Harvey West came out the same day we called. That was nice. The tech installed a sink and new faucet. He did an excellent job. My only complaint was price. They charged $675 for two hours of work - all labor and no parts. That is ridiculous!! Yes, they gave us the price up front and we could have turned it down, but didn't since the wife wanted the work done at that moment. I just do not respect any company that charges that kind of price for basic labor services. I will not use them again and will get an estimate beforehand next time. My big mistake.

It was wonderful and they were great. They got the job done in about 30 minutes. The plumber was very friendly and everyone that I spoke with was friendly. They were very prompt and really fast.

The installation took place over 2 days. As 1 of the water heaters was not a standard size (65 gallons), so we had to wait a couple of days to receive and install it. The installation of all 3 water heaters went very smooth. The only issue was on the first day when the some of the carpet on the stairs got dirty due to 1 of the water heaters starting to rust out. Tony made sure the stairs got cleaned up and the dirt removed. The 2nd day, the stairs were covered and additonal precautions taken to ensure there were no issues. Tony (and his helpers) did a great job installing all 3 water heaters. Tony was very professional and kept me in the loop througout the installation process, and walked me through the new water heaters when the installation was completed.

Came promptly and cleared toilet. I must not have understood the certificate I purchased as I thought the cost of the certificate was the cost of the work. Was charged way more than I would have paid otherwise. Provider was professional, the price was just the surprise. Would not use this provider again because of the price.

I recenlty had a new shower fixture installed and did not realize when I checked it that the shower handled did not go all the way to the left therefore I only had luke warm water. The guy that installed it had been giving me the run around so I purchsed the $20 for $100 deal. When I called to schedule the appointment I explained the problem to the person that answered the phone. She did tell me about the $39 fee that is part of the $100. I figured okay it can't possibly cost $75 to fix the handle. The guys came out and explained that the offer included an inspection of the hot water heater and other plumbing fixtures but I declined as I just wanted to get this minor issue fixed. The went upstairs, fixed the problem and adjusted the cartridge controlling the heat. The guys were very friendly and courteous. I had a very good experience.

Yes, I'm one of those people who are never satisfied. Like you, I have stories of disappointment and a string of bad experiences over the years. That all changed today when I had Harvey West Plumbing come out to replace my Hot Water Heater. Not only were they prompt and professional, but they were also extremely careful and clean. Dustin and Aaron were just about the most knowledgeable and courteous workers I can remeber. What's even crazier is that I had Harvey West Plumbing do my other Hot Water Heater a couple of years ago with two completely different guys that were great too. I'm starting to think this is just the way they do business. Moreover, when this Hot Water Heater went bad I called John (their service manager) to troubleshoot the situation. He must have spent an hour on the phone with me going through all the steps and details until I was completely certain and comfortable with things. To put a cap on the whole experience, when I called to schedule the delivery with their dispatcher, Emelia, she told me about a coupon I could use to save another $50. My only regret is that I don't have more Hot Water Heaters so I can ensure these gus stay in business. Very refreshing to stumble on a good experience and great company like this. I hope you give them a chance as well. I need them around when I call again in 10 years.

There were no troubles with scheduling the appointment and they arrived on time. However, our experience with them was terrible. They came out and their estimate for the repairs was exceedingly high. We did have to pay additional costs beyond the price of the deal just for them coming out. They told us that we needed certain things fixed that ended up not needing to be fixed. We just needed a washer in the shower and he had tried to say we needed a whole new unit. It has been fine ever since the washer was put in by another plumber. They did say they would fix one small thing for $65. We called another plumber and they were able to repair everything for several hundred dollars less. The other plumber charged us no fees at all for what Harvey West estimated $65 for. I was very disappointed in the whole experience with them.

When I made the appointment over the phone, I told them what I thought the problem was. I asked them for an approximate estimate, realizing it couldn't really be determined until they inspected the faucet. They told me about the $39 service call fee, which I agreed to. They were on time for the appointment, made the repair, which was a broken outside faucet pipe. They went in through the outside brick and made the brick repair when they were done with the faucet repair. My husband also opted to have them check all our faucets and tankless water heater for a fee of $149 (which is good for a year,) and this INCLUDED the $39 service fee. They gave us a 10% discount on the outside faucet repair, so the total cost of the visit was about $445; $149 for the overall plumbing check and $296 for the repair. Overall I thought this was very reasonable.

