It did not go well because we faced a very unprofessional behavior from the service person. He directly came in to the house when I opened the door and I wanted him to take his shoes off or put on booties over his shoes, but refused and he said it is a security and policy issues and he left from the house. And also there is a corona virus pandemic, so he must be more professional and also he must be more respectful and sensitive to the customer. This service person is not professional and he needs training more until he gets a professional and ethical skills

He didn't respond at first, and later he called me, said he had a death in the family. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He recommended buying a new microwave and offered to install it for a reasonable price. So I went and bought the new microwave, called him back and once again, no answer, no response whatsoever. I was as patient as could be with this guy. I have seen several similar reviews here, and always excuses. He seems to know his stuff but I'll be ****** if I couldn't get him to even call me. Don't believe the excuses, there are better choices here.

The customer made it very clear right up front that he was trying to determine whether to repair the microwave or just replace it and needed information to make that decision. Most people and most certainly all of my regular customers realize there's a cost involved to get that information , a service call fee. Since he was in no hurry and wanted to save the cost i gathered information from him then did some research. I reconnected with him and provided my knowledge and guidance saving him $70. He left me a message several days later and said he had the new appliance and would rather have me install it at my earliest convenience. The day I was set to call him to do it i had already seen his unfavorable review. No problem. Would recommend that he call companies in the future that have call taking staff on board and as far as him being " dammed " I'm not in the after life judgement business - suggest get with Jesus / Allah or Budah about that. I have an A overall rating and other reviewers and my regulars know why. Randy Hunt.

Called and spoke with Mr. Hunt who asked me to text him the model number of the ovens and he would get back to me. I did so withing five minutes of hanging up the phone. One week later, 3 texts to Mr. Hunt with no replies. Very unprofessional.
Description of Work: Wall mount ovens not heating to programmed temperature and heating slowly.

Mr [Member Name Removed] either didn't get a voicemail message or dismissed it before listening to it / what he is obviously unaware of is later that afternoon on the day of his initial conversation i was injured and had to be hospitalized. 8 days later I was released. Wasn't able to make any calls myself so don't know much more than the person that notified my customers during that time claims either direct conversation or a message was left informing everyone of the situation. Individuals who were not already involved in a repair were instructed to seek assistance elsewhere. My apologies to mr Schulz and would encourage him to use Electrolux Service at 8774353287. NOTE - no pricing was discussed and no money was ever collected / i was never officially contracted for the job.

Repair was never made. He didn't return my calls after initial contact.
Description of Work: I contacted Randy by phone. He promptly called me back looking for details and asked me to text him my address and the model number of the washing machine. I sent that right away to him. over the time frame of a week, I tried contacting him 2 more times via text and phone with no responses. I wasted a week waiting for him. Finally, I got it repaired through another service. I don't know what he stopped communicating with me.

My iPhone stores ALL phone calls and voice mail and text messages with the date and time posted for 90 days. Went back and found the initial voice message from [Member Information Removed] on 5/22 at 8:51 am and my outgoing return call on 5/22 at 11:11 am. No further communication logged. Do remember discussing the repair process and pricing with him because he stated he had been trying to trouble shoot the problem himself. As is the case many times when we don't hear back from the customer it is usually because they have decided to take a different avenue. Not sure how the ball got dropped tho I'll encourage [Member Name Removed] to utilize a service company that has a secretary in the future. It will cost him a bit more money but they will have the means to stay in constant contact throughout his ordeal. Note - we were never officially hired and no money was paid to me. Randy Hunt.

Called and talked with him on Thursday, May 12, 2016 and explained that my washing machine was dripping water. I had a sprinkler system installed earlier in the week, with the water turned off and then again back on. When I went to wash a load of clothes, there was a very loud sound from the washing machine and I thought it was just air in the line. However, after the load finished washing, there was water dripping into the tub. Mr. Hunt said it was probably a faulty water valve and asked me to text him the model and serial number of the washer, which I did. He said he would call me back to put me on the list to get the washer fixed. I did not hear from him later on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I texted him this morning asking him to call/text me and have not heard from him. His professionalism is non existent, in my opinion.

Yes i remember quite a lengthy discussion with her about the situation due to the fact she kept wanting me to connect her washer problem with her recent plumbing repairs. Could not guarantee that and she seemed highly disappointed. She stated at that time she was going to see if it would clear up on its own in a few days and would get back to me. Called Randy to see if he could come take a look at my washing machine after another service company did not show up or return my phone call. He was wonderful! When he saw he would be late he let us know so we would not think he wasn't going to show up. He got to the house and fixed our washing machine and only charged us $85! I would definately use him again!

