Greg Bohrer was professional and courteous. He was knowledgeable and explained what was wrong and what he needed to do to make the repairs before he actually made them. After completing the repairs he went back and tested him to make sure everything worked well as it should be.

The installation was good but the communication is bad

Not great, Bob! A job I was told could be done in five hours wound up taking eight days — and my doors still aren’t right. The work was sloppy and ultimately incomplete. The guy seemed out of his depth and/or confused a lot. He had to make multiple trips a day to Jone Depot to get the right parts. He kept not showing up on the day he promised to show up — Including one day when it rained and *again* water got through the doors. Had he done the job the day he said he would do the job, that would not have happened. He was a mess. On the eighth day, when he was finally “finished” I could tell there were still multiple places that were incomplete and/or poorly done, but I was so sick of him I just wanted him gone. This was a mistake to trust this service and I will not be using Cranston or Angi again.

Juan R did a great job with our installation of a dog door. Our door had a small issue due to the design, but he went out of his way to fix the problem and get the job done. Super efficient and friendly guy.

Juan did a very good job. I would hire him again in a minute. He was punctual, accurate and professional.

TJ dId a great job! He showed up when he said he would, and was an excellent communicator. He did excellent work on why ended up being a tricky job! I was happy to work with him and would gladly hire him again.

EXCELLENT!!! We now have nice warm heat in our den!!! TJ is amazing!! He does the job with complete attention to detail and does not call a job completed until you are totally satisfied!! Will absolutely hire them again and request TJ!

It was perfect!!! This company is terrific! TJ was our technician and he was professii al, friendly, knowledgeable and was detail oriented! The result was absolutely perfect! I will hire them again for any future projects for sure!!

Other than a slight glitch with our first scheduled meeting, everything went very well. Joe and William did an outstanding job. They completed the work the way we requested, stayed in communication with us on the status and any questions to ensure done to our specifications and were very pleasant at all times. I am very pleaseed with the work done. I would definitely hire them again.

Troy and Matt did a fantastic job framing and installing custom surround for a new fireplace and prepping for the install of a barn door on the guest bathroom. TJ did a good job gutting an office and prepping and painting. I would without a drought hire them again and actually have some projects for next spring

I was very happy with the service. The handyman was on time, polite and tidy. I was very pleased with the work that was done. He also put every thing back in it's place and cleanup, even placing the appropriate items in the recycle bin! I would definitely use again.

Dave was on time for the appointment. He was super friendly, efficient, and professional. He quickly repaired the stairs and did it was ease. I greatly appreciate his quality of work and would highly recommend to anyone in need of handyman work. Thanks again!!

I have had Cransten Smart Security for about a year now and I just want to say how much I love the Camera quality. All of my neighbors with their DIY systems can't make out anything. Ours can make great detail at night time. Plus there is no service contract!

I hired Cransten a month ago and was super pleased with their responiveness and ease of booking. It is so hard to find a reliable contractor these days. We had a punch list of items to complete and they got everything done with high quality and in a timely manner.

