Randy Hunt - Home Appliance Service

This is a busy time of year for Mr. Hunt, so I had to leave several messages, but my persistence paid off. He was very kind and very professional. He was able to offer me several options for my installation problem.He also offered to speak to my apartment management should I have any problems with them. I am very pleased and I plan to recommending him to family members.

Randy is a rare person. He is skilled, honest, and reliable. We were in need of a washer quickly before vacation and he was willing and able to make that happen for us. I highly recommend Randy.

It was great to find someone with as much experience as Randy. He comes with decades of appliance repair history and experience. He unstuck the latch so we could use the oven and he got the part and returned a few days later for the repair. He was very nice and professional. I highly recommend him.

Dryer stopped tumbling. Called Randy. He came promptly and diagnosed the problem as well as a couple of other things we mentioned to him while he was on premises. He located the necessary parts and performed the repairs quickly. Highly effective and competent.

Called mr. Hunt and he came out the next evening to look at it. All it ended up needing was some lubercation on a part. Was told actual part looked good. He fixed my issue2c and made sure everything was good before leaving. While passing through my kitchen, he noticed my dishwasher and asked the year of it. He wasn't for sure 100% if my year was on a recall list or not, but said he'd get back to me with that info. That's pretty impressive. I also live at out in the country and he came out to me whereas other repair men much closer were not willing to do so. Very impressed. Will use again if needed.

He is excellent. He gave me a great price and went above and beyond for me. I was so impressed, he was incredibly knowledgeable and I would recommend him to everyone.

Randy made an appointment for the very next day, arrived on time, and within minutes we could see the difference in knowledge and experience. Not only did he repair the fridge, he reinstalled a vent piece the first company had put on backwards. He is very knowledgeable, and honest about what he can repair.

Randy went out of his way to provide infomation on how we could get our Whirlpool washer control board replaced at no cost. We followed his directions and got the washer fixed at no cost by Whirlpool. We had been trying to get this fixed through another appliance company for over a year, got the run-around, never got it fixed properly, never knew this problem was covered by Whirlpool as a defect and a fix at no cost. Thank you Randy for your assistance. Honesty and integrity are priceless attributes- he has certainly demonstrated he is someone to trust!!

He is very knowledgable and knows all his appliances. He is punctual and professional. I will use him again and would recommend him to others.

Mr. Hunt was punctual. He quickly assessed the problem with the oven and replaced the LED panel. He also determined the issue with the automatic sensor for the dryer and repaired it. It is a part that seldom breaks, however, something had caught on it and sprung it from its proper location. It is not a part that the company stocks or is on the repair truck as there is so seldom a problem with it. The repair did not hold and Mr. Hunt is ordering the part and will make the replacement when the part arrives. He is very diligent with his customer service. He double checked the calibration on the new LED panel for the oven before leaving even though it required him to spend a little extra time to pull the panel again. He did not want to leave without making sure it was set properly. He also checked the recall list to make sure my dishwasher was not on the recall list. He also has Saturday hours which was wonderful for me since I work 20 miles from my home and did not require me to take time off from work. I will definitely continue to use Mr. Hunt and have already referred him to two friends.

It was a good experience, he was honest, timely, and he fixed something that the previous repair man couldn't fix.

Service was excellent. Very responsive when we originally called to have someone come out. Called back several times as we confirmed the part purchase and the time for the service. Randy was very knowledgable about what needed to be done. He completed the work in under an hour and the price was reasonable for a service call and part. Will definitely use his services again on refrigerator as well as other large appliance maintenance.

