These people are fantastic to work with. Installing a new roof is a big worry. These people are trust worthy and you can count on them to do a good job. Mr. Adam Cordon the owner of company came down to give me a bid. I had already got two bids so I was ready with all my questions. He was on time and is a very pleasant individual. We spent about 3 hours going over my questions and inspecting the roof. He had also brought his credentials package, roof systems literatures, and samples. He answered all my concerns and offered some suggestions due to the high snow amount we receive in this area. His price was very competitive and inline with others as I had done my home work. I felt good enough to sing a contract with him on the spot! His tear-off crew was fast his installers were very experienced. The foreman of the crew (Gary) was also very pleasant and good to work with. Actually the entire crew was pleasant and good to work with. Although the job took a little longer than it was expected, it was quality work. I am an engineer and a little more picky than others, but they addressed all the little things that I wanted done. At the end, one piece of gutter was damaged, but they replaced it at no cost to me. The clean up job was fantastic. I highly recommend these people and will do work with them again.

The company representative, Rob Fullerton, was very professional and courteous. Of all the estimates I recieved, he was the only one to add a senior discount, which I did not even think to ask about. I felt he did a very good job. The tear-off included taking the old swamp cooler off and repairing the hole where the cooler had been. After the tear-off, another person came to take off the gutters at the same time the roofers were installing the new roof. Once they had completed everything, they swept twice for more nails, and the person who installed the gutters and downspouts came. The person who came to take the gutters off advised that I needed extra vents under the soffits, and Rob added then without extra charge. He also advised that I use ridge cap shingles rather than use turtle vents, and the ridge caps appear to be working well to help circulate the air under the roof. A final check was made to make sure all was well, and I was told to call them at any time should there be a problem. I do have some issues with the tear-off crew. It was very hot that day and understandably not an easy job. I did not mind losing some of the new plants by my house, and I realize that some damage does occur due to falling shingles, even to established plants. However, I have a gazebo which they unscrewed and moved, which was appreciated, however, the screws which secured the metal to the base were left in a dry patch of grass and not discovered until the lawn was next mowed. It wasn't hard to reattach, but it would have been nice to know that it had not been reattached, since there had been a lot of wind that week. I also know they "swept" the area for nails (I think with a magnet, but am unsure) but the family is still finding nails in the grass, an issue because I have grandchildren running constantly through the backyard. Overall, I think they did a good job, and they did it for the exact estimate they originally gave me.

They did an excellent job. Just a few minor problems. Dripped power steering fluid on the driveway, ABC Supply, the people who delivered the shingles, broke a large limb off a tree that grew along the driveway. Also the tear off crew should have taken a picture of the existing heat cable before tearing it off so that the shingle crew could put it back on once the new shingles were installed.

He was very thorough and professional. He came the day after I contacted him. He was also the most affordable of all the companies that I got estimates from.

The price of the roof was exactly the same as the estimate and there were no extras or other unusual items. The removal of the old roof started exactly when they said it would and the workers showed up on time each day of the process.Cleanup and disposal of the old gravel roof was done very nicely and there was not any additional cleanup that we had to do. A sewer vent pipe was knocked loose during the removal of the old roof and Fortress very quickly brought in an outside plumber to fix the problem. The membrane roof was installed over about a three day period and the workmen worked very hard and long hours to get the job done. Unlike the highway workers there was no one standing around leaning on a shovel. Again cleanup was alost immaculate and there was no job debris left on the premises. All in all a great job!

They got here in a timely way and they did the work as I expected them to do. It was professionally done. They showed up on time and I was happy with the quality of the work.

We started our relationship Back in december when we needed estimates for our roof due to wind damage from a storm. I call it a relationship because Adam was there every step of the way from the onset. We had 8 different bids to make the best decision for us, and Fortress was heads and shoulders above the rest every step of the way. From the initial time the employees showed up at our home they were on time, very aware of overall surroundings, answered all questions we had. Their knowledge and attitude with me was great, the roofers (Juan and Marteen) did a fantastic job and spoke highly of the company. They (the roofers) did not mind that I was around asking questions as they were working not once making me feel like I was bothering them and always explaining in a way I could understand. The work done included sheathing, ice shield, underlayment, lifetime architectural shingles, drip edge, and ridge vent system. Every bit of the work was excellently executed and performed. Would I recommend them? ABSOLUTELY!