Randy is really knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful. Our garbage disposal was leaking and had stopped working, so we got a quote from Randy while he was here for a refrigerator repair. We finally called him back to get it done and he came out within a few days. He was running late but called to let us know. We would highly recommend Randy and would use him again.

It's basically like new. I have a washing machine that's 20 years old that I don't have to worry about anymore. Randy is fabulous. He comes on off hours if you need him to. He does whatever needs to be done to make the situation right. He's really good. We've used him for local things. I've sent him to my mother-in-law and to my parents. He's really dependable. He will do what's right for you, not what's right for him. He's just a good guy. The area is left just as clean as when he gets there. He leaves it just like he finds it. It was affordable and he gave me several options to choose from so I could go whatever options fit my pay scale the best. The quality of service is exceptional. I've been fine with his responsiveness. I have his telephone number so I can send him a text if I need to talk to him. He's really good about that. He wasn't exactly on time, but because the job that he works as a handyman you never know what the job before yours is going to be like. Even when he was running late he always call to say "Hey, I'm hung up. I'll be there at "x" amount of time." It was never along the lines of if he never did show. It was always, "I know I said I'll be here. This one ran a little bit later. I'm in this part of time and I'll be there in "x" amount of time." He would always make sure that I knew where he was even if he wasn't working and was supposed to be with me. That's wonderful because then we knew if we needed to go on an errand, we can go run an errand or if we needed to be at the home. It's very nice. His professionalism is fabulous. He talks to us in language we understand. He doesn't use mechanic speak. I don't have a mechanics degree or a license or anything, so he's really good that way. He is a very personable worker and I would recommend him to anybody.
Description of Work: He repaired our washing machine that had lots of stuff wrong with it. He was able to repair it and keep it from leaking.

When I called to see about the repair, Randy asked me several questions about what was going on. I gave him the make and model of the washing machine and told him it was leaking when it filled with water. Becasuse of his experience level, he knew what the most likely problem was and said he would need to order the part and could then come out and fix it. The part was delayed because of the shipper and so we had to reschedule the apt. He came the next day, varified the problem and replace the defective part. He did a great job and the price was less than I expected. I will call him again if I have other appliance problems and will give his name to friends and family who may need his services. Good first experience with Angie's list

I originally contacted Randy regarding a self-cleaning oven that wasn't. The SC feature hadn't worked in years so I had barely been using the unit. I contacted him just before Thanksgiving (several years ago, by now probably) as I was considering cooking the feature meal. I also had an ice-maker that had stopped working long before. Randy looked at both, told me what was needed and made the repairs. Some were on the same day and some were after parts came-in. While here on that call, he noticed that I had a dishwasher model that had had a recall issued. He took it upon himself to check to see if mine had been serviced for the recall. It had not. He told me about it, gave me the number for the company and said he would do the install without any charge to me once I received the replacement part. Apparently it had a heating element(?) that had been found to over-heat. He came later and replaced the part. Unfortunately, I preferred the hotter element b/c it dried my dishes better. But I don't fault Randy for that; plus, I have to allow that the current element is, hopefully, more safe. Quite some time after this I contacted him regarding the noise in my washing machine, described above. His responsiveness to get back to me was timely and I made an appointment. He fixed the problem on that day. I admit I do not at all remember the prices I paid him (what I put above is a guess on the cost of the first service call), but I can be positive I felt they were very reasonable. I am not cheap but I want value and I can't stand to feel like I am over-paying. I do remember the parts were expensive (which I confirmed via the internet) but that, again, was not his fault. I will always use Randy Hunt in the future as long as his work continues to be such a good value. He is courteous and helpful. All appliances are currently still working after his service, and I know they were all done well over a year ago. I do remember that he was quite late for one of the appointments, which is why I rated punctuality down some. I called after he was half-an-hour overdue and he told me why he wasn't here yet. I understand that things happen that can make someone late, but I would have appreciated a call from him when he knew he wouldn't be here timely; rather than for me to sit around waiting and having to call him. That is my only complaint and for the other appointments, he was on time.
Description of Work: Repair latch lock and self-clean feature on Kenmore Oven, repair broken ice-maker and identify loud noise in my front-load washer and fix.

thanks for the great review. on the punctuality issue we currently considering going to the 4 hour window like most other companies instead of the current 1 hour window we are giving. the 4 hour window does assure on time everytime its just we felt our way allowed you to not only plan your day better it allows you to have more of your day! maybe we are wrong so we will certainly continue to monitor and/or survey the matter. thanks again!

