carpet replaced and the house appraised before we could close. In order to meet our settlement deadline, we had a fairly strict timeline to work under and Scott was confident that he'd be able to meet our timeline. As the process progressed, due to various delays, our timeline became increasingly condensed and Scott was able to work his magic and do everything he could to meet our needs every time we threw a new ridiculous deadline at him. Additionally, because of the extent of the damage to the existing carpet, I needed to treat the subfloors before the new carpet went down and, to accomodate me, he had his installer come tear out the carpet and haul it away a few days before the scheduled install to give me time to do what I needed to. His installer, Jeff, was very professional and he took time as he was tearing out the old carpet to point out trouble spots on the subfloor. He completed the installation within his estimated timeframe and did a great job! The new carpet looks great and we will definitely go back to Scott with flooring projects we have planned for the future!

We were having company in town, wanted to take care of this before they came. We went to Kalia (got it from Angies list) on a Monday, met Scott, picked the carpet. Scott came to our house did the measurement and ordered the carpet on Tue. The carpet arrived on Fri. His team installed it for us on Sat.and following Mon. So everything was done in a week. We are very happy with the result.

The price was in line with other estimates I received in Utah County, which were more professional and comprehensive. I could not risk such a simple job turning into such a long process. Kalia offered smaller plank, Birch (softer) wood and ceramic 12" tiles. I went with Floorcraft Designs in Lehi and have superior products! Wide plank, Hickory wood (hard/durable) and porcelin 20" tiles. Love the new floors!

This job went very well from start to finish. Scott came to measure 7:30am in order to fit my schedule, he gave us very detailed bid on the job, and his price was very competitive. They were busy at the time but he managed to get his guys here several days before schedule, and his installation team was awesome, did an excellent job on our floor and shower, and tried their best to accomodate our needs to the fine details(like increase the tile area in the entrance and shower wall). We ended up using more tiles than originally bid, but Scott did not charge us for that, we really appreciate it! If we have tile jobs again, I'll have no hesitation calling Scott again! He dropped the flooring off and was really nice. I installed the wood flooring myself and then I used another subcontractor to install the carpets that he recommended. His prices were great. We went to three or four stores and he was so helpful on both the price and the carpets itself that we ended up buying most of our stuff through him just because he was so useful. He is the owner and the company is little, but he worked with us really well and bent over backwards to do what he could in order to help me with my project. He's not a installer and doesn't do installs, but he had a sub and rented us the equipment for the wood floors. I rented them from him for a week for super cheap. He already had his floor nailer rented out and it was supposed to be back but it wasn't, so he actually went and got it from somebody else and then dropped it off to me which was kind of above and beyond what you would expect someone to do. He was very responsive and a very professional guy.

Responsiveness, work ethics, dependability: Scott was the most responsive of any contractors we considered ? always returned calls within a few minutes, if not available immediately. Some others, well known locally, companies were difficult to reach if we had questions. Some never even come back with estimates, or took days longer. Scott was never late (in fact a few minutes earlier) for all meetings. He delivered on every promise. He never sent sub-contractors to us without coming with them. He kept us informed of every step of the process for stages not visible to us. For example, when a granite slob yard delivered to manufacturer warehouse, etc. It was important for us to see if we?re on schedule and progress is made. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of various options for the kind of wood, treatment, color, etc. Billing: There were no hidden charges, he billed us exactly what we've agreed to before signing the contract. He pointed out where we can save (for example using remnants of the granite instead of buying an extra slab, or using a carpet with smaller pattern to avoid having to pay for extra carpet that would be discarded after pattern matching). He always checked the work before billing. He was very clear on all estimates with optioned itemized and priced separately to allow us to make more informed choices. His prices were very competitive and he explained the differences between his and lower bids. In our case, the other company did not include the price of one step in a hard wood floor installation, resulting in seemingly lower rate. Hard wood floors: Scott offered expert advice, explained the differences between types of wood and treatment and helped us find the best option. One thing that concerned us was that he asked to keep the wood in a house for acclimating for 2 weeks. Everyone else we considered recommended 1 week. Shorter time sounded appealing as we would finish the project earlier. However, after lots of research, we believe Scott had our interest in heart ? more acclimation time avoids problems in the future, less gaps between planks, etc. He could chose to finish the job in less time and get paid earlier, but he did not take shortcuts. The floors turned out beautiful and were done on time and budget. Quality of granite and carpet installation was excellent and on time. We highly recommend Kalia and Scott.

We had some laminate flooring we had bought on sale at HomeDepot over a year ago and had never installed and they came in July and installed it upstairs for a bedroom and hallway including four doorways. Did an extremely good job on the corners and transitions. We decided to go ahead and buy hardwood flooring from them and this last week they came an put it in our front room and entry way. Very flexible and punctual In addition to quality work they were very conscientious in cleaning everything up afterwards. We definitely plan on using them again.

Scott was great to work with. I will be putting my house on the market soon and I am doing it from out of state so I am extra grateful that he helped me pick out the best carpet for the house. He originally advised me to go with a slightly darker shade of beige (to hide any dirt) and when he got there with the actual carpet, ready to install, he called to let me know that it looked a bit dark in my basement and that he would advise I change to the lighter color. I was very grateful that he let me know and went back to the store and switched out the carpet. My tenants are very pleased with the job he did and the choice of carpet he picked. I look forward to seeing it when I return to Utah and see my house. Thank you Scott!

Nice selection of good quality carpets at the storeroom. Scott knows his stuff. Install was performed on the date promised and the carpets look (and feel!) great.

This is my second time using Kalia this year. Their prices are great and they're very easy to work with. I'm a DIY homeowner and earlier in February this year I bought about 5000 dollars worth of hardwood and carpet remodeling my upstairs. My wife and I shopped a lot back then and eventually stumbled into Kalia. Their prices were unbeatable on the hardwood we wanted. Tile and carpet prices seem to be about as cheap as it gets too. Plus their service was great. Scott even delivered my hardwood for a nominal fee earlier this year. When we decided we were going to remodel our downstairs we knew we were going to go with Kalia. It was easy return business for them.

They provided great customer service and showed me lots of choices. They gave me many options and crushed everyone else I quote froms prices.
