Plumb Crazy

I was in a bind, so I grabbed the first one on AL (and told Plumb Crazy that). After the job was done I sought 3 bids and I came to find out they were the highest of 3 bids by $100 (almost double to lowest bid! )

He unclogged the left drain but not the right and I called to ask him about it and it is still clogged, he never responded to my call.

My drains are running better than they have for many years, so I'd say he did a very thorough job. I thought the price was nice for rooting out a sewer line, and I'm so tight I screw my shoes on. lol. I've known this man for many years. He's still a good man. He even recommended a product which he says is better than anything on the market and will keep him away from my house to do another rooting job. He called the next day to make sure everything was right.

They are wonderful. I have had no problems with the repair they did and I would use them again in a second.

It went really well. He explained that the sink baking up was expected behavior for the drain I'd installed.

I was trying to install a new kitchen faucet myself. One of the nuts was corroded on and I didn't have the tool to get it off. He came that day, which was great because I have 3 small children and a working kitchen sink is a must. He was on time. I really wanted to install the new faucet myself and could have but just had him do everything. He was nice, clean, and prompt.

It was fairly quick and resolved all the issues.

He fixed several leaky faucets, a faucet that had no pressure, and a leaky turn off valve under the sink. They are all in excellent working order now. He fixed problems that other plumbers had not wanted to look at. He was professional and easy to talk with.

I made a purchase of a Big Deal on Mar 26, 2014. When I called to set up an appointment with Plumb Crazy, he told me he didn't service my area. This surprised me, because I didn't expect to be offered a deal that didn't service my area, and Angie's List specifies that any Big Deals we see are within our area (perhaps they need to work on narrowing that down). He was initially very accommodating, however, and said he would refer me to another plumber in my area and find a way to transfer the deal. Since that date, I have been trying to reach both of them, and sometimes I am lucky and sometimes I am not. But I have not yet had any services provided, and, quite frankly, I want to start over and find myself a different plumber. Please be aware that not all Big Deals are, in fact, for our area. I cannot grade Plumb Crazy on their service, though I am sure it is fine, but I was less than satisfied with the responsiveness, though, to be quite honest, half of that was out of his hands, as it was due to the plumber I was referred to not getting back in touch with me after my repeated attempts.

Difficult to reach - LM - took a week to obtain a call back after paying for the service up front. Once we finally spoke - he said that he doesn't get to our area often so wasn't sure when he could provide the service. We contacted Angie's List and were promptly refunded. Lesson learned - pay attention to Angie's List reviews - others had said the same thing but we were sucked in by the "deal"

Ken figured out that the problem may have been with the recent laying of fiber-optic cable perpendicular to my main sewer line. He told me of a business who have their plumbing punctured by the laying of fiber-optic cable. He gave me the contact information for this business and I was able to follow through and get the punctured sewer line replaced. Without Ken's going the extra mile to figure out what the permanent problem was, I'd still be lost. THANKS KEN!!

He came w/in an 1-2 hours of my calling. He's very friendly & knew exactly what to do for my bubbling toilets & shower drain that backed up brown water every time the washer ran. He got the line cleaned out & told me how to prevent it in the future. He's DEFINITELY on my to-call list w/ plumping issues.

The line was installed, but he didn't secure it to studs or wall as the previous plumber had done with other gas lines. Then gas line works great, no leaks, it just was installed at a lesser level than our prior plumber. Prior plumbing work done by a different plumber was very clean, with new pipe and line, everything was secure, and all holes were patched or sealed around the pipe. Not so with this plumber.He simply cut a hole in the floor, ran a pipe from the utility room up through the floor, and connected it to the dryer. I haven't had any trouble with the gas line or anything, it just doesn't look as professional as I expected, which is completely based on comparing it to the work our regular plumber had done. He did come on a weekend, with fairly short notice, and was prompt and professional in his demeanor. If he would have secured the line better, and routed it a little bit cleaner, I would have given his work an A. I will still use him in the future, especially since he came on such short notice.

It was great, they did great. They came when they scheduled it. I didn't feel like they were overcharging or anything like that. They were super friendly, talked about what he was going to fix and what was going on. He asked me a bunch of questions about what was going on around the house. He reliable and quick and friendly and didn't make me feel stupid. He was very efficient and focused on what we needed. He checked things that might have caused the problem so he was thorough.

The service provider never returned my call so we called another plumber.

I had a toilet that got clogged and stopped flushing. I tried different options to fix the issue and was not successful. I looked for plumbing services from angie's list and purchased Plumb crazy services int the morning (12/27). I got an email reply saying that the service provider would contact me in couple of days. I was in hurry to get the issue fixed. I called Ken couple of times and got hold of him and explained the issue. He listened and responded nicely and said he would take of it today. He showed up in the afternoon and fixed it using Auger. Thanks to him for responding to the immediate need. I did not see a great difference regarding price compared to others. But I was happy to get $35 off of the services and get the issue fixed faster.

I called Plumb Crazy at about 8am this morning and he arranged to come in the afternoon. He arrived shortly after 12 noon and repaired the clogged drain. He was friendly and efficient. His charges were very reasonable. He asked if I had found him through Angie's List and I replied that we had done so. He provided us with a refrigerator magnet calendar for 2014. He asked for our future business and I will certainly call him again!!

He charged me $230.00 out of pocket and did not honor the deal. He came to my house and my wife did not know about the coupon. He told me to call Angie’s List to get the refund.

I first emailed provider with dates I would be available for this service. Did not get an answer. I and talked to Ken Day told him what I needed done. He said he did not have his appointment book with him but would call me back that day. Did not hear from him so I called him a couple of days later same story didn't have his appointment book but would call me back to book the appointment. Still haven't heard from him. I need the work done so I am contacting a different plumber and have asked Angie's List for a refund. Scott was very nice and said a refund will be forthcoming.

Overall the service was great! He was a little difficult to get in touch with, after leaving a couple of messages I did finally get in touch with him. The other thing that I would recommend is having an actual date specified from the plumber and a time. I had spoken with the plumber, he was to get back to me and said he'd be there the first part of the week. However no date or time was set. He showed up at my house early one morning without notice and I wasn't prepared to install the disposal or pay for it at that time, however I didn't feel that I had a choice not to. Otherwise I would say the service went fine. So far the disposal is working well.

He was very good. He's busy and can be a bit difficult to get a hold of. But, he saved me a boatload of money. I had another plumber tell me that I needed to jackhammer my concrete and replace the pipe. He had a camera, but couldn't see anything because of the sludge. He wouldn't water-jet the pipe out to view again. They just said replace it and provided a quote. Ken came and spent the necessary time to water-jet and clear the pipe. We then viewed it with the camera. The pipes are cast iron and about 40 years old. While they are dirty, they are not collapsed or corroded through. I may have to spend a few grand someday to do it, but not today. Hooray for Plumb Crazy!!