Run as far and as fast away from this company as possible. I am sharing my experience in hopes to prevent someone else's nightmare. We hired Cranston in April. I gave them a credit card to get on the schedule after I had approved the initial quote. Trevor, the owner, came over to review everything with me and understood that time is of the essence as we were selling our home and needed the tile work to be done quickly. He assured me that this job would only take 1 week. I also had him come over to our new home to give me a bid. The day rolls around that the employee was supposed to show up to do the work. He was a no show. No one called me. Frustrated, I emailed Trevor to say that I wanted to cancel the job. No surprise, he called me right back. He said that someone would be there the next day. The tile guy did show up the next day and proceeded to work on our tile in the master bathroom. He was stressed about the job. After speaking with him, I learned that they do not vet their employees like they claim. A week went by, and he wasn't finished, he said he needed more time. Almost another week goes by, and he finally finished the job. He said he was so glad to be able to finish in "such a time crunch." I was told 1 week, and he took almost 2. I went to the house the next morning and I was mortified. This is the worst tile job I've ever seen. He had dropped the tile in the tub, which put several holes in the tub. I was so embarrassed, and our open house was that day. I text Troy, the project manager. He only came over to collect payment, which is apparently the only thing they care about. I told him this is unacceptable. He let me know he could come see it sometime in the next couple of days, very nonchalantly. I proceeded to get several text messages from the installer saying basically that he's sorry that I don't like his work. Who lets their employees send messages to customers like that? They finally came over to see it later the next week. As we had accepted an offer on the house, we told him that it needed to be completed before we closed, which was in 3 weeks. Then proceeded to not show up for another week after that. Needless to say, they did not complete the work before our closing date. When I was sent pictures by the realtor, there were holes in the ceiling, holes in the grout, areas with no caulking, holes on the floor, the new tub didn't work, areas that weren't painted, etc. I text Trevor to let him know that the job isn't done. With which I received a reply that we were "being too picky" and he "doesn't understand how he got in the middle of this." They broke the shower door, so we had to buy another one, which was custom, and they didn't fix the dimmer in the bathroom, which was part of the job. Also, replaced lights with entirely new lights that didn't work off of the dimmer. We had to push our close date 2 times so they could complete the job. Which to add, cost us a lot of money. I still am not satisfied with the job. It is not finished. They sent me the final bill. Didn't include a discount, an apology for such horrible work or at least an apology for a 1-week job taking 2 months. They had included items I never approved, including trying to charge me for the new tub. I asked him about a discount, and he proceeded to tell me that the discount was the material they went and purchased to redo the job. He also proceeded to send me a very derogatory and condescending email about how he thinks I have made things so hard in my life and that I needed to do the right thing and just pay them. After the **** they put me through and now I get this abusive email. I told him to charge the card on file and be done with it. He said he would do it on Monday. On Monday he tried to charge the card, but I forgot I had charged a lot of stuff on it for the construction on our new home. So, it declined. He sends me a text saying it declined and I told him I would call the office to update the card. The next day, Trevor decides to come to our new home and proceeds to tell all the construction people what a horrible person I am and that I own them money. If he was them, he would stop working on the project. I get a call from my contractor telling me this. I couldn't believe it. I had to look at the cameras to see what happened, because I was in complete shock. We had to call the cops and file a police report for trespassing. This man not only screwed up our entire bathroom for 2 months, but he also caused the workers to stop working on our home. This company has cost us Tens of Thousands of Dollars for their screw ups and horrible work. Things clearly, they should have no business doing. Never an apology, never they can do things better. Always, always the customer's fault. So, do yourself a huge favor. RUN from this company. Don't trust them. You'll thank me...

Cransten is an amazing company to work with. I started working with them in May 2020 and they were great, constant communication, validated work every day, excepted changes throughout projects. I had them doing work for me on2 different houses. They gave great advice on hard decisions and explained why so I could make the final decisions. They are on my speed dial for all my handyman needs. Thanks again Cransten!

The company provided me conflicting information when calling in and chatting through Angie's List chat system. Once we got the information straight, we set up an appointment for them to come out and provide me a quote. They never showed up or called. Not reliable and inconsistent customer service.

We have been using Cransten for for about 5 years. In the spring they open up the swamp coolers. In the fall they shut the system down. I trust them to perform repair and replacement based on their judgment of what is needed. One less thing on my plate as a landlord.

Exceeded my expectations. Was on time, friendly and went above and beyond to make my project perfect. Couldn't be happier.

Cancelled the visit. The company remained in contact and was very professional after I cancelled the job.

The handyman that came and put in my hardwood floor was outstanding! He was very kind and helpful. A real hard worker I was worried about him since he never took a break. He told me he was fine though thanks for the worry. Will use them again for sure!

Poorly. Steer clear of these guys. The front office doesn't give a **** about customer service as once they lock you in, they drag you along the coals of an open fire messing up everything they touch. They couldn't install dry wall correctly nor slope a floor or drains in the right direction. ****, they couldn't even read a design to see where things were to installed or read the instructions of how to install the accessories which, they did completely wrong. multiple times. we fired their first guy and ripped out 85% of his work as they sent their #2 guy. ****, he couldn't even put a toilet rough-in at 12"! For the most part he was good but missed out on a lot of details building our modern/contemporary bathroom that we now are seeing the errors as we go to install fixtures. even the tile was laid down wrong and we had them rip it out once already! Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with these guys. They have no idea what they are doing and worse yet, their customer service from the office are absolutely horrible. They don't answer your questions and avoid conflict of their shoddy work. Couldn't even get a supervisor to come for a site visit to see how the project was coming along. I have a ton of photos as to why you shouldn't even think about hiring these asshats on another device so google me and email me if you want evidence to how bad these guys are.

Romie did a great job and came out the next day. He sanded the door to fit and mitered it.

It didn't. An appointment was scheduled within 24 hours of my inquiry and I was happy about that. However, on the day of the appointment, I received a call that the man was having mechanical issues and would have to reschedule. He indicated that he would call back in the next day or two. I never heard back. I waited over a week for any call back, and nothing. I decided to go a different route and contact a different company, which carried out the task I needed.
