Ted and his crew were the best!! We totally landscaped our back and front yard, including adding a bocce ball court, fire pit, and new sod. The work the did was top notch, they were very professional, and did it all very quickly considering the amount of work it was! If you are looking for a landscaper, look no further than Focal Point and Ted Nichols. You can't go wrong!

We lost several plants to the cold weather in Feb 2021. Ted and company replaced them, added annuals for seasonal color, mulched beds and trimmed existing shrubs. We love our yard and get compliments from everyone who visits.

This was my third time to use Focal Point and have been very pleased with the results each time. Ted is very helpful during the design process with ideas and feedback, and his team is fast and efficient in doing the job. Focal Point doesn't have crews all over town on multiple jobs so the owner, Ted, can focus on and oversee the job at hand before moving to then next one. I would highly recommend Focal Point and will use them again for my next job.

Arrived promptly and ready to begin work. Estimated one day to complete a simple clean up, new sprinklers and drip, and re-sodding of a mud pit and dilapidated garden beds. The job would have been completed in one day if not for delayed sod. The next day everything was done and cleaned up well. It’s great for the kids to play in and the garden is growing up nicely.

This is the second project we have contracted with Ted and his company, Focal Point Landscaping. Our old front landscaping consisted of tired, overgrown, formal shrubbery with no curb appeal. We wanted a less formal, more varied look, and Ted knew just what to do. Ted’s crew put in all new stone edging, soil, drip irrigation, and plants. He’s got a great eye for what works in a particular location, and we are very happy with the results.

I knew I had drainage issues, but other landscapers didn’t address it. Ted immediately noted it, and said it needed to be fixed before landscaping work, otherwise I’d have the same problems with washout and dirt accumulation I’ve had for years. He added the appropriate drains followed by updated landscaping. They also completely revamped my sprinklers. He and his crew arrived early both days and worked diligently. Ted was here virtually the entire time. I very much appreciated that he got down to the issues of my yard and not just the surface stuff. I will definitely use him again.

We were very pleased with the whole process, from developing the plot plan and picking the plants to the planting of the plants. We learned so much about how to care for each plant. It was a very enjoyable experience for my husband and me.

Ted and his crew did an absolutely awesome job with redesigning my front yard landscaping. The crew were punctual, professional and made sure everything was super clean before leaving. The job they did is gorgeous! This is my second time hiring Ted and Focal Point Landscaping. The first project was a sunken fire pit seating area several years ago. That job was incredible as well. I would not hesitate to hire Focal Point Landscaping for any other landscaping needs that I might have.

I am extremely satisfied with Focal Point Landscaping. Ted Nichols was a huge help from the very first day he came out to quote the project. He even adjusted our sprinkler settings to accommodate the type of plants/flowers we have and came back two weeks later to make sure they were getting enough water. Ted was able to take an idea my wife and I had and create an amazing design that looked much better than we could have imagined. His knowledge of architectural landscaping was impeccable. His crew was outstanding. They chiseled each stone creating a unique look, made sure each one was level and formed our steppers on site to make sure they all lined up. Two days after they finished, we had two different neighbors come by to find out who did our landscaping because it looked so good. I highly highly recommend Focal Point.

Great, Ted and his crew did an excellent job with completion in 3 days. Ted was here to supervise several times each day for me to ask questions and to make the project run smoothly. It really makes a more modern look to my front yard and side yard. As for the french drains, they were to fix my drainage problems and worked great this morning when we had heavy rain. I highly recommend this company for landscaping and drain work.

Ted’s crew was prompt and professional. Ted was there every day to supervise and get the crew started. This was a four day job that included excavation, drainage, drip irrigation, decomposed granite walkways, and plant beds. We also added a small grassy area of artificial turf. Our yard is now weekly maintenance-free. It turned out beautifully, and we plan to contract with his company again for the front yard. Ted has a real eye for the design, which is great if you’re like me and clueless as to design and which plants to use.

The project went great. On time, within budget, and outstanding results. The project included stone work, leveling, & irrigation for front and back beds, new sod, and new ornamental plants. Ted did a great job working with what we had including reusing some of our existing assets. Focal Point Landscaping will be our first call for future landscaping projects.

Wonderful experiece! Ted is more than your local landscaper. He has a degree in Landscape Architecture and it shows! He knows his plants, and what will and won't work in Texas. He also stays up to date on current trends. We had Ted landscape our front and backyards, almost a full acre worth of work. Loved his overall vision and watching his crew diligently bring it to fruition. From masonry work,and irrigation, to walking paths and new sod, he did it all and tied it all together wonderfully. We highly recommend Focal Point, and would definitely use them again!

We have worked with Ted Nichols on several projects over the last three years. Ted has designed and intalled several beds and plantings in our front and back yards. He planted two large trees and installed stone borders along our beds and around our new trees. Ted designed an attractive and functional drainage system in an area where water collected during heavy rains. His crew was skilled and cleaned up exceptionally well at the end of each day. Ted was considerate of our neighbors and never blocked our street or alley, even when unloading large truckloads of stone and dirt. We are already planning more projects for the spring.
