As far as their actual services, I have to go on with what my mother told me and she said they didn't go over their estimate. They were quick and they fixed the problem.

I had Harvey West Plumbing replace my gas water heater, water flex lines, and emergency water shutoff valve. Dustin and the other plumber did an excellent job. They explained exacting what they were going to do and provided an accurate estimate beforehand. I purchased the Angie's List deal which saved me a net $100. The total cost also included the city permit for $105. I'm very happy with my experience dealing with Harvey West Plumbing and will use them again for my plumbing needs.

These guys were on time, on both occasions I've used them, and were always well-dressed (uniforms) as well as professional. On both occasions I've used them, they have been very fair with their pricing, and they handled all permits from the city. They've always provided me with options, priced out the different options, and fully disclosed what the work would cost, the time it would take to perform the work, etc. Honest, and straightforward. I had them install a new water heater, and the city inspector came out soon after, and told me that the work was well done, and it easily passed inspection. The kitchen water faucet/sprayer they installed also came out very nice, as it was a difficult install, which came out great! I would easily recommend this company to others, and I would say that their work is high quality.

Please don't but an Angie's List "deal" from Harvey West expecting to get any kind of deal. We needed something so simple, our kitchen faucet was loose- wiggles a little bit. And oh by the way Mr. Plumber, while you're out here, will you check out our garbage disposal that seems to be jammed. Sure no problem....that will be $170 to tighten (apparently they need to take it off and reset it) for the faucet and $200 to check out the garbage disposal (no guarantees that the $200 will resolve the issue, but they'll check it out). Plus the $39 service call. What would likely take this guy an hour or less of time, with no parts, was going to be $400. We told him thanks but no thanks, and sent him away. I understand these companies don't make much off these deals, but they could at least use them to create some goodwill and leave people with a positive experience. Nope, not in this case. And by reading the reviews it seems that a lot of other people have had the same experience. Wish it would have worked out better.

The gentleman did come out almost immediately, and he arrived on time. Unfortunately, it was a somewhat disappointing experience because he wasn't able to resolve our issue.

the issue is repaired. the cost was a bit high even though we had a service contract through the company. the shower was left with dirt and debris on the floor, shelves and handles.

The service was over priced, I felt pressured into the service, the moved a garbage disposal from the left sink to the right, reversed hot and cold valves, said they couldn't use existing drain pipes and charged me 40 dollars for the new plastic pipe. The same pipe at Lowe's is 4 dollars. Also it was over 300 dollars, it took less than a hour from start to finish, including calling the office to not charge me over a 100 dollars to install the new pipes. They know the deal and it's built in to what they are going to charge you. The only way for the consumer to feel and get a good deal is not to have so many loop holes in the deal where as they can take advantage of the consumer. The employee even joked, how do you think we can ride around in Mercedes service vans.

They are fabulous and we have used them two other times since. They come professionally dressed and put things over their shoes when they were in the house. They were very professional. The leak came back and they came back out for free to fix it. They also give out coupons and sent a thank you card in the mail. They went above and beyond for us.

The price was very good. They were quick. They provided real quick service when I needed them. I would give them A for all.

When he came he said that there would be a $39.00 service fee, with $100.00 off any service. Then after he installed it he said that it would be 266.50, and he said that included the $100.00 off. He told me that was the going rate, and that I got a deal. I was very angry, I was expecting the big deal, so I was not expecting it to cost that much. I thought that it was going to be $266.50 then he was going to deduct the $100.00. My rating are to reflect my experience with the company not just the plumber that came to my house. The plumber that came deserves an A... however the company does not.

All work beautifully performed and met expectations.

Dustin Deweese came on time and performed an excellent job. I asked him to do 2 more jobs after this and in all jobs he made sure everything clean and functioning well. I really pleased with his job. Price wise are high but you need to pay the price for an excellent job.

