The repairman called and said he would be 15 minutes late but did come at the 15 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a sock that had worked its way through the filter and had obstructed a fan from turning. He was done and out in 20 minutes. He was friendly, courteous and efficient. I also appreciated his honesty and not repairing something that didn't need to be repaired. With the 10% coupon from Angies list I felt great about the price. I will definitely use them again in the future.

On time, in and out in 20 minutes.

The repairman (I forgot his name) opened the lower panel in the front of the dishwasher and turned on the unit. Water sprayed out everywhere. He called a parts provider who basically told him I would need a new dishwasher tub. The repairman told me that was about as expensive as a new dishwasher. Where the water was coming from wasn't replaceable. He called another dishwasher repair person who told him to check and see if there was some sort of blockage in the waterline. Sure enough the waterline hose was being clogged by a build up of minerals in my hard water. Water softener system had been installed several months ago so this won't happen again. Once cleaned out - no more leaking! By his perserverance this repairman saved me the cost of a new tub or a new dishwasher!!

Both times the repairman gave me a 2-hr window in which he would be to my house, and both times he arrived right at the beginning of the scheduled appointment. I was very satisfied with the work done and would recommend American Appliance to others needing an appliance repairman.

Joe has made two visits to our house for repairs this month - one for dishwasher and one for washing machine. The washing machine failure turned out to be a big deal, and with Joe's help, I got the parts covered under warranty to all I had to do was pay for labor. Whirlpool helped immensely and covered it under the expired warranty, thanks to Joe's explanation to them of what failed. These guys are on time, professional, honest and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thanks Joe!!

My dishwasher handle had been broken for over a year - I watched a YouTube video on how to fix it myself - decided I'd rather pay someone else to fix it. The dishwasher repairman was kind, quick and efficient. I had not scheduled a filter cleaning but noticed it was terribly dirty from years of use. He said he'd be happy to clean it for us. No extra charge. So happy with the price and service. Thanks American Appliance.

Service was provided by Kris. He originally diagnosed a problem with the oven sensor and order the part. It arrived within a couple of weeks as he had projected. He returned and installed the part, calibrated the equipment, and made sure everything was working correctly. We have had no problems with the oven since his repairs. Both Kris and the woman I dealt with over the phone at the American Appliance office were curteous and pleasant. They provided good advice, prompt service, and a reasonable price. I would recommend them for applilance service.

They have fixed our upright commercial size freezer. They were professional, on time and everything works great.

The technician was at my door within three hours of my initial call with the correct part which he installed in under twenty minutes. This was after being quoted double by another company which claimed the part would have to be ordered in if I didn't "act quickly" as they only had one in stock. I HIGHLY recommend this company. You won't get any B.S. about how the last house they were at had the same problem and so you need to replace some random part.

When I called they put me in touch with a technician to discuss the problem, which I did. They gave me an immediate estimate for the repair including the service call. He said the repair was not likely to exceed $95 which surprised me considering it included a service call. They showed up and completed the troubleshooting and repair within 3 hours-the cost was $69. He also tightened some hoses. There was much opportunity for a less honest company to make more money here-American minimized the cost to me and fixed the problem. I will call only them in the future with any problems I have with my major appliances.

My dryer was not heating, the machine seemed to be working in every other way. I did some research online and it seemed like the problem was the heating element. I also found a couple videos that showed me how to replace it and also buy the part. I have taken apart my washer and fixed a pump, but the dryer looked like a whole different beast, so I decided that it might be a good idea to have somebody come out and take a look. I called like 3 companies one of which did not work on frigidaire brands. The other 2 were both a week out,at that point I went on Angie'sList and saw that American Appliance had good reviews, so I set an appointment with them. Once the tech looked at it he assured me the problem was not the heating element, he went on to tell me that gas dryers do not use a heating element, so good thing I didn't try taking it apart! the problem was the ignition needed to be replaced. The invoice was well itemized and with Angie'sList coupon I couldn't have been more happy!

Cory returned a few days later, on time, and tested the existing hoses by running the dishwasher for a few minutes. It turned out that the problem wasn't the hoses, the another part that was loose, and he used plumbers putty to seal in around the other part and tightened it. He suggested we test that for a few days to see if that resolved the problem. If not, he will come back and install the new hoses. Very impressed because (a) could have installed both $40 hoses and charged me for them regardless of what the real issue was, (b) said he'd return to fix within 30 days without charging service call. All of this for $55 less 10% coupon for Angie's list member. Very professional, prompt, and a nice guy.