Corey with Fortress Roofing did the estimate which was much lower than competition in the area. As I manage this property from out of state it is very important to find reliable and honest people to work with. I am very pleased with the outcome and will definitely call on Fortress again.

Our house is only about 12 years old, so we were surprised to notice a stain on the ceiling that meant the roof was leaking. Based on location of the stain, we thought it must be a flashing problem. We called Fortress and Rob showed up right on time. After checking out the roof, he confirmed that there was a very small leak in the corner of the flashing located under an eave that would leak intermittently (due to location) only when the wind and rain conditions were just right, which was the reason the leak hadn't show up a lot sooner. Rob said the hole was small enough that we could just fix it with caulking rather than do an expensive repair, and fixed it on the spot for free. Not only was this great service, but it demonstrated integrity because Rob could have done a more expensive repair and we would have been none the wiser.

I originally contacted Fortress in July,2011, and the estimator, Cory Furhiman, called me back the next day to set an appointmnt. He arrived on time for the estimate, and did both an exterior and attic inspection, then produced an estimate within a few minutes, including the 5% Angie's List discount. I felt that his questions and inspection were professional and thorough. I contactedFortress with the go ahead in early October. Although there was a slight delay in getting work started, due to weather and some other jobs already underway, Cory kept in close touch by phone,and when the actual date was scheduled, the crew arrived right on time. The old roof was removed in only one day, and the crew did a great job cleaning up all the debris, even blowing out the air conditioner outside unit after I requested that they do so. They were polite, efficient, and worked fast. The new roof was completed in less than 2 days, and this crew was also punctual, polite and efficient. Again, they made sure that all debris was cleaned up, and asked if anything else was needed. Cory came by as the project was nearing comletion, to inspect the job and make sure I was completely satisfied. I appreciated his demeanor and concern. I would definitely use Fortress again!

Rob and his crew did a great job. They had a break in their schedule, so they got it done a couple of weeks ahead of the original schedule. They were informative about what they were doing, courteous, and efficient. They did a great job cleaning up. And their price was considerably less than other estimates we got. Overall we are very satisfied--even two years after the work was done!

Great! The day scheduled was put off by one day due to a storm. The next day the crew was ready to go on time and the old roofing was removed. Areas of the roof damaged previously were replaced and a primary covering was in place prio to the first crew leaving that afternoon. The next day, the shingles were delivered after the crew arrived. Once the shingles were there, the insallation crew began work and reported careful updates through thier progress. The gutters etc were completed on the third day just in time for several huge storms. A super job!

The fortress roofing crew did an excellent job. They took thier time to do the job right.

On the day scheduled to replace the roof it rained so they could not start the job but the first good day they were replacing the roof. They had a large enough crew so it went pretty quickly. They tore off the old roof the first day and put down the underlayment. The second day they installed the new shingles and everything looked fine. Several days later the foreman came back and looked over the roof and asked if I had concerns at all. I was happy with the service and we have not had any problems at all with the new roof.