We paid the $20 for $100 worth of plumbing services, figuring that it would cost that and maybe a little more, to replace a plumbing (shower) fixture in guest bathroom that had been leaking. When he arrived, he looked at the job, informed us that he would have to tear out some tiles around the shower faucet, then replace the fixture. We would have had to hire another person to come and fix the tiles. Same scenario to fix a hose spigot in the front of our house (except that we would need someone to replace the brick he would have to demolish to get to the spigot). We wanted to replace the two sink faucets to match the new shower fixture and had all materials there. The estimate to fix the shower and install the two new faucets exceeded $1,000. Another $200+ for the spigot out front. When we declined to have them do the work, he politely asked for the $39.95 service call fee for his coming to our home. I had the choice of either paying the fee, or using my $100 certificate for plumbing work to pay for a one year 'service call discount' for them to come and fix problems I might have. Of course it would be at their rate, but I wouldn't have to pay the service fee! To make a long story short, my $20 purchased a service fee discount for their company which I would not ever use due to inflated costs. Result? I'm out $20, except for the pleasure of Dustin's company for two hours telling me how much it would cost to fix these things. Live and learn. Oh, by the way, I had the bathroom job done, replacing all three fixtures and replacing the tile and grout around the shower by the remodeler who was tiling my master bathroom! Seems he had the ability to fix the entire problem for $250.

He checked all of the plumbing and water heaters and gave his expertise on what was needed and ways to approach specific adjustments (what could wait, how to save cost, etc). Very professional and friendly and we plan to use again in the future.

I had them replace my older faucet. The service man didn’t come on time so they sent someone else. I had to wait. The job was good. However, the quote that they gave was a little high. I was desperate to get the job done so I had to do the job anyway.

The service repairman spent the first 30 minutes (no exaggeration) trying to sell me extra services, products, and warranties. I told him that I only wanted the problem fixed and that I had a $100 coupon from Angie's List. After some question about whether he would accept the coupon (i didn't buy it 24 hours in advance), his boss allowed him to accept it. He finally had me sign a blank iPad indicating that I was agreeing to $144. I told him that I suspected the issue was with the vent to the roof (mud-daubers galore!), but he started with snaking the shower. He didn't get anything out of the drain, so he went to the roof and tried to hand-snake the vent. He still got nothing, so he informed me that he would need to take the snake-machine to the roof, and that would cost extra (wish he would have told me that there were potential add-ons BEFORE I signed the agreement!). I felt that I HAD to agree to it since he didn't find any major clogs anywhere else. He went to the roof with the snake and after a long time working he still got nothing out of it. He found the clean-outs for that bathroom and had me flush a couple of times, where he confirmed that water was flowing. We finally decided to call it a day because the gurgling was gone and the shower was now running fine. I ended up paying him $289 (after using the$100 Angie's List coupon)!! I feel that I was bombarded with a ton of extras that he tried to make sound like were necessary, but were not. Then, when he realized I had a coupon, he tacked on more services (that we are not even sure fixed the problem) to make up the cost of the coupon. I feel like I got tricked into paying a higher price than I should have, and I won't be using Harvey West Plumbing again.

They did what they said and I actually ended up fixing the problem as it wasn't as bad as I thought

It was not so great and they did not fix the problem. The new lever lasted about 2-3 days and broke. We called another plumber to take care of it. The scheduling with them was okay.

Two contractors came out and were very thorough and professional. They did an inspection of all the plumbing points of contact and explained why the price for a slab leak test would be so expensive (I didn't have proper water entry points and they would have to dig and install them). This is why I gave them a "D" for price because I wound up solving my problems for a grand total of $250 but went an alternate route. They asked why I thought I might have a leak and I explained that I was told to check for one from my foundation expert as my slab foundation shouldn't shift as much as it has. I also explained the low water pressure in the showers. Per the inspection, they removed the water saver inserts in the shower head that the original plumbing inspector had missed which fixed the problem there. Price for the special job aside, they were very professional and helpful, I just would not pay for their slab leak test when more thorough, low-cost alternatives exist. I would not hesitate to call them back if I experienced other plumbing problems, however.

It went fine. I was surprised that additional services were very expensive. I felt like I was trapped to get more money out of me. Then they tried to sell me additional services.

Leo was our technician. He was very professional. He listened to our questions and performed testing to eliminate concerns. He made multiple recommendations to correct or avoid other issues in the shower area.

I refused to pay someone to come out and look at a job just to tell me if they can do it or not. Charging before work is done is ridiculous.

it went very well they were very polite and did a full check of all bathrooms and sinks. they were on time and very professional. I would surly use them again in the future.