Joe, American's service guy, came to my home at the time stated, he performed the service as was needed and did not try and upsell me on anything. He did mention that the furnace needed cleaning and he was right as I haven't touched it in years. I had to ask him about their prices on new furnaces, AC etc.. These guys are very legit, offer a quality and HONEST service. I also have a friend of mine who owns rental properties who uses American exclusively.

The service tech showed up within the appointment window and quickly diagnosed the problem with our washer. A foreign object had been sucked into the impeller and destroyed the discharge pump. A new pump had to be ordered so we made a follow up appointment for 3 days later. Once again the tech showed up during the agreed upon appointment widow and installed the new pump.

I was very impressed with American Appliance. When I called for an appointment, the contact was courteous and professional. I was assured that the repairman would call me 30 minutes ahead so I could meet him, whic he did. When I arrived home, I found that electrical power was down in the neighborhood and was concerned that he would be wasting his trip. The repairman, however, was very friendly and professional and determined to make the situation work. He diagosed the problem with the tools that he had that didn't require electricity and quoted me a price. I told him to proceed, which he did quickly. He then reduced the price because he said he'd normally have defrosted the freezer for me, but since he couldn't do that without electrical help, he wouldn't charge me full price. The entire service call lasted less than an hour and the refrigerator is working perfectly now. Kudos!!

They did a good job, they were very prompt and I was pleased with the results.

American called me promptly to advise the part was in, and offered to have Cory come back that same day to repair the washer! (I was expecting 2-3 days at the soonest). He came, installed the part and made sure the washer was running properly, all within about 20 minutes. After this exceptional level of service, he discounted our final cost because we unstacked the appliances, so he didn't have to. Talk about a great company!! We were prepared to have to purchase a new washer, but instead, we had an outstanding repair experience. I would recommend American Appliance to anyone, and honestly, given the chance, I will recommend them!

My freezer wasn't freezing all the way and they came out and fixed it in about 15 min. The problem was a build up of dust inside the panal. All he had to do was dust off the inside and that did the trick. He told me that I could do it myself if the problem returned in the future. I was happy that they gave me the Angie's List discount. The only thing he could have done differently was clean up the dust on the floor afterwards, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

I have used them several times. I always ask for Joe because he is so good. He always cleans up so nicely and does a great job.

We were given a time between 3:00 and 5:00. He arrived at 10 min. before 5:00 just as we were sitting down to dinner. Otherwise every thing went smoothly.

I was very pleased with them. I called American Appliance and another highly rated appliance repair company from Angie's list. I gave them both the model number. American Appliance called me back shortly after with a quote. I accidenly was off my one number on the model number but they were able to overcome and gave me a very nice price. The other company never called me back. When the gentleman came to replace the door boot he gave me some advice to keep the mold down in the washer. Hopefully it will work. He was nice and courteous.

When I called to make an appointment, I spoke with Tiffany. She was very nice and was able to find a time that fit my schedule. She advised me that Corey would come out between 9am and 11am. Corey showed up right at 9am and was done in about 23 minutes. Corey asked me for a shallow pan so the water wouldn't leak. When he was done, he showed me how to clean out the filter myself and how to get the panel off. Thank you so much! I will call again if the need arises.

We had a leak in our refrigerator from the time we purchased it, that just got worse. I decided to call American Appliance. . .that was a great decision. The repairman was very through, explained everything and did his job. His clean-up was superior, never had a repairman do such an amazing job! We will definitely refer and use this company again. Thank you so much.

Our GE high efficiency washing machine wasn't draining and would quit working mid-cycle. I knew the problem was most likely that the drain pump screen was clogged. Unfortunately, last time this happened, the technician (from a different company), charged $150 (and told me that it should have been over $200). I was worried about having the same experience. I shouldn't have worried because American Appliance was phenomenal! Joe came right when I expected and showed me exactly how to clean the filter myself when this happens again (because it will). He even explained why high efficiency washers tend to have this problem. He was so helpful and very thorough. Really, I can't recommend this company enough. I will be a customer for life!