They were courteous and professional. The way the ad was posted was misleading. I am going to get a refund for the deal.

Harvey West's owner and young tech came out to the house to do a leak test. With the foundation shifting, wanted to make sure that the pipes didn't have any leaks in them. They stopped up all the pipes, filled them with water and waited 30 minutes to see if the level of water had moved. Thankfully it didn't and held the water at the same level as it was filled. We do not have have any leaks in the pipes under the foundation. I've used Harvey West Plumbing several times and have always found them to be professional and knowledgeable and would highly recommend them. While I find their prices a little steep, the quality of their work makes up for that.

I had 6 companies that were A rated on Angie's List provide me a quote to remove 2 old water heaters in our attic and replace with 2 Rheem 50 gallon professional classic plus models with an extended 12 year warranty. I narrowed it down to Harvey West and a competitor based on price as all of them had strong reviews. Since I had used Harvey West in the past and since Dustin said they could work me in to their schedule quickly, I decided to go with them. Dustin was very thorough with his quote and answered all questions I had. On the job day, he was very prompt at arriving to our house and explained what he was going to do. He and his teammate removed the old water heaters, installed the new ones, hooked up the electrical wiring, installed a flood stop device and then walked me through everything he did. He was very thorough and professional the entire time. I would definitely recommend and use them again for future services.

I purchased this deal because at first glance, Harvey West Plumbing gets an A rating. However, after having spoken to their service rep and perusing/filtering through their reviews from customers with whom have used the $20 for $100 deal, I would not like to use Harvey to install a new toilet. Seems like these customers felt overcharged to make up for the promo and I felt uncomfortable with a company that doesn't give estimates over the phone. They'd also charge a service fee just to come out to give an estimate. Nothing about this deal after I prematurely jumped on it felt right. I over-relied on the A-rating.

I would recommend this company again and use their services again if I ever have any plumbing needs.

fixed a leak in a PVC pipe when there was a one more leak 12 inches away. He quoted 180 more for fixing that. So basically i got nothing for the money he charged me. I got another plumber who changed the entire pipe for 125 flat.

I purchased Angie's List deal costing $20 for $100 worth of service. They called right away to set up the appointment. As it worked out, they could come out the same day. At this point, they inform me there is a $39 fee just for showing up. However, since this was going to be very quick, I figured I still had $65 to make the quick replacement. The service guy called within the appointment window and got to my door at 3:35. When I showed him the spout, he told me the cheapest charge the company has is $149 plus the $39 fee. At this point, I feel stuck as they are in my house and I just need this done. 30 minutes later, they are on their way out but I've had to pay them an additional $80 dollars. I need to give the service guys a good review because they were prompt, polite, on time, wore shoe covers, got the job done quickly, and the problem is solved. However, the company does not get a good review as I feel they are less than straight forward with their deal. Nowhere on the printed coupon does it say anything about the $39 service call fee. Furthermore, most companies I have used apply the fee to the quote once you agree to have the work done. It is truly not an honest business practice. I will not be using them again for this reason nor will I recommend them.

They called me and let me know that they didn’t service my area and that I would have to contact Angie’s List to get a refund.

Neutral impression. First they called (very polite), in follow-up to my request that someone check my refrigerator to see if it is level. It has been making loud noises when the compressor shuts off, which would be either compressor about to go out or refrigerator needs to be more level. They suggested I get a refund of coupon, but I decided to wait. Today I called to see if the $20 coupon would cover their coming out to install a water filtration thing (Brita or PUR) onto my kitchen water faucet. But the extra cost would be, they estimated about $70. Just too much! ! ! ! So I would rather not use the coupon, these people are too expensive, and the $20 "savings" would lead into some major expenditures of added costs to get here and hourly charges that seem way too high. My opinion.

The gentleman arrived a little late but did call ahead to let me know. Jeff inspected my current disposal to determine why it wasn't working to discover a large crack on the side. We decided to replace the disposal and he showed me several options (he didn't try to over sell the disposals - which I hate) he was very patience in explaining each options and we decided on the 1/2 HP. He did the installation right then and we're very pleased with the work.

Very well. They were very helpful in scheduling my appointment around my work schedule. Dustin was very knowledgeable, nice, helpful and professional. I will definitely use them again.

Waste of time and money. I would never use this provider again. It's the classic bait and switch.
