Fantastic.

Didn't do anything for us, because wasn't willing to take any new customers.

Hatch Lawn Care & Property Maintenance didn't do any work for me, but I wanted to give them a positive rating for their prompt and professional response. The owner of the company called me about 30 minutes after I left a message and told me that he had too much work and wasn't able to take on any new clients at this time. I've had other companies simply never return my phone call, so I appreciated John's responsiveness and professional courtesy.

Promptly returned call and came out to look at job site within a day. Emailed a price/estimate within another day or two. Set a date to start work. Arrived promptly on the day and began work. Completed job in two days, which included replacement of a few spinkler heads which had become sticky over the winter. I couldn't have been more delighted with the work. Very professional and honest.

.Despite several polite phone calls and e-mails from me, they didn't even have the courtesy or professionalism to respond one way or the other about performing the simple work needed: brush removal, lawn mowing, bush and tree branch trimming.n They never came out to give an estimate, never called me back. The location of my home is in a safe, beautiful, gated community so fear of location is no excuse. This lack of response is inexcusable. Furthermore, I told them I was phoning from across the country but that they would be paid in advance.I would never contact such unreliable, uncaring people again. BTW, I encountered in the Salt Lake City, Utah area a phenomenon I'd never encountered outside of Utah before (I've worked in over 34 states): the majority of tradesmen demand to be given the job and say they don't do estimates!

I never got a response to my request for a quote. My email to the owner is still visible on the Angie's List website.

I called, no answer but left message. He got back to me within 24 hrs. We set up an appointment for estimate. He was a bit delayed in arriving. The estimate was acceptable so we set a date for the work to be done. He was somewhat over booked and on the date called to reschedule. He showed up on the 2nd date about an hour later than he told me but he performed the work in a timely and efficient manner. The work looked good. He had to cope with a poorly constructed sprinkler system but seemed to handle it well. We'll know more this coming spirng when he comes back to turn it on. I arranged for him to do snow shoveling and plowing this winter. The only time, so far, that I needed him to be here for the snow, he came while I was at work. I appreciated not having to call and remind him to come. The job was well done. I am waiting for that bill to arrive. It's been about a month. That worries me because that is what happened with the last man I hired to do lawn care and snow removal. Part way thru the summer, he stopped sending out a bill and stopped showing up. Mr. Hatch is somewhat taciturn and certainly isn't charming but don't let that put anyone off. I have found the charming guys are the least reliable and don't do good work either. If punctuality is a deal breaker, then don't hire Mr. Hatch. He either over books or under estimates travel time. His work is well done. If he shows up for the snow removal all winter, then I would definitely like to have him do the lawn care next summer.

John was punctual and helpful and did a terrific job. We will call him again.

I had John with Hatch Lawn Care come out to give me a bid on determining a cause for one of my window wells partially filling with water, and to affect a repair. John came out to my home in a very timely manner and was able to determine that it was probably my stop and waste valve or a connection to it. I had already done most of the digging myself, but when John arrived he got down into the hole, removed more dirt, and was able to isolate the source of the leak. He finished digging out the area around the valve, repaired a connection to it, and backfilled the excavation. Other companies who came out to give me a bid simply stood at the top of the excavation, and suggested a variety of possible causes. Their bids were twice what John eventually charged me. I only paid $95.00! John was very professional and respectful. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing his services.

I called him last Friday for an estimate - he came that day. We scheduled today (Wed. Oct 19) for the service - he arrived on time and got to work, was done in a little over an hour. This was so great! The big companies wanted a schedluled-service commitment and the prices were so high. John Hatch just did what I needed done and charged a fair price. We will be calling him back in the spring to deal with weeds and spring feeding. I would recommend him and his company to anyone seeking this type of lawn service. Forget the big companies. Let this guy give you a price.

They were on time, were efficient and very fast. I had to call them second time as there was one of the valve which was leaking. They just came out and fixed those and there was no problem. Their price was pretty good and was pretty fair.

He came the day I called and diagnosed the problem which was a leak in the sprinkler pipes in a difficult location. Said he had to buy a part and would return later that afternoon. He came back and fixed the problem and I thought his charges were very reasonable. He was quick and professional and I would definitely recommend him.

We initially called to have some sprinkler problem repaired. John didn't have time to fix the issue, but asked to come right over and look at the problem. He diagnosed and fixed it right then and didn't charge us. We paid him up front to mow the lawn while we were gone. He did, and it was very well done.

At the beginning of each summer, they send you a piece of paper asking what all extra work you want them to do. The owner is dependable, responsive and professional. They always come when they say their going to come. I could never say anything bad about him. When my son-in-law had knee surgery, he went to my son's house even though my son's out of his area.

They are pretty responsive. He fixed some sprinklers that were broken and he helped us get the sprinklers moved prior to our fence construction. He fixed a sprinkler that they hit when we were having a fence installed. He seems to be pretty honest and responsive. His work is definitely above average.

They are not cheap. They show up to do the work. The quality of their work is very good. They did what we asked them to do and it looks good.

I emailed him through this service, and I received a voice mail from him within 5 hours. I called him back, and he was able to come over in the evening to do an assessment of our lawn. Our lawn had not been worked on since last year, and we were unable to do much due to the constant rain we had. We needed yard clean up, aeration, mowing, and trimming. He came on Thursday during the day, and when I came home, it was like Christmas morning. The lawn was immaculate. Our dogs had dragged out some garbage over the winter, and we had leaves from last year, and they cleaned it all up. We have a pesky Chinese Elm tree that keeps sprouting and they trimmed down the tree, and covered it up with dirt. Items they weren't sure what to do with were placed neatly on our back patio. They come by weekly to do mow and trim the lawn, and will be doing some fertilization later. The lawn care is decent, I wish they could get the dandelions, but that may require chemicals. As I said before, we have dogs, and they open and close the gate every time they come, and apparently my dogs don't care! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Hatch Lawn Care.

Showed up on time, did what he said, cleaned up after himself, no issues whatsoever. Plan to hire him to clean my gutters (he quoted me $75, then after going up on the roof and checking, lowered it to $50 since they're not very impacted).

I pay them $45 a week. They have been good so far. I haven?t had any issues with them at all. They have been doing great and quality work. They seemed to be concerned about how everything works. So they have been fantastic. They have been great with their price. We don?t have any time for them to come out and they just come out on a certain day. I would continue to use them.

Sometimes they will mess up the day they are supposed to come. They do a good job.

Just GREAt! I had several landscapers/gardeners come out to give estimates on the work we wanted to do to ready the house for sale. John Hatch was on time, courteous, had great communications skills and gave the best estimate! John and his company are treasures and I will gladly continue to use him and will be most happy to recommend him to my friends and family!

They are pretty accessible and do a good job. The price is very reasonable. Also the owner has always been great about answering my questions. They can be pricey at times.

This company does a high quality job at a fair price. At beginning of season, they send a survey to determine the specific services you want (yard clean-up, bush & tree trimming, weekly mowing, periodic fertilizing, sprinkler services & repair, etc). Then they deliver. They do a nice job of keeping the lawn neat - trimming around walks and garden edging, etc. Responsive for special needs, such as sprinkler repairs.
