My wife and I had been contemplating a landscape makeover for a couple of years and in 2013, I called and got a bid from a local landscaping company. Their plan was a sketch on printer paper and was not specific but their contract terms was and very expensive. After that experience, my neighbor had used All States Landscaping for backyard makeover in 2012 and front yard makeover in 2013 and their yard was beautiful and they told us of a good experience with All States Landscaping. I contacted All States Landscaping for patio and front entry way proposal in February 2014, an office rep called and made a appointment with the owner Ken to meet on February 25 at 1pm. Ken arrived on time and asked what ideas I had in mind and shared his own ideas. He was very responsive to our needs and questions. Two days later, Ken sent by email a proposal for the work we discussed to be done at my home. This estimate included a few items that we did not discuss but asked us to feel free to pick and choose items to reach a budget we are comfortable with. However, Ken mentioned, without having a landscape design to reference, it is difficult to visually understand all the items he was proposing. While most contractors at best offer spray painted lines on the dirt to design landscapes, but when you select All States Landscaping, they create a professional “Custom Design” absolutely “FREE” drawn by one of their Professional Landscape designers which is at least a $750.00 value. We agreed to have a designer meet with us and prepare a professional design of our landscape upgrade. We made an appointment with All States Landscaping designer, Darren on March 13. We again went over our ideas and some pictures of things we like and ideas that may be part of our project. He took measurements and shared his ideas and great input of what would look nice and where features should be placed on the property and why. It made total sense where the water feature and the fire pit should be placed. We discussed the size of the patio and the roof or awning covering. Two weeks later we received an email from Ken with a preview of the drawing and an All States bid proposal for the project. We made an appointment with Ken on April 1. We were given a detailed bid with a vinyl colored artist rendition of the finished project including boulders and listing of type and size of plants/shrubs to be left or planted. The drawing was to scale and easy to follow. The design included elements that we hadn’t even considered. The bid proposal was done in ala carte type bid so we could eliminate, do ourselves or let the professionals do the work. We were free to pick and choose what we liked and how we would like to do it to reach a budget we are comfortable with. Ken was very helpful with his ideas and contribution to help stay within our budget. This proved to be a simple process to request and receive a price quote for the project. A hassle free sales process that we could choose the elements we wanted them to do and the elements we would defer or not do at all. We signed an agreement and made a small deposit. Project started on May 12th and throughout the project we were consulted whenever there was a question regarding the design. There were one or two crews working on our project from start to finish. Their crews were hard working, very professional, and polite. They worked hard and made sure that things were cleaned up and left safe at the end of each day. When they were finished they made sure that we were completely satisfied with the finished project. Any problems I brought to their attention were immediately addressed and corrected. They also were very responsive to our needs and questions. We were impressed with how quickly and cleanly they completed our yard. They were done in three weeks and we are very happy. All States Landscaping was a pleasure to work with. Ken’s crew does amazing things with rocks creating fire pits from boulders and water fountains in rocks. Ken had my wife and I go to his place of business at 611 W. 12300 S., Draper, and select any rock for our 2 water features and a boulder for our rock fire pit. His employees are very talented in their craft knowing where to cut and drill each rock to get the perfect results. Their staff is friendly and willing to meet and accommodate any changes or requests we made. The team kept a clean working environment and made the absolute most out of every day they were here. We would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, reliable landscape design firm. They will give you the best price without having to waste valuable time. They are Utah State Licensed and fully insured for your protection. Enjoy a landscape designed and installed by people who really know what they’re doing! We have had many complements from the neighbors about how nice our yard turned out.

We called in March and asked if we could have our sprinklers checked in April. We called on a weekly basis during the first of April and told we were put on the list. When May came around our sprinklers still had not been checked. We called again mid may and were told that they would come out to replace and check sprinkler heads. No one came. Finally, after getting rather fiesty on the phone during the first week of June, they came out and checked the system, but did not replace the broken sprinkler heads. We had several plants die during the first part of spring.
Description of Work: Replacing of sprinkler heads and overall check of sprinkler functions.

My property had problems with old tree roots, rocks, and hill sides. They were able to handle all obstacles and completed the installation on schedule. I had some special requirements to spray "off property" and to also feed water to a bird bath. I am very pleased with the result.
Description of Work: Install new automatic sprinkler system. The house had a partial existing system which needed to be ripped out and replaced and greatly expanded. I have deer and elk in my yard in the winter. They installed TORO sprinklers that can survive being stepped on by hoofed animals.

As soon as the supervisor (Caleb) left, the 2 workers left for about half an hour. Later, they took a break and stood around talking for about 15 minutes. Later, Caleb came by and complained that he did not charge enough because it was taking them longer than he figured. I told him what I saw, and added that they had also done work at a neighbor's house for which they were paid separately. Caleb still complained about not charging enough when I paid him.
Description of Work: They did spring cleanup - trim bushes, weed, and blow clean.

They said they would be out to fix the line in about a week, but it took 3 weeks and a lot of phone calls to get them here. Once a date was set he was on time. Once here, he tried to re-glue the connection on the existing bad alignment instead of installing new materials. He was here 50 minutes. It did not work so he had to return in 3 days to repair it again. He still just re-glued it.
Description of Work: He repaired a leaky plastic irrigation line that had come unglued at a fitting.
