Luckily the electrician showed up early. His boss had told me that they would come by at 7, but had not told the technician. So I got to tell him what I wanted done. They did the work over two days. The first day they updated the service and breaker box. The second day they did the junction box and put in the plugs. The only complaints I have is that three of the plugs they put in where GFI when I wanted grounded plugs. 11/3/2013 An update. I was contacted by the company shortly after posting my first review and they apologized about any miscommunications we had on what I had wanted. They wanted to know when they could come and try to put in grounded plugs. I told them that we were busy and in the middle of our move into the house they worked on. I told them that I would have to contact them when we finished moving. I thought that was very professional of them to contact me and try and fix anything that I wasn't happy with.

This was the second time we've used JP Electric and we were very pleased. Mike and Ian were prompt and efficient, and they explained everything they did. We're very happy with these guys, and in the event I need any electrical service in the future, I'll ask for them by name.

They responded quickly to my initial inquiry and came the next day to write an estimate on the spot. They came the same week to perform the service and were very professional throughout the experience. I highly recommend them!

They have been always very good and the price they charge was reasonable. I have one ceiling fan that I cannot reach, I don't have a ladder that's high enough and while he was fixing the can up in the ceiling he let me take the time to clean up the light fixture because I can never reach it which I thought was great. They made our lighting safe in our bedroom. We feel safer on our electrical.

I would educate myself more. I depended on their judgment on the light bulbs and they didn't ask what my preference was before they came. I have white lights throughout my house and they installed yellow that are recessed into the cans. This causes two problems in that the yellow appears VERY yellow in comparison to the white lights, and the shadows that are cast from the bulbs being recessed. These problems have come to "light" only since they left and I have been using my kitchen. The electricians that came were very prompt and pleasant. They covered the kitchen with sheeting (although they had to go to Home Depot to get it) and cleaned up after themselves. They worked quickly and the quality of the job was very good. Price of the job is before the Angie's Big Deal discount of $99. The estimate provided was accurate.

They were about 10 minutes late as they were stuck in traffic, but called ahead and let me know. They performed the work and did a great job. The job ran 10 minutes over the amount I had prepaid, so I had to pay a little extra. However, that was ok because the work done was great.

My experience with this contractor was generally positive, but I have to say the Angie 's List "Big Deal" as concerns a specific price and so many "man hours" by sending two people is kind of a bait and switch. Angie' List should put that up front so the customer truly understands what's going on. I'm a little disappointed (mostly in Angie's List). Anyway, these guys did good work, showed up on time were very personable and were very easy to work with, I plan on using them again.

They were excellent. They did more than what was expected. They were here for four hours and commutated well. They were on time and very polite. I was very pleased with their services. In my experience, they were the most professional services and I would definitely use them again.

These guys are awesome! The electrical work was part of our kitchen remodel and from the beginning of the process I was impressed with JP Electric. John came out to give me a bid within a day of calling for an estimate. He gave me a bid for all of the electrical work and then asked what I was planning on doing about lighting. I had not even considered the lighting, but as soon as he pointed it out, I knew that I would be unhappy with the whole remodel if I didn't do something about it. He had great suggestions and I am really pleased with the end result. Also, John gave me the bid right away, he sat in his truck and figured everything out and gave me a price before he left. When I scheduled the work with JP Electric, they were about a week out. They night before the were scheduled to show up, they called and confirmed their 8:00am appointment with me. The next morning Mike and Ian showed up right on time. Both men were polite, personable and professional. They answered questions and gave great suggestions so that the remodel went smoothly. They finished about 70% of the work on the first visit. And when the drywall repair and painting was finished, they came back and did the finishing work. I am extremely happy with the work that was done by these guys.

Did a good job and used high quality lighting options. They did a nice job and the lights are working as expected.

I needed two new coax lines run into the house from the box outside to an interior room. JP's techs were able to make the job quick and easy by following existing HVAC ducts, which only required one small hole cut in a ceiling, which they mostly repaired. They patched the drywall, leaving the touch up and painting to me...I expected to do the whole repair myself, so that was awesome. They ran the lines faster than expected, and combined with the Angie's List coupon, the work was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than I'd budgeted for and expected.

They were fast and completed everything on my list. I would call them again!

They are responsive, punctual and professional during both the estimate and the installation. The electrician thoroughly explained the differences between several EV chargers that I presented as options (I have to purchase the EV charger myself). The estimate only took about 30 minutes. After I purchased the charger, the scheduling of the installation was also prompt and professional. The electrician came promptly and was professional throughout the process. The job area was cleaned up roughly and I was pleased with the installation. Comparing another supposedly highly rated local electrical company on Angie's List, which was a no show for the whole day, with no communication, for the estimate, I would surely use JP Electric again in the future!

The project I needed done was bid much higher than I had anticipated it to be. I did not get it done.

Mike and Ian were ALWAYS on time and worked through the day x3 to do the rough in. Answered phone calls before I was ready for the finish work. Mike had great ideas and input for some of my unique issues. I'd say they went above and beyond.

Arriving on time, CJ was very professional and courteous. Seemed to know what he was doing (but what do I know?) and addressed the issues I asked him to. While he worked we ran to Lowes and purchased two ceiling fans which he installed when we returned (not in the original scope). The only minor frustration I had was that he did not have the proper equipment on the truck and had to go to the store to get the breaker and when he got back he didn't have a GFI in the truck either. We skipped that. He had to return on Monday because of an issue with the fan (the light switch actually - not his fault) so he brought the new GFI out then. He really did a good job, the company was VERY responsive and the cost was very reasonable. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

They were prompt and courteous, and they got straight to work. They were exceptionally knowledgeable about their work. My husband made the appointment, and I didn't realize there was a coupon for this business on this site until I logged on to submit a review, so we're a little bummed we missed out on that. However, we will definitely call them again for any future electrical work.
