We had a great experience. This was our second time to use Focal Point and in both cases Ted visited the site ahead of time and provided us with design ideas and feedback on the project. Once we decided on a plan he followed up with a detailed bid. When it was time to do the job Ted's crew was on the site at 8:00 am every day and the work was done exactly as promised. The whole process from start to finish was very professional.

The experience with owner Ted and Focal Point Landscaping was excellent. He came to the house several times to consult and share ideas. Once he had a design, he came back over to discuss it and answer questions. He also met us at Outdoor Warehouse to consult on the type of stone that would go best with our design and house. Once the project started, the team was punctual and stayed on task. We were able to ask questions throughout the project and adjust as we went, to ensure the best outcome. After the project was complete, Ted came back over to ensure everything was perfect, and even made a trip to Home Depot to fix a sprinkler head that wasn’t working properly. I loved everything about the whole process and we are thrilled with the final result. We would 100% work with this company again and recommend them to everyone who needs landscape work.

Excellent. Called them on Monday afternoon and the job was done in less than 24 hours. I enjoyed working with Ted and his crew. It was a fantastic process. I called and Ted got back to me within a day to schedule a quote. We were then scheduled for work to be done which was very dependent on the Texas weather but they were very upfront on that. They came and finished the project in 3.5 days. They laid all new sod, installed French drains for gutters in the backyard, laid down a flagstone path with rocks in between. It looks amazing!!!

This is the second time I have used Focal Point Landscaping. Ted was part of the landscape installation for my first house so I really wanted him to do my second house therefore I was a little disappointed that he was not on site for the landscaping process on my second home. That was one of the main reasons why I wanted to hire him the second time. For this project, I had flower beds stone edge installed, a tree planted, and it few landscape boulders added. Overall the two guys did a good job. I had to message Ted of an issue with the flower bed installment and he was very responsive in getting it corrected. I will definitely use Ted again in the future because he is professional, responsive, and does provide quality work.

We have used Focal Point Landscape at every house we've owned for our landscape projects (8+ years) and are always very pleased with the outcome! Ted and his crew are great...he is always available for follow-up questions, etc. We have referred him throughout the years to friends and neighbors who liked our landscape and they have had the same experience.

Ted Nichols and Focal Point Landscaping were a great find for us. Ted's knowledge of plants and conditions was excellent. He and his crew worked long hours for 6 1/2 days digging trenches, trimming large trees, creating a berm, sodding lawn, planting bushes and plants. This was mid-August so not an easy job in the hot sun! We are extremely happy with the outcome. As for the drainage, since we haven't had a decent rain, we are hoping that his well-laid plans will take care of our prior problems. We felt his pricing was very reasonable for this large job and that the job was completed in record time. We highly recommend him to all in need of a Landscape Architect.

I have put in complete lawns for two other homes and this was without a doubt the best experience I have had. It went great. Ted came up with a very thoughtful flower bed design for the front and back of our house with a nice blend of low maintenance perennial plants. His team was on time and did quality work. The end results exceeded our expectations. I would certainly hire them again.

We used Focal Point Landscaping for a large amount of work, including: removal of existing landscaping in front and back yards, installation of French Drains front, sides, and back, irrigation system improvements (including of drip irrigation around the foundation), some sod installation, and design and installation of new landscaping front an back. Ted and his crew were excellent from start to finish! Up front, Ted spent plenty of time with us to listen to our preferences for landscaping (low maintenance, water efficient) and offered numerous options in line with those. He was also flexible when we later revisited some of our earlier decisions. The crew was on time, efficient, and remarkably neat. Considering the amount and type of work we had done I was expecting a mess - but everything was clean at the end of each day! Communication was excellent throughout with Ted responding to every message I sent promptly. After the job was done, Ted took time to walk me through operation of the new sprinkler controller, and wrote down recommendations for a watering schedule to get things off to a good start. Sure, you can always get work done at a lower cost, but we got several bids and Ted's pricing was reasonable for the excellent quality and professionalism. The new landscaping looks great and we ware enjoying it tremendously. Would highly recommend you give Focal point a call for your landscaping needs!