We chose this company due to their competitive price. Overall, our experience with Fortress Roofing was extremely frustrating, though in the end the job was done and everything got resolved. First off, after paying our deposit and signing a contract, we were told that "the workers will arrive in a few weeks", but without any further notice, we were surprised early one morning about 3-4 weeks later when the workers finally showed up. The person who made the offer and brought the contract told us that he'd be supervising the project, but he ended up being away during the time of our project and no one was sent in his place to act as supervisor. Tear-off took about a day, and only one of the workers spoke English (he introduced himself when they arrived), but there weren't any problems... until they left, and trash was everywhere on our lawn and driveway. Only after our request was this picked up. A new crew came shortly thereafter to install the shingles, which took a few days, again without any problems... until they left, and trash was everywhere, and now included nails all over our yard and driveway. We called to have someone come pick up the nails, which apparently was done, though we couldn't verify since we were gone that day. Afterward, we were still finding many, many nails, and called Fortress again. This time we were home, and a crew of about 5 guys came by with their rolling magnets, finding numerous handfuls (hands cupped together) of nails strewn all over our property. About a month or two later, our skylight leaked - half a bucket's worth of water in 10 minutes. We called Fortress and they sent a guy out who said "the skylights weren't properly sealed - there's a large hole and there's where the water came in from". We called Fortress again, who claimed "it wasn't their fault" and that "the skylights weren't properly installed" - though they hadn't leaked once before in the years we've lived here. We filed a claim with our homeowner's insurance, who somehow convinced Fortress that, yes, they were responsible. The insurance company sent out a disaster recovery team to repair the inside water damage to the tune of about 10 separate visits and several thousand dollars. Fortress sent a guy out to repair the "holes". He wasn't terribly professional but got the job done and took the photos of his work that we had requested. At the time we signed the original contract, we mentioned we had a few minor outdoor home improvement projects, and were told they could take care of them "for $200-$300 plus materials, which won't be much (a few pieces of wood, nails, etc.)". Without having been told that there were any major unexpected problems, we were shocked to receive a bill for $900. Additionally, we were told that these projects (included on our contract) would be done at the time of the re-roofing, and they didn't occur until weeks later, and only because of our phone calls wondering what the hold-up was for. Moreover, there were several mistakes with our bill, which took many phone calls to resolve. This included the carpentry project as well as being charged for roofing our garage, which was included in the initial contract though we ultimately decided to not have the garage included -- though we were still billed for this. When we called Fortress several times to explain that we would pay our bill after the figures were corrected, nobody answered so we left messages for them to return our calls. No one ever called us back, so we didn't pay our bill. A few months later, the owner contacted us about our bill. We told him the numbers were incorrect, and he said he'd take care of it and send a new bill. No new bill ever arrived, and a few months later the owner contacted us again. Same story. The guy ended up arranging an appointment to come to our house to talk in person. As you can imagine, we were extremely frustrated with our experience with Fortress, but were willing to pay what we owed once we saw it in writing. The owner said he'd take care of it, and did return to our home again, this time with a corrected bill including an acceptable compromise on the carpentry work. The only reason I gave them a "D" and not an "F" is because the work ultimately all got done.

The service was excellent. They always kept me up to date, walked me through what needed to be done, and did a fantastic job. They investigated our issue, recommended a course of action, and delivered on their promises. I would definitely use them again.

Fortress was great to work with. They showed up on time, were respectfull and clean when they did their work, and I got a good roof out of it. They cleaned up their worksite each day and left their equipment organized and out of the way. I have a $100,000 business job comming up that I only trust them to do.

The responsiveness to my inquiry was very rapid and the job was completed rapidly, considering constant delays due to snow/rainstorms. The most gratifying aspect of the experience for us was the fact that when weather caused a delay, the company phoned and kept in touch regularly. The workers were punctual and the work area was left spotless at the end of each day. The quality of the work was outstanding! I highly recommend this business.

They did an excellent job. They were fast and efficient. They were friendly and cleaned up really well. I think they left my yard nicer than when they started. They went above and beyond and they seemed very knowledgeable. They were actually the cheapest of the estimates that we got. They were very punctual. We would absolutely use them again.

It went very well for the most part. (The gutter installation part of the company is now called Gutterpros, by the way. Same address and phone number as Fullerton Exteriors.) Ryan did a very good job of explaining the job, the materials and the process. My house had some particular drainage issues that he addressed, including installing a downspout for a rain barrel. (Yes they are legal in Utah, despite what you've heard. But that's another long story.) The only glitch of the job was that on the appointed day of installation, Ryan found out that the color I had wanted was not going to be available from his supplier. We rescheduled the install day so that I could pick out another color (since I was out of town.) We finally did get it all sorted, and the installation went well, and so far I'm really happy with the results.

They were done very quickly, and there were no cost surprises. We had an estimate Monday morning, and had everything completely fixed by Thursday morning. They even handled a very last-minute request (replacing existing, broken attic vent fans) with no difficulties. I will definitely be calling them again, when we need to re-roof down the road.
