The owner, Ted Nichols, provided an estimate in the first part of May, based upon our input. We accepted the estimate and he said he could do the work at the end of the month. He would check back with us to set a date. Like clockwork a few days before the end of the month, Ted called, we agreed on a date and waited. Ted and his crew showed up on time, performed the services including replacing much of the clay in the bed with better soil, replacing and adjusting the sprinkler heads at no charge, planted the beds and set the stone pathway. No hidden fees, the amount was exactly what I expected. I would use Ted and Focal Point again without hesitation.

Focal Point Landscaping and Ted Nichols (owner) has been a pleasure to deal with. He did most of my initial landscaping, gave a fair bid, and the work performed exceeded my expectations. He did not try to oversell me and put something together that fit my needs. The plants he chose were a perfect fit for the areas around the house and the work was done fast and efficiently. It was great that he was involved in the entire process where he was at my house personally on numerous occasions to ensure everything was exceeding my expectations. His team has come back on a few times a year to clean and up and re-mulch anything that needed to be at a minimal cost. The few plants that died after a harsh winter were replaced as requested. I recommended Ted & team or my parents and brother, and they now both use him exclusively for their landscaping needs. I would highly recommend Focal Point landscaping to anyone that asks. Ted, the owner of Focal Point Landscaping, provided the initial design consultation and was the point of contact for all other questions, concerns, or changes. Ted was very punctual every time I was to meet him at my house. If Ted was not able to answer my phone calls, he always returned my calls in a timely manner. He was also very responsive to email as well. He maintained great communications with me throughout the entire job. I expected quality work with the finished product and services, and that is exactly what I received. Everything was done exactly as Ted and I discussed in the design stage, and he was very flexible when I decided to modify and add a few things to the design. It was very comforting to work with someone who has experience and knowledge of North Texas landscaping. Ted was very good at ensuring the design would work well with the Texas climate and location of the plantings as it pertained to the amount of sun an area would receive. The FPL crew worked quickly and, evident from the outcome, took pride in their work. They did a good job of cleaning up after various stages of work and the final clean-up when the job was finished. I would highly recommend Focal Point Landscaping to my friends and family who are looking for quality landscape work at a price that will not "break the bank". Ted was very knowledgeable on what type of material to use to compliment the stone on the front of my house. Ted started my project ahead of schedule and his crew finished the project in one day. Focal Point Landscaping was one of several landscapers we contacted to install two 12 foot by 28 foot raised garden beds. We had to pay a little more than the estimate for drainage to be installed, due to the hardscape being installed. The project took approximately three days and went smoothly. There are a few cracks in the mortar between some stones, but overall the project turned out as planned and Focal Point was easy to work with. We also advise to book your project early, since our project was pushed back several months, due to Focal Point stating the high demand of landscaping projects in spring and early summer. Overall we were happy with our completed project.

Ted Nichols, Owner of Focal Point Landscapers, Inc. was very professional & easy to work with. He came to give us an estimate on September 28th, emailed a proposal on September 30th, began work on October 8th & was completely done by October 11th! He & his crew arrived on time & were prepared to get the job done. We had only been in this newly built house for a few weeks & were VERY anxious to have the yard looking good as soon as possible since our son was getting married & guests would start arriving about 3 weeks from our first meeting. We knew we were very lucky to have someone agree to do the job so quickly, esp. during one of the busiest times of the year for Dallas area landscapers ? early Fall. We asked how he was able to work us in to his schedule so fast & he explained that the person originally scheduled that week was a past customer of his who very graciously allowed him to ?bump? her job to a later date. Having worked with Ted before, she was not worried about him ?forgetting? about her. We owe this very nice lady a BIG thank-you! At completion of the job we had a couple of very minor issues which were fixed immediately. The only reason I rated this an ?A? instead of an ?A+? was because even though I was very adamant that I only wanted a very small amount of yellow flowers in the yard, they installed a very large yellow mum in one of the new, focal point pots in the front yard.

They were great, on time, fairly priced and very professional. They did a fantastic job and many people in the neighborhood have asked for their name and number.

Nothing short of outstanding! It was estimated as a one-day job. Ted brought a great crew that arrived early, worked steady throughout the day and finished shortly before 4:30 p.m. The crew was well coordinated and nonintrusive. Cleanup was thorough and was done at least twice throughout the day. Regarding my cost for work done, my only comparison is to a Dallas organization that also submitted a quote for similar work. Their quote was considerably higher and I was not comfortable with their interpretation of what we were trying to accomplish. On the other hand, we felt very comfortable with Ted's recommendations and understanding of what we wanted. It also helped that he was a local business.

I am so pleased with the beautiful work by Focal Point Landscaping Inc. They are responsible and professional, and my home looks beautiful now. They are also reasonable compared to others of this quality.

Ted came out and did a pre-job walk through with me and we discussed the project and timeline. After our meeting he submitted a landscape design and budget. We agreed on a start date and the crew showed up on time and completed the work on schedule. I added a few things and Ted gave me a cost estimate on the spot and we agreed on a revised total. Once completed I had a walt through with Ted to make sure I was pleased with the job The project looks great and I will continue to use Focal Point Landscaping for my landscaping needs. This is the third project I have done with them and each time I have been very pleased with the results. This is a company you can trust as they always do what they say they will do, they do it on time, on budget and only with pleasant surprises. For example on one project my landscaping lighting stopped working. This was due to a different company cutting the line and Ted came out and fixed the problem for me without a charge.

The estimate that they gave me was not the lowest, but he had the best suggestions for my landscaping and I could not be happier with the results. I think they gave me the best value for the work that they did. Ted was great at answering all my questions and instructed me on the upkeep. Everyone was extremely helpful and professional. Removing the bushes and the ground cover was a huge job as it had been in place for over 30 years, but they did an excellent job. Anyone that has seen my yard before and after is very impressed with the results.
