The entire process was wonderful! It was easy to communicate with the owner, the design plan was perfect, and the workers did a great job at cleaning up.

We had a time issue, and our previous contractor was not working out. We found Focal Point by a referral from a neighbor who had similar work done by this company. We obtained a bid which was very fair, especially for quality, and we had looked around some before. We explained our time issue upon his (Ted Nichols, Owner) first visit, and wanted this job done inside 3 weeks. We signed a contract, and he started a few days later. He began when he said he would, and he finished when he said he would, with almost two weeks to spare for our timeline. It's been four days since he finished the job, and we have had different neighbors stop by every day so far, complimenting our patio, and asking who did the work as they were very impressed and wanted to do the same at their house. We gladly gave Mr. Nichol's (Focal Point) contact info and our endorsement to the neighbors who were interested. Thank you Focal Point for a very positive experience!

They have $2,500 job minimum. My job was.too small for them.

Excellent. Team was there by 8:00 each morning and worked all day. Very friendly, courteous group. Owner is very knowledgeable regarding plants, drainage issues. Work was completed on time and within budget. Second time we have used this company for major work and have been very pleased with results both times.

Ted’s company added on a flagstone patio six yrs ago when we moved to area. This was second time working with him & crew to add additional patio area, trees & shrubs.

The workers did a great job. Definitely better than most contractors I have dealt with. They left the area clean at the end of the first day. At the end of the job the entire area was totally cleaned up, the workmanship was top notch. They paid close attention to the details and I could find nothing to fault. The final patio looks great and I'm sure will last many many years. I think the reason Focal Point does so well is because Ted was actually on site working and supervising the job. Most contractors I have dealt with, the owner acted only as the salesman and didn't actively participate in the work. Ted is different and THAT makes a big difference. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We are extremely happy with our new landscaping. Ted and crew removed all the old landscaping and dug out old roots. They filled in the bed with new soil and beautiful hardy plants. They graded the yard, removed rocks and old sod, added fill where needed and installed new sod. They also repaired the sprinkler system which was in very bad condition. Ted is great to work with and his crew is very professional. He is really in demand and we had to wait several weeks for him but it was worth the wait. We now have the best yard on the block. On a separate job, Ted and his crew also completed new landscaping, irrigation and lighting around our son-in-law and daughter's new pool and did an excellent job for them as well.

We are very pleased with Ted and his crew and the work they did! They showed up when they said they would and worked hard and efficiently and quickly. Ours was a smaller project than most landscaping projects, and Ted was able to fit us in between bigger projects so our wait time for the work was minimal. As a testament to the integrity and professionalism of Ted, we realized later in the day, after the crew had left, that we'd mis-marked the area that needed to be excavated. Ted was very understanding and got his crew back out to our place 4 days later to correct our mistake. We would highly recommend Ted and his company and crew!

Ted Nichols and his team at Focal Point Landscaping did an excellent, thorough job in my backyard with the purpose of reducing major water issues in severe rain storms. Ted showed up on time, did a significant part of the work himself, explained how to maintain the yard and cleaned up the property before he left. I cannot say enough good things about the quality and overall execution. I would highly recommend Focal Point Landscaping and would hire the company again should the need arise.

The project went very well. The owner of Focal Point, Ted, was onsite for the majority of the project over seeing the work. The demo, preparation and installation was done with great care. The trees and shrubs?were selected by Ted and were mature and appear to be of exceptional?quality. The installation was done per the agree upon?plan. ?He paid great attention to details of proper drainage by grade or placement of rock work, etc. ?He also returned to ensure irrigation zone coverage was proper for all our installation.?He was attentive and responsive?to all our concerns that came up during and post?project.

As with our prior experience with Focal Point, we were impressed with Ted's promptness in returning our call, scheduling the work, and being present each day while the project was in progress. Ted was careful about leveling the area where the stone was to be laid, removing 3 to 4 inches of top soil to get a level surface for the stones. Our new patio area looks beautiful.

This was an excellent experience! As soon as I met Ted, I knew Focal Point was the company for me. Ted was very responsive through email and phone exchanges. When it came time to do the work, he and his team worked around our schedules to minimize noise disruptions during a conference call. The work is excellent! I'm excited about working in my yard again! I plan on using Focal Point in the future and am recommending to my neighbors.

Second time we have used and again had a good experience with Focal Point landscaping. Great discussion on options for the work and plants we wanted. Timing and quality of work were again great.

Incredible team/company. Ted and his guys are consummate professionals. Not only did they do a great job on the french drain install and pop-up emitters around the house, but they came back-up to fix some minor sprinkler touch-ups that I requested that they most certainly did not have to do per our contract. Highly recommended for any work of this sort. I will most certainly consult them on any jobs/upgrades I plan to do down the line.

Ted is extremely professional. We were very impressed with his responsiveness from the initial consultation, to the estimate, to his communication with us to start the job and throughout. We were a little delayed to start due to weather but we were rescheduled promptly. Ted and his crew arrived as promised and started promptly. The French drain and the tear out of the needed area was accomplished on the first day. We lost a day due to illness of the head stone mason but Ted contacted me early to let me know what was going on. He assured me they would complete the job the next day. They arrived promptly the following day and completed the majority of what was left working around some intermittent showers. The small amount of decking left to complete and the clean up was completed the final morning. I was very impressed with responsiveness to any of my concerns and when the sprinkler got a nicked wire during tear out, they fixed it immediately as well as a sprinkler head that got buried under new sod. So refreshing to deal with a contractor that responds promptly, communicates efficiently, and complete work according to plan (both in timing and design).

Overall, Ted is easy to communicate and respond very quickly to whatever questions/concerns we have. He was here everyday when the work is performed to ensure the quality of work. The removal was completed fast, but we do have some problems in communication of the plants to be removed. Some desire-to-keep plants was removed. It might be better to confirm with us about the plant to be removed again before the work is committed. Other than that, the removal was very smooth, and they clean up the sites as well. They always organize the tool very well, and leave a clean worksite whenever they are done for the day. This is very professional. The house is unattended for a while, so the trees are growing wildly. It is really a lots of work need to be done with the tree, so sad we could not go far beyond to get it clean up. And the trees might be too high for them at some point, but they managed to get the most part done nicely. And the neighbors are happy to see that. It has been four weeks since they planted the grass and now it is all green in my house. Really glad to see that! They did the right job to make it happen!

Did had excellent ideas for lighting and landscaping. We are very pleased with the work that was done.
