Went fine, work was performed as stated.

Painters came in and completed on – time, which is what I expected.

Excellent job, very thorough, pride in work.

The painter arrived on time 9:15 but left to get suppers but did not return, I call manual the supervisor & he act another workers out port away. They expected the job in working like manner.

At first I was very impressed with the professionalism of George the project manager, as well as the quote that I received. The quote outlined that they would only use whichever sink I allowed to clean equipment and just overall very detailed. I had specifically asked that they start painting downstairs because once the movers showed up I didn't care if they were not done with the guest rooms. They started upstairs and were not finished with the master bedroom when the movers arrived. Because of liability reasons the movers were not allowed to bring anything into the master bedroom - so everything went into the garage for me to move later. Not a huge deal, though not ideal. After all the work was done I was asked to do a walk thru and see if there were any areas to be touched up - now thinking back we were touching up everywhere bathrooms included, with 1 single can of paint. Mind you not all walls were dry at this point, so when I was seeing "shine" I thought the paint was still wet. It wasn't. What I think happened is that the team ran out of the eggshell paint, and because everything was the same color they mixed the sheens of paint. So now I have tiger stripes of different finishes of paint over ALL of my walls. Every single room in my home was affected. After speaking to the owner, he told us his quote did not include the Regal Select paints as I had indicated, I would gladly have paid extra to get the quality paint I requested. There was one wall in particular that looked horrible, 2 painters came to redo this wall. I was told by the lead painter that his guys had messed up and used the 2 sheens, then the day they came to repair the wall the same painter told me that it was because the paint required 2 coats and I would need to pay for more paint and pay an additional $300 for his work that day. I won't even get into more specifics but bottom line I did not get the washable paint I requested and will eventually have to pay to get what I wanted because I have tiger stripes all over my house. I am not happy and I will not be using 5 star again.

It went well! The crew arrived on time. Jorge walked through each area with me & discussed paint options. The crew started right away & finished quickly. When they finished Jorge walked w/ me to check things over & took care of a few spots that needed retouched. They were all very professional & really nice!

Estimator was on time, had estimate before he left. First crew that showed up (on schedule) walked off job. They had a diff grent crew back the next day and everything went fine.

The painters did an okay job, but the business model is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me explain...... JP Ortiz gave me a quote to which I agreed. I showed him all the paint colors, which were pale neutrals to replace the existing pale neutrals with the exception of one door. The painters were cleaning their brushes to leave when I showed them missed areas on the doors with the pale beige paint, thinking they just did not see it, as it was pale neutral beige covering pale beige. They said they cold not fix it, as it would constitute a second coat, and they were not authorized to paint a second coat. Then Manuel Flores, the project manager, showed up. I thought we would have a reasonable discussion, but he said if I wanted the doors 'fixed', I would need to pay for a second coat, as that was not part of the estimate. I explained that the estimator should know and inform me that the doors would need a second coat when placing a bid, as he is the paint professional, not me. But he held his ground, and I paid more to have each door painted properly....At that point, I had no choice. To expect a client to know the paint business is absurd!!! So, it is a shell game in the end. If you want the job done properly the first time, it will cost you more, as their business model is an ALA' CARTE menu....and you are their clueless victim. BEWARE!!!!!! A further note, I hired another company this year (DFW Improved) to paint three rooms (walls, trim & ceiling), and the experience was nothing like unpleasantness with 5-Star. It renewed my faith in professionals, as DFW Improved actually cared about doing the job correctly the first time, and the project manager was on top of the crew to ensure customer satisfaction.

In my opinion, customer service is not part of their plan. Zero follow up in spite of repeated requests. When they began my job, I was not happy with the lack of progress made and the size of the crew (not as indicated by the scheduler). I contacted Stacy, who was out of town. The person answering the phone in her absence just referred me right back to Gemma, who came over to view what was going on; however, it was clear she did not have any authority to get more painters on the job or the time to drop by during the day to see what was going on at my house. I called Brian who quoted and priced the job; he stated Josh was "in charge" and would give me a call. No call. When Gemma called me to come "approve" the job, I showed her all of the places that were not painted at all which were in the quote, where they spilled paint on my hardwood floors, where they either did not use the same color or did not do a good job, where they did not re-install switch plates and outlet covers, and areas that were simply not painted correctly. She tried to get the things corrected and some of them were; however, it was still a very half-hearted effort. I finally decided I would wait for Stacy to get back to me after her vacation as promised. Never heard from her. I finally contacted Stacy two weeks after she was to return from vacation. She argued with me about what was promised and made the statement, "I understood you weren't there while they were painting," as the defense for the "crew of two" sitting on their cell phones instead of doing the work. I could see we were getting nowhere fast, so I decided to approach it a different way. I stated that instead of debating issues, I would like to invite someone in charge to come to my home and look at the "finished product." If that person agreed the job was completed to their satisfaction, I would drop it and hire another company to come in and fix it to my satisfaction. She told me I would get a call from Josh. I explained I had been promised this two weeks ago by Brian and never heard from him. She was obviously annoyed with me and said, "You WILL get a call back from him later today or tomorrow at the latest." It has been two weeks since that phone call and needless to say, I still have not heard a word from Josh. I also have not received any follow up from anyone else in the company. By the way, I have used Five Star in other areas and have been totally happy with their quality service, attention to detail, and follow up. As a broker, I have used them in six other States and have recommended Five Star to multiple clients and other real estate agents. After spending $14K+, I would expect at least a return phone call. Their company motto of "Leading the Service Industry"? Not! I will not be recommending them and would strongly suggest Dwyer Group re-look at this franchisee. UPDATE 10-8-2016 Sprayed only, poor communication, not truthful. When I tried to contact them MULTIPLE times, they were non-responsive. I noticed they responded to my last review with another lie, stating the last time I called was July 2nd, which Stacey is very aware is not the case. I called all the way through July and August with NO return phone call. I would respect them a lot more if they at least did not lie about communication. Were they on holiday for July 4th for a month? NO! They were not. What a group of dishonest people!!! Prove the last time you heard from me was July 2nd; and, keep in mind, I have my phone records from Verizon . . . so, I can prove you are lying. I would encourage anyone considering hiring them to call a few of the "unhappy people" . . . my guess is they are all telling the truth about their experience. If it is really easy job with not a lot of quality needed, I am sure they do a fine job of slopping paint on.

Very well... Christian was very professional, courteous & did a very good job on the exterior paint job. The crew was careful not to damage property & did a good job cleaning up.

It went really well, I would only say there was once since of communication that they workers didn't speak English very well. The supervisor that came out did speak English and he came out to translate. But did understand the work that needed to be done. Not a complaint at all.
