Horrible!! They put a wrong shade per their own understanding and all I’m getting is an apology and that if I pay again they can correct their MISTAKE ‼️‼️ PLEASE STAY AWAY From This FIVE STAR ❌ I’m attaching the original color picture (jet Black) verses the grayish black they put on my garage and it doesn’t match anything!!!

They were very reasonably priced, and did an excellent job. After the job was completed, they made sure everything was done to our satisfaction, and addressed any areas of concern that we had. They didn't take payment until we were 100% satisfied.

They did not paint 2 coats on all areas as paid for. When I called them to come and finish the job, they underhandedly tried to get an additional $300 out of me the day before job is to be performed . Their excuse they made a mistake on the estimate. I tried to negotiate and they refused I feel they just did not want to work with me .

Having never worked with this company before, I was extremely nervous about getting some expensive NEW cabinetry painted, especially after recently having some other bad contractor experiences. I worked with Josh and really appreciated his quick responses to my emails/texts/phone calls. They have a great pricing system that churns out a detailed estimate, literally at the blink of an eye, so there's no agony of playing the waiting game for pricing. They did not come in the cheapest on estimate but gave me the impression that they have the most experience working with cabinetry, which was my top priority. The crew of 2 that did our work was quick, clean, and job started and ended w/in estimated time frames. They leave leftover paint (if there is any) in case you need to do touch-ups after project is complete. Gema, our project manager, was also a pleasure to work with! As with most remodel work, there were some hiccups and learning experiences, nothing that was overly terrifying or didn't get fixed. All in all, they've made my short list of contractors that I would hire again for future projects and be comfortable referring to friends.

Hired Five Star Painting to paint several rooms and touch up various walls. The crew arrived each day on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. Would definitely hire Five Star Painting again!

Discussed with sales person what we wanted done, but the crew did not replace wood that we wanted to replace. After painting he said that he went to home depot and they didn't have our siding there. Seems like there wasn't a lot of effort put into finding the boards. Instead they just took the cost of replacement off our total. There was another issue where our first contractor quit, but I think it was a one time issue and the company worked hard to fix right away. I got a little concerned as the crew was already painting on the first day. I thought they were going to prep the first day and paint the second, but maybe they are just that fast. Overall we like the paint and think we got a decent price for what we got.

The first thing to know about Five Start Painting is that they use "independent contractors" for their crews. Unfortunately the crew that was initially sent out to my job was new and did an absolutely terrible job, not to mention left my house a mess. The repair jobs and floating of the ceiling was so bad it was worse in places than before the work. The good news is that Five Star Painting stood behind their work and sent out a much better crew to fix all the work. The second crew was as amazing as the first crew was terrible. In the end I am very happy with the work performed even if it took much longer and was a much bigger hassle than anticipated. I'm willing to bet the first crew is either no longer part of the company or will be doing some serious retraining before being sent out on another job. It was very difficult to rank them because the initial crews would have gotten Fs but the final work was A+ quality.

"We were guaranteed a one-coat coverage and when the painters were painting, they decided on their own, without advising me or the project manager that they were going to do a 2nd coat. That is fine, but they only did the 2nd coat with the roller and had already taken all the tape and edging off. It look absolutely horrible when they said they were done. After consulting with my project manager, Bobby, he made sure to not charge me for the 2nd coat and they did end up going back through all the edging but they did not retape, so it still looks choppy on the edging. They made quite a mess on different parts of our carpet and throughout the house. I am very disappointed in the quality of the work that was done." After following-up with me based on my Angie's List review, they did come back and fix everything to my satisfaction. I appreciate them working with me to do so.

I own a top rated company on Angie's List. I was seeking for a similar company and found it with this painting company. Their staff was responsive, professional, detail oriented and friendly. Pricing was incredibly fair. I would use this company again and again for painting needs!

Very well. Looks good They removed the popcorn finish and put up a trowelled texture and painted it. Also had several room walls painted.