I got Randy's voice mail when I called and was going to call another company but he called me back before I had a chance to dial another number. He came to look at an oven that would not run the self-clean cycle and an automatic ice maker that hadn't worked in several years. I was on the fence about fixing the ice-maker. I don't remember the prices exactly but he told me on the phone what it would cost for him to diagnose the problems on 2 appliances. The first one cost more b/c it drew the calling fee. Whatever the breakdown was, his charge to come and give me a price for repairs seemed completely reasonable. He was late for the first appointment. He called about 25-30 minutes after he was supposed to be here to say he'd be here in about 15 minutes, but it was closer to a half an hour. It wasn't too big of a deal for me but I figure I should mention it. He diagnosed what he thought both appliances needed and gave me a price for part and labor. His labor prices seemed really reasonable. The price for the ice-maker was outlandish but I believed him that that was something beyond his control. I did not shop around to verify the price but I didn't feel I had any reason to not believe him and I was in a bit of a hurry to get the work done. We made an appointment to do at least the repair on the oven and he said it was no problem to decide about the ice maker and let him know when he arrived to repair the oven. In the meantime, he observed my dishwasher and asked if it was on a recall list. I had no idea so he checked it for me. He called the company and found it needed a recall service so he made the request and gave me some helpful information for getting it done as well as a few warnings of things to watch for with whatever company came to do the work. I got the machine serviced with little trouble and no expense. On the day he was to come do the repairs on the oven and the ice-maker, he was again pretty late. Again, this was no big deal for me but still think it should be mentioned. I did at least appreciate the fact that he called both times but both calls were a significant number of minutes past the appointment time. He repaired both appliances and they seem to be working fine. He guarantees parts and labor for a year, even if the part does not come with a warranty that long; which seems really good to me. I did not consult with any other repairmen in order to do a cost comparison but I think his prices were reasonable.

He told me the price of the part and gave me the option of repairing or maybe buying a new washer as mine is approximately 9 years old. His labor was not expensive and he was very good and prompt.

I called for a repair, received a return phone right away. Randy asked for my appliance information and the problem so he would have parts available upon his arrival.

He did not follow through. He kept me on the phone forever and told me all about the drama in his life. I did not need to hear about that. I ended up fixing myself.

After checking Angie's List, I selected Randy Hunt. When I called, Randy himself answered. He was cheerful and polite. After I briefly described the problem, Randy told me of the the three most probable causes. Randy also included the price of parts and labor for each. We made an appointment for the next day. The next morning, Randy called and told me that he had a problem and that would be about an hour late. He arrived in about half the time, which was good. When he arrived, he was ready to work. As he began to work, I gave him a more detailed explanation of the problem. He thanked me and said that the information pointed him directly to the problem. After he checked further, he explained about a missing hanger and said that it wold be faster and easier to just make one. (I think it is probably better and longer lasting too.) After double-checking his work, he inspected some other items that could cause similar break-downs to occur. Randy cleaned up the area and said that all was well. I asked about the price and found that it was very reasonable. The next time something happens to any of our appliances, I know what to do: I will call Randy. In the meantime, I will be recommending him to my friends and relatives.

Randy Hunt came to look at our fridge on a holiday weekend at no extra charge. He determined what not working but had to order parts to fix it. He came back when he said he would, fixed the fridge, and now it's running great. We'd definitely use him again.

All I can say is WOW! Randy is one of the best. When we called he came out right away on a Sunday! We told him it wasn't an emergency buit he wanted to get out to us. This guy is the real deal when it comes to customer service. He spent a good deal of time troubleshooting and explaining what the problem was. No high pressure sales tactics and his prices beat any of the big repair places (i.e Sears, Best Buy, etc). He didn't have the part but called around to get it and came out the very next day to install it. Overall I couldn't be any happier with Randy's service and knack for treating the customer right!

I called Randy on Monday afternoon to request a repair on my oven and refrigerator and I was able to get scheduled for the next day. Randy arrived and quickly diagnosed both issues. He then provided the repair options and pricing for each. The oven required a new part that was in stock at another location. I chose to go with the oven repair but not want to proceed with the refrigerator. He picked up the part and quickly fixed the oven. He then put my refrigerator back together. The oven heats like new again. Impressed with his service I asked him about my dryer which had been making loud noise. He checked it out, gave a price and said he could do it right then. He even had the part on his truck. The dryer now heats and performs quietly. I am very happy with the excellent service that Randy provided in fixing my appliances. His scheduling was convenient, prices were fair, and I will not hesitate to call and recommend him in the future.

Randy was originally scheduled to come out at 2pm but due to unforeseen circumstances wasn't able to make it until almost 6 - he was very communicative throughout the day though to keep me updated about the delay. Once he arrived, he got right to it and was able to quickly determine the reason that my dryer had stopped working. He replaced the switch over about an hour, and was very apologetic about being late. He was kind enough to only charge me for parts and the trip charge. He also took the time to look at my wonky dishwasher (the top rack slides open anytime you open the door). Unfortunately it wasn't something he was able to correct, but he gave me the name and number of someone else that should be able to get that installed correctly. He was very kind, did great work and anytime I need appliance work done in the future, he will be my first call!
