Description of Work: There are limited choices in Pleasant Grove. They came, set up the cable and internet, only two connections to house. They did replace the cable to the house and the two connections inside, but then gave us a used cable box. The installation was well done, but the used box broke within three days. They couldn't come out for three days, then changed the day they were coming to a different day without letting us know. When we weren't there because of the changed day, they wouldn't come out for another three days, so one week total. Customer service on the phone was extremely rude. |Internet speed is definitely not what was advertised, but is decent speed. Overall, they get a 'C' grade. If there were more to choose from, service might improve. As it is, we are stuck with them for the year.

Description of Work: The first installer attached the box to the built in cable outlet and said it was connected but it did not work. The second installer found out the home wires were not connected to the outlet. | |I found the "special" deals cost a lot more than advertised by the time you pay for boxes. Taxes, fees etc. | |And last there are a lot of junk tv channels that I never watch. I could do with a lot less and be happier for less money

Description of Work: I have had multiple negative experiences with comcast. Unfortunately we have a internet / phone / TV package. I would never use this company again. It is extremely expensive. Their service is terrible. Our internet was down and it took them more than a week to come fix the problem. I spend hours on the phone (on hold) every time I try to speak with someone. All I want now, is a new comcast box to hook up a new TV to cable. I have been trying to contact someone by phone for WEEKS, but am put on hold, transferred to outsourced offices. It is an absolute nightmare. My next goal is to figure out how to cancel comcast. They are terrible

+ 0 moreI had cancelled the contract with another company and selected Comcast. The speed of my internet is better and I got a good deal. Their office is very close to my home and I can go there and ask them to help me. The most experienced technician works with me. The technician who came in was very proactive. He ensured everything was working fine. He came down to do the cable but he answered some of my internet questions. I took some of his time for that but, didn't charge me anything for that.
Description of Work: We use Comcast for both cable and internet services. The last time I used their services was a technician came down to my house and he activated some of the cable ports.

+ -1 moreWhen we moved into our condo in Cedar Hills Comcast had service all around our complex even directly across the street. I called about service and received no information about when and if they could serve our units. The HOA group contacted the company and were promised that a representative would come out and meet with our group. They did not show up for the meeting. I called once again and was told that Comcast would be serving our area soon but did not have any idea when. Two years later no Comcast and we are still waiting! Many have gone to the other service providers and given up on Comcast.
Description of Work: We asked for information about service for our area and were pretty much just blown off.

+ 1 moreWe tried satellite once in our house but it just did not work in our area so we keep coming back to Comcast. The experience is great and we have probably had them in our house for about 20 years. The service has generally been good and I will use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreI saw this ad for high speed Internet service and figured it had to be better than what I had, so I called on it and scheduled Comcast to come out and set me up. I also had a rebate to send in so the modem was free and I would only have to pay $24.99 for the first six months. I had no problems scheduling them to come out and set me up and then did pretty quick. However, they said they would come and bury the cable line in the next week or so and it took a few calls to them and about 6 weeks before they came and buried it. The rebate was a bit of a pain to send in because you had to send in your bill and the UPC from the modem, and stuff like that, but since the Internet worked great and it was a decent rebate I did it anyways.
Description of Work: Comcast came out and ran a cable line and hooked up high speed Internet service. They checked to make sure the service worked and billed me for the next month and the installation.

+ -1 moreThey gave a window of 1-5pm, he showed up at 6:15pm, and it took about an hour for this simple service. I was not impressed, and if there were ANY other broadband services in Salt Lake, I'd try it. While he seemed like he was working quickly, it seemed to take a long time. He was, however, courteous but did not clean up any cable cuttings.
Description of Work: A rep. came to reconnect service in the house I had just purchased. He cut the old tips & replaced and added an extension on the 1 connection. The price reflects free install due to a special offer and that I had my own cable-modem for broadband offers (check broadbandoffers.com!)