It started out well. Jeff came out was very personable and gave what I thought was a reasonable quote. He told me that the scheduler would call and the job would start Monday. This was great because I needed the job to start right away. This was on a Thursday. Now the downhill - scheduler didn’t call. Monday morning came still no calll. I called Jeff to ask if they were still coming and he was very apologetic and then told me i would hear from the scheduler at 1pm as she would not be at work until then. Really? She finally calls later only to tell me she wouldn’t be able to put me on the schedule because of the potential for rain and cold and that i would receive a call later in the week. I went with my first mind and called another Angies List painter and got the job completed and it was professionally done without the excuses of rain and cold in addition the quote was $400 less. Yes it rained but the job was indoors not an exterior paint job and no it was not cold. I would still be waiting for that call back from 5 Star if I had not decided that they were flakey because it is now Thursday again and i still have not heard from them. Do yourself a favor and only contract with a company that has all “A’s”. Stay away from C’s, D’s and F’s- there are too many other choices. A complete waste of time!

5 Star was the only paint company to respond to my request for a Bid. Their rep met me and handed me a bid once he inspected the job. Scheduling was immediate and the painting was completed on time and on budget. I would recommend these guys for your projects.

Mostly it went well, there was a lot of work involved. However the quality was most definitely worth the price we paid and I would not hire again.

Everyone I worked with was very professional and they finished ahead of schedule. I highly recommend their service.

The estimator was on-time, courteous and performed a fairly detailed estimate in a reasonable amount of time. I feel the crew that did the work was too small for the job as it was estimated to take 3-4 days but ended up taking 5 very long days. The workers were polite and diligent but we had to frequently point out uneven edges, drips and splatters to be cleaned up. They fixed these without much more prompting but it would have been good had they inspected the work and not relied on us to find these things afterwards. The project manager showed up infrequently and when we pointed out things like window ledges that had not been painted he haggled with us over whether these were included in the estimate. Finally, we had them re-stain and lacquer the stair rails. This did not turn out well and I will need to redo this myself. All in all the painting - with the exception of the stair rails - looks good but it was a mixed experience.

Went very well. Arrived on time and finished sooner than estimated. Did an excellent job. I would use again.

They were great. They did a great job. They're a great company. Make sure you understand everything they are going to do. We had some staining done. Evidently, different from painting. What they did on staining is not really what I expected them to do, it's not really wanted to do but when they explained to me how they do it, it made perfect sense. They didn't really explain that when the estimator comes out. I say make everything clear with the estimator and then with the supervisor too. Don't assume they can read your mind.

The over all job went well. The front door required a second coat which they provided in a timely manner.

Everything went great! They did an excellent job of providing colors and covered all my interior including some baseboards in one application.

Everything went great--from appointment setup process to walk-through at end of project. They finished job in little less than two days. Quality was top-notch. They were half as much as one of the bids and 20% lower than next highest.

They got the job done at the estimated price and the house looks very good, so no problems there. My issues with Five Star are in the details, and are as follows: sometimes the painter showed up before 8, sometimes he showed up at 10, except for the day they cancelled for rain there was never any communication about when, or if, someone would be on my property; there were a few touch up jobs to do, I returned home from a business trip to find they hadn't been done yet, when I inquired, it turns out the painter's truck had been broken down all week. That's generally not a problem if someone had let me know, but no one knew about that all week?; The quote promises "professional cleanup" and either that was not done or their idea of professional cleanup is different that mine. I had a lot of paint chipping, so I can understand not getting all of it, but I would assume a professional cleanup would include removing at least some of it. I'm trying to put my house on the market and now I'm spending my time sweeping paint chips off my patio. Also, I have a small area of paint in my sidewalk and a streak of paint through my grass All in all, the job got done and I have no complaints with the quality overall, but with the number of painters available in the Metroplex, I think I could find someone else next time to cover the details better.