After leaving a message in the morning with this company, I finally received a call later in the evening, around 6PM. I was given a rough estimate of what it would cost to repair my oven after explaining the issue, and then was asked to provide the model number to the company of my oven. After providing the model number, they said they would call right back, which never happen. Two days later, I'm still waiting on the return phone call. Very unprofessional, would not recommend to any friends/family.

[member name removed] called and was looking for information on what might be wrong after a failed attempt on his behalf to repair his whirlpool range. after collecting his product info i discussed his possibilities and told him i would need to research part prices to give him the pricing info he wanted. he stated that would be fine and no hurry for the range had been broken for almost 2 weeks. i also told him i only stocked 1 of the 2 possibilities left and would need to order the other in to be able to complete the job on the first trip should he want me to finish what he started. he understood. i also knew he was going to order parts starting with the lowest price one the minute we hung up (after 35 years at this i know information seekers when i hear them)! as expected when i called him 2 days later when the part arrived, he stated he had already purchased the lower priced part which did not resolve the problem and instead was just going to buy a new range. told him i would call him back with pricing on new ranges and i did within the hour. he was given both repair and replacement price options on his voicemail because he did not answer when i called back. by this time it is quite obvious to me i am being used by [member name removed] for my knowledge so that he can make his own repairs. thats alright, it happens occassionally tho from here on out he will need to seek free info elsewhere. after his lack of any appreciation for my time and knowledge AND his colorful review of me he has been redflagged in my system. good luck on trying it again and maybe you should try the manufacturer next time. He said he would recommend getting a new washer, for the cost to fix the problem would be just under what you could buy a new one for. He did recommend a certain brand, which we wanted to purchase, but decided not to, since we could purchase a different brand, through Best Buy, without paying all the money up front, with no interest for a year. He had a used washer, loaded in the back of his truck, he was in the process of bringing us to purchase, but due to an accident he and his son were involved in that day, he did not. He was very nice and explained things very understandable, so I would call on him again in the future.

Randy is very knowledgeable and efficient. I was particularly surprised and pleased that he was able to find the replacement part and complete the repair so quickly.
Description of Work: We called Randy to repair our malfunctioning Whirlpool electric oven. He diagnosed a bad controller board and replaced the board with a new one. Service was completed in one afternoon and completely fixed the problem.

He spent the time to explain all the details of the problem and the options for repairing it via the warranty. We were impressed with his professionalism and willingness to explain options even though he stated he is not signed up as a warranty repair person and therefore wouldn't be receiving the further business for this particular job. We would definitely contact him again with a large appliance problem.
Description of Work: We had a huge noise in a 2.5 year old front load Maytag (Whirlpool) washer. He did a trouble shooting analysis of the problem -- broken tub axle.

Randy came back after the part arrived and put in the heating element. It was $105 for the part and $25 for labor and 11 for tax Randy said my dryer should last a long time. He is always honest and very reasonable with service and labor. Have recommended him to several people.
Description of Work: My dryer wasn't heating. Randy came out looked at dryer & said it was the heating element. He had to order the part. The service call was $54

Of course the machine behaved beautifully...hard to fix something that does not seem broken! He fully tested various cycles and told me about the part that could be replaced if problems continue. Randy explained to me what might be happening, why something can be an intermittent problem, and the suggestions he gave were excellent. Great service. I don't want the machine to quit but if it does- I know who I'll call! note: 10/2/2013 Machine is still going strong. Now every choice of types of wash, the "colors" setting is one to avoid. But, without Randy's information and descriptions of things, we might have just given up and bought a new machine. Thankfully he gave me hope that it may just be an intermittant thing, and that is in fact the way this has turned out. He could have insisted on repair parts and hours to do the repairs and frankly, I wouldn't know enough to say "no". We would just have gone without a washer. But Randy was a true service provider, he was not trying to get money from me and was genuine in his descriptions and advice. Very thankful for such a respectable person, I know I can call on him and he will be truthful and trustworthy!
