I had gone online and got three estimates. The price was definitely a factor because the other company’s price was much more expensive. The thing between Mountainwest and the other company was that instead of giving me a list of all the different kinds of furnaces that they sold, they informed me that based on the size of my house they were just two choices and I could choose the one that I wanted. They were fairly priced.

I feel that I have found a company that I would trust to do any needed work. They were prompt, polite and professional.

The service turned out great. They did a great job for me and honored the coupon. I would recommend them.

It went great. The young man was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He gave me pointers on what to do this summer and checked everything out. Everything went well. We would call them again.

Performed inspection on furnace and outside compressor. Made recommendations based on age of unit. Gave evaluation in writing and verbally. Pleasant knowledgeable serviceman.

Service Experts is the company that absorbed the company that absorbed the company that we really loved. We have had them out for a fall furnace tune-up, then for a failed igniter, then this winter for a mysterious noise. In all cases, we have been pleased with the service people who have come to the house, and have felt that we have been treated very fairly. In the case of the igniter, the technician had to order a part, but was able to make due with a part on hand, which he installed to tide us over until he could return a few days later with the proper part. That was really important for us, because the weather was very cold. We REALLY liked our original company, who had taken care of all of our HVAC needs since we bought our house, but Service Experts has also done an excellent job. They are now "our A/C and furnace guys," and we will continue to call them.

They did a fine job. I was very satisfied with their work. They got the job done in an hour and did a good job.

I had first tried a different company, but they didn't answer their phone. Mountainwest answered the phone on the first ring, and had a plumber sent within a couple of hours. Oliver called me before arriving, and arrived when promised. He was able to fix the problem, and also figured out another plumbing problem that had been vexing us (low hot water pressure). He did the job within an hour, and the price was very reasonable. Well done!

The service guy comes out and instead of checking the fan switch as we suggested he proceeds to spend a good amount of time shoving his scope around the inside the furnace. He finds the seam and swears it's a crack. He then proceeds to tell us it's leaking gases and BY LAW he has to condemn the furnace. After he was paid and asked to leave then he offers that his company can rent space heaters to my tenant . We had to threaten him with calling the police to get him to leave. We have since inquired with all pertinent enforcement agencies and found there is NO LAW to enforce condemning a furnace. The gas company said they would not have condemn the furnace. Found a 30 year tradesman with 7 years apprenticeship and was told the only way to detect a carbon dioxide leak is with a carbon dioxide detector not a camera.

MountainWest Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing offered a reduced-price deal through Angie's List on a particular in-home humidifier. I debated whether or not I needed this "luxury", but figured I'd buy it as a Valentine's Day present for my partner. The company was very accomodating, even coming out of a holiday (convenient for me, since I had the day off) to install it. Because the furnace it was attached to is brand new, the process went off smoothly without any unexpected hitches, and the technician was able to syncronize the regulation of humidity directly through our current digital thermostat for out convenience. It could not have come much easier than that.

My experience with them went fine. They offered a couple of additional things, but they didn't give me any pressure about it and I didn't take them up on it. They were pretty much on time and they guy was really friendly. He explained to me what he was doing.

the initial tech that came out did an excellent job, I think his name was Jared. I had to have one of my furnacnes replaced and the pipe and vent replaced for the other furnance since it was not to code. Dan was the installer and for the most part he was efficient. However, he did not put on the right size vent and he did not secure it down to the roof. It was hanging on an incline. He told me there was too much snow on the roof and that he would need to come back in a couple weeks. I called and got someone out hte next day. They replaced the vent with a larger stack and secured it to the roof. I had another problem with the moistuer drain for the new furnance. Dan had to run the house up thru the kitchen (this is a duplex in the aves so it is very old) and he put the hose in some old cut off pipe under the sink. It ended up overflowing with water,.Needless to say they had to come back out and do it correctly.

We had our basement flood due to a backed up sewer line. Most unpleasant! Oliver came out same day I called, even sooner than he first stated and worked quickly to get it done. He even shared some advice for how to clean up my carpets and such. He was fast and courteous and a pleasure to work with. Price was great.

I needed a sink repaired, a bathtub feedline and faucet installed and an outside water tap and pipe repaired. I got a big deal coupon for 2 hours of repairs. It took 3 hours to complete and I had to pay for the extra time but all the tasks were completed to my satisfaction.i

I purchased an Angie's list coupon based on reviews on Mountainwest Heating & Air Conditioning. They contacted me on the same day I purchased the coupon. A service date and time was agreed upon. The technician was a little late but he called to let us know. The technician went through a series of checks and performed verifications. I do not believe anything needed replacement as our AC unit is fairly new but I still wanted to do yearly checkup to be on the safer side. I would definitely use them again.

I am incredibly impressed with and grateful for the excellent and competent service I received from MountainWest Heating and Plumbing. In early February, I woke up to a broken water line and broken furnace. Because of the place of the leak, I had to turn my main water line off. MountainWest called me back promptly and sent a repair technician for each issue. The HVAC technician diagnosed quickly that my furnace motor died, went and picked up a new one and the furnace was fixed and I had heat again before noon. The water line was repaired within 30 minutes of the plumber's arrival. Because I had a coupon that exceeded the amount of the repair for the water line, the plumber generously offered to fix any other issues or leave me with a credit. I had him install a frost free faucet on the broken line and fix a leaky valve. I had running water and a warm house well before 3:00 p.m. I would heartily recommend MountainWest Heating and Plumbing and will call them again when I am ready to reroute the vents in my basement and if I have any other plumbing or HVAC issues!

I liked this company, as they seemed trustworth and knowleadgeable. They were very responsive to my request.

I was happy. Didn't feel as though I was being duped (at least I hope not b paying extra for the freon) and he add sure everything looked efficient.

Purchased the AC Tuneup Deal here on Angies List. The company contacted me to set up an appointment. The service was completed two days later. I couldn't be happier with the responsiveness and professionalism.

I called and told them I wanted them to come out. The customer service person gave me a time between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. I told her I didn't get off work until 4:30. She said that would be good. I guess the gentlemen got there at 4:00 and was waiting for me. He said he was about ready to leave. I told him I had told her I didn't get off work until 4:30. Everything went just fine after I arrived. He explained things to me as he checked the air conditioner. He didn't find any spiders where he usually does. We moved to the heater. I asked him if I was putting the filter in the correct spot and he said yes. He was happy to see that everything was clean and running good. He told me that most of them only last about 15 years. I know mine is older then that. Every thing went will and the price was right, thank you!

The reason i gave an overall failing rating was because of the recommendations given at the end of the service. It was recommended that i replace the capacitor at a price of $158.00, that i get a duct cleaning at a price of $360.00, that i re-do the duct system at a price of $775.00, and join a pma plan for 2 visits at a price of $139.00. TOTAL RECOMMENDATIONS= $1,432.00!!! On the "future concerns" part of the receipt was written: " Recommend repairs or system will not function properly". I can understand the duct cleaning but the rest is a scam. I checked the capacitor, and it was ok. The system has worked for over a year since the service. The house was build in 2004 so the furnace is relatively new.

They are courteous, knowledgeable and prompt.We decided not to do the job at that time and so we didn't we use them. I would consider using them again.

It was months ago that I used Mountainwest Heating & Air Conditioning & Plumbing. At the time I know I said I was not going to call them again. It was supposed to have been $29 and then with this extra fee on top of it, I don't even remember if he asked if it was alright to do that, he just charged and I don't like that. I like to know what's going on before they come up with the thing, let me know what's going on. I don't want to just be charged and then told I already did it. The quality was good, just that they cost too much.
