Plumb Crazy

Went Well. Performed on time and as promised.

Plumb Crazy should adjust the area where he works. It states Utah county, which is where I live but he told me to get someone else.

Ken at Plumb Crazy is always very responsive and personable. He does things well and charges me a fair price.

I have used them previously. I have found them to be very dependable and they do excellent work. I would use them again. In fact I have already called them about an issue I’d like them to look at.

I called him and told him that our basement had been flooded, and that it was a common problem. I told him that we would need the exit pipe cleaned out again and that we'd need a camera to see what the issue was. He said that he would find someone to come over. He showed up in about 15 minutes. After working on it for a while, he pulled me over to show me the camera view of the drain pipes. After explaining everything to me, we went outside where he used a locator to show me where the problem area was in case we wanted to dig down and do a permanent repair. After that, he cleaned the pipe one more time to make sure that the remaining roots seen on the camera were severed. Then he tidied up, put things back in their place, and wet-vac'ed the remaining water from the bathroom floor.

Plumb Crazy is a one man operation. The plumber takes the call directly. For this reason it was a little difficult to make initial contact. Once contact was made the response and related service was excellent. We ask what his thoughts were about our aging water softener and we got a good explanation not a sales job. It would have been nice if he would have left a refrigerator magnet with his name on it so we would have his name handy next time we need some work.

Bought the coupon deal, wound up eating it. Could not work out a suitable appointment time. Have no complaint with the vendor . I really didn't try very hard to work it out and just decided to drop it. An overall grade of "N/A" would have been appropriate. Not sure about the June 2012 date; it was 2012 some time. No problem, but I would never pay for a coupon deal again with any vendor.

Ken was very responsive to my request and was very professional. His fee was more reasonable than another estimate I had received.

I was very pleased with Plumb Crazy's service. The owner himself came to my home and performed all of the work. He is very professional, courteous, and performs high quality work. The first time he came, he quickly and efficiently unclogged my shower drain. I asked him to look at my kitchen sink, because I had noticed some leaking under the sink. He was happy to do so, and quickly determined that my garbage disposal was cracked and needed to be replaced. He had a couple of replacement options with him in his truck. I chose the one I wanted and he installed it right away. I asked him if he knew anything about my water filtration system, because we haven't been in our home for very long, and I wasn't sure how often the filters needed to be changed or where to find them. He said that he would look for the proper filters and give me a call when he found them. As promised, he called me a few weeks later and told me he had the filters I needed. We set up a time for him to come and install them, which he did. In all of my interactions with him, he has been positive and very easy to work with. I plan to use Plumb Crazy for all my plumbing needs, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a good plumber.

We called the number listed and spoke directly to Ken. Although he was out of town on vacation, he still managed to get someone out to fix the drain clog in our kitchen within about an hour. The work was performed quickly and professionally. Truly a man who values customer service.

He arrived on time. Found he needed another part. (Because I did not realize the old valve was leaking badly because it was completely worn out.) Got it promptly and completed the job.

Ken is very professional and I felt comfortable having him in my home. I had a prior visit from a plumber with a different company and felt very uncomfortable because the guy was covered in tattoos and smelled of heavy smoke. Ken was a completely different story. He was neatly dressed and very courteous. The other told me I needed to repair something but Ken said it didn't need to be repaired - saving me money and displaying honesty. I will definitely call Ken if I have problems in the future.

They were outstanding. The work was great. He caught problems in the work and corrected them. He gave me better options than what other plumbers gave me. He did all the work himself. He wasn't terribly prompt.

We had two plumbers come out and look at this problem: a blockage in the basement. They both said that they would have to run a camera through the line, clean it, and possibly jack the floors to access the blockage etc. and it would cost $500-$1000. Ken came and looked at our problem and told us that he would be able to fix the blockage in a very simple way. He fixed it by sending a camera through the line and cleaning it out. It only cost $357. He was polite, explained what was going on, and was also very professional. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Ken is really wonderful. He is great, charges a fair price and is personable. He stopped by the other day. I told him that another company found another plumbing issue downstairs. So, he is going to fix that up. I was in the hospital at the time when there was the city sewer flood. The person who was doing house sitting told me that there was some smell in my house. I asked him to call the plumber. So, Ken came over and the basement had flooded. He then called his people and they were his experts that he has known because he is a good reference. They fixed it up and then he came out to help me renovate it. The price charged by him always seems like a fair price. He charged $1300 for the kitchen. He designed where the kitchen should go based on the pipes and broke that up. So, I was able to go to another store for that. Then he came in and did all the appliances. He also made the utility room accessible for the washer and dryer, which was all for about $1300. He also put in the backflow valve so that nothing would ever happen with the city sewer. He went through the floor and attached it to the pipes. Then my flooring guy made a trap door for it. The plumbers worked for that and that was $1200. There were two different things. The pipes would not let the backflow from the sewer. The city will never accept any responsibilities; so I had to do it. I found out that it’s done all over the town. In fact, I had another plumber come out and I paid him $50 for an hour of his time to tell him what Ken was planning to do. He said that was absolutely the correct thing. I told him about the price and he said that was a very good price. He told me to go with Ken. I did my homework on both ends. I first found him on Angie’s List and he has done lots of work since then. His prices are good. I would use his services in the future too and he is my permanent plumber now. I am very pleased with him.

They are prompt and work quickly. I especially like that the owner was very free with information that would be helpful to me. At one point I talked to him for about 20 minutes about a toilet issue that I was having.

I had a faucet in our downstairs shower that was just gushing water. Ken came and repaired that really quickly. He then took a look at an upstairs toilet that had a really small leak after I had replaced the insides of it the week before. I also asked him to fix the shutoff valve on that toilet that was not shutting off cleanly. He did it all quickly and we are really happy with it. Best plumber I've had in many years.

Ken was very punctual and professional in his responses.

He did a very good job. He gave me a good price. He is hard to get back once he leaves but other then that he does a good job. Compared to the other bids I got I thought the price was reasonable. I would use his services again in the future.

This was a relatively simple job and Ken was personable, prompt, and just all around great as usual. This is our second time hiring him and I can't recommend him enough. We are moving to Texas for a new job on very short notice and Ken had even less notice that we needed his services. He came out an the same day and remembered me from our previous service. He is always friendly and does his work very quickly and with attention to detail. I would recommend Plumb Crazy to anyone who is seeking plumbing work of any kind in Utah. Thanks again, Ken!

Ken cleared a basement floor drain that previously needed an annual roto rooting due to tree roots growing into our sewer pipe. He explained that sometimes plumbers don't root far enough out to get to the city sewer line. He did the rooting out to that point. Thus far it's been almost five months and the drain has worked fine. He also suggested ways we can keep drains open without calling a plumber. Ken also explained about the new toilets that can "flush ten golf balls" since our toilets have low flush power. We recommend Ken highly. I don't recall what he charged, but he was competitive with other plumbers we've used.

Clean, professional, neat, nice, polite. Couldn't ask more. I'd definitely recommend Ken and will use him again if needed.
