GARBAGE, plan on being taken advantage of for shotty work, until an inspector holds them Accountable. We had JP change out a bunch of outlets, upgrade and move our electrical panel, run wires for new lighting, run a new power line to a detached garage, and upgrade some wall outlets for new appliances. Price wise they were above average which I generally do becasue I don't want to have to babysit or double check everything. We had to upgrade the power from the city to the house so we had to wait on RMP to get that done which was about a three week timeline. For some reason JP didn't want to do any work until RMP was done. It took them 3-4 days of labor to check all the line items and so the delayed other work being done because for some reason they diddn't want to work before the line was upgraded..... made no sense to me. They could have done all the work but the panel upgrade. Next they didn't pull permitting for their work. So on the day RMP shows up, they are also there and so is the city inspector and he slaps a stop work order on the house because electrial permitting wasn't pulled. Another week long delay and I had to go pull permits. So they finish their work permit is pulled all is kosher EXCEPT they didn't put the power line to the garage high enough so it wasn't UP TO CODE! Inspector flagged it. It took JP over a month to get back out to fix that power line. Basically my partner wrote a bad review and then someone finally called me this morning and go figure they had time TODAY to get it done. Between my partner, GC and myself we called or text them (office, techs, any number we could find) at least 25 times and only got their attention with a bad review. So if you use them start off by posting a bad review then maybe someone will get back to you! Services: Installation, Electrical panel replacement or upgrading, Electrical outlet & switch repair, Electrical wiring installation. After all of this, did we get a discount on the 11,000 bill, 300 bucks and they still charged us for areas they did not MEET CODE! Fun group.
Description of Work: New panel upgrade. Few outlets. Garage line not to code and lights and wires. Finished a 2500 sq ft home for 8000 total cost and this 800 sq ft home cost 11000, what a great group

DO NOT USE. They gave us a deal on a 10,000 job of 300 for all of the issues below what a TERRIBLE COMPANY! Ask us for many other professional contacts out there. We had them do a bunch of work. We had JP change out a bunch of outlets, upgrade and move our electrical panel, run wires for new lighting, run a new power line to a detached garage, and upgrade some wall outlets for new appliances. Price wise they were above average which I generally do becasue I don't want to have to babysit or double check everything. The city came out and inspected and it did not pass. You think they would come out and right their mistake…. NO WAY, after begging and calling countless time though we had paid to no avail they did not show up. They do NOT follow code or pull the correct permits for work done. Do NOT pay this group until you have an inspection done from their work and at that point so many more out there who care about their customers than this group. We can not get anyone into this property because of their NEGLIGENCE on workmanship. For some reason JP didn't want to do any work until RMP was done. It took them 3-4 days of labor to check all the line items and so the delayed other work being done because for some reason they diddn't want to work before the line was upgraded..... made no sense to me. Jon with JP Electrical was very professional, thorough, and thoughtful. He do not just show up and do the job as it was presented. He recommended things I had not considered which improved the end result of the project. It would be a pleasure to work with them on other projects.

I am very satisfied with this company’s service and quality of work. We had some questions about the bid. When we called to get some clarification they explained everything we had questions about. Their prices were competitive. I liked the fact that they sent the name and a photo of the estimator and the electrician that would be doing the work, so you knew who was coming to your house. They also sent confirmation e-mails of the appointment time scheduled. They are very professional, and I would recommend and use this company in the future.
Description of Work: I had JP Electrical supply electricity from the main breaker of my house to a a brand new garage. They installed a sub box in the garage and garage lights, a motion light and photo cell lights outside.

Brad and Jose were the electricians who worked on our house and we were amazed at how fast these guys figured out the problems and replaced the switches and outlets in our home. Brad jumped right on the troubleshooting while Jose started to replace outlets and switches. They worked until the job was done which was several hours quicker than we thought. They will be my go-to electricians for all future work.

Electrician came to estimate the work. He could not open a low voltage box to determine if it could be repaired and said a new box was needed. He did not know if the company that supplied the boxes could send one due to problems in the supply line. He was to get a price and determine availability of the box, then call me with the information to see if I wanted to continue the project. In the meantime, I was to shop for new landscape lights. I never heard from him about the availability of the box. After waiting nearly one month to hear from him, I assumed the project was not of interest to the company and I found another company to do the work. Nearly 3 months after the visit, the company requested payment, $120, for the visit to estimate the job even though they did not give information they promised so I could make a decision to continue with the work.

JP Electrical has been at my Bountiful house for a good part of the day working at fixing all the funky electrical issues in this house built in 1964. Lenny and Ryan had a very long punch list and have done a fantastic job taking care of our electrical needs (including correcting what was obviously a DIY project or two or three that were done incorrectly). Lenny even had the attention to detail to notice and fix a fan blade that had been assembled backwards from the others). These guys are great! I would highly recommend these guys. Oh and Lenny has some pretty awesome old school arcade game tattoos to boot. I'd give them 5 out of 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was contacted within an hour of placing my request with Angie's List, and an appointment was set for the following morning at 8:00. I was contacted by phone that morning to confirm that they would be at my house at 8:00, and they arrived at that time. Two men took one an a half hours to complete all three projects, and I was charged $165 for their work. Everything works as it should, and they were completely professional and careful of my property.

We were having a strange electrical outage in one of our bedrooms which also was affecting the heat tape outside. We figured we needed to get it fixed before the snow flies so we called JP Electric. They showed up on time and went to work. These guys were awesome! They would simply not quit until they found the issue. Even going so far as climbing around the attic when they couldn't find anything amiss in the house. Their persistence paid off as they found an outlet in the attic above the switches which was faulty causing the issue. They took it apart and reinstalled it and it solved the problem. Seriously, these are the best electricians we have ever used and we will be calling them again with any other electrical jobs we have in the future. Thanks guys!

Had a great experience with JP Electrical LC. Mike and his partner Dominic were dispatched quickly and arrived earlier than expected which was a nice surprise. They quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it quickly to my satisfaction. Mike also repaired an outlet box in the kitchen that had become loose. Overall a fast, friendly, and efficient service call at a fair price. I heartily recommend JP Electrical LC for all your electrical repair and installation needs.

Weston and Joseph were awesome. They were professional, knowledgeable, provided insight and advise, and a pleasure to work with. Considering all of the unknowns with remodeling, they seemed to have a solution for any obstacle that came up. They were on budget as promised! They both exceeded my expectations. I originally sought out JP Electric because of positive reviews on Angie’s List, they did NOT disappoint. Will definitely use again in the future and would highly recommend.
Description of Work: Retrofit lighting in several rooms (install recessed, added fixtures, etc). Also, helped convert old in-home shop into new home gym by changing 220v to 110v and adding new plugs, switches for lighting/audio. They updated the breaker panel and also help get some exterior lights working again.

The job was to install three wall sconces, one each in three different rooms. It was the kind of job a do-it-yourselfer could handle, if they don't mind climbing in the attic. We got three quotes from Angie List contractors. The first two seemed rather excessive for the job required. The third contractor, JP Electrical, gave us a quote of "not to exceed $490". Since that was almost half to a quarter of the first two quotes, we told them to proceed. When they had finished the job, we were told that it took less time then they had projected and the final price would be $100 less than quoted. Lesson learned: if getting three quotes, be sure to include JP Electrical as one of the three. They do quality work at a reasonable price.
